Very short house sit in a home with a magnificent view. Sweet kitty and chucks were easy to care for. Great location to explore Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury and Wells. We spent all the time out on the beautiful terrace adorned with plants as weather was good and we enjoyed hot air balloons fly over.
Ellie is an outstanding host who had everything organized to make our 4-week stay a pleasure. Monty, her eager-to-play border collie, is well behaved and fun to be around. We already miss him! She put together a binder that included household manuals, maps with dog-friendly parks, walks, and cafes, brochures about interesting places to explore around her area, and so on. We came a day early and she showed us around and even introduced us to Monty's vet. Her house is clean and comfortable, and she loaned us her car. Ellie's a delightful person and an excellent communicator. We highly recommend housesitting for her!
From the initial video chat and follow up communication we were confident that this assignment would be such a joy and it certainly lived up to our expectations ....and more, with wonderful views across the bay! With a flexible approach to the days that worked for us to arrive and depart Ian & Maria provided a great opportunity. A lift from the airport, which was much appreciated to provision of a car to explore the island to our hearts content. Mr Max, the star of the show and full of personality. The cheeky way he draws you into a false sense of security, purring his heart out, to the sudden swipe of indignation, there were plenty of fun times to be had with this cute cat. He's handsome and he knows it! We would certainly recommend .... however, this is Jerseys best kept secret and not sure we want to let anybody else to know :-) Thanks guys!
We had a wonderful sit with Smudge at Siena's place. she is a lovely cat who is lots of fun once she adjusts to you. (Which didn't take long at all.) Siena is a great communicator and had prepared an excellent welcome manual with all of her favourite places in the area, including two long walks to take in the Thames. Even though they were in Canada, she responded quickly to all of our queries. The area itself is wonderful for exploring London and is minutes to 2 tube stations, several supermarkets, lots of cafes and restaurants and a great local pub and theatre. We are hopefully heading back there later in the year, but if you get the chance, don't hesitate to look after the lovely Smudge.
This was a great experience for us, being in a chill neighborhood with some truly cute and entertaining little doggos. Rebecca was very communicative and left clear instructions for us. I could tell they missed their parents, but they got used to us and were affectionate. They really love napping, especially the chihuahuas! I definitely recommend walking them two at a time or even just all solo, which I did on a couple occasions. They are all really good dogs, they aren’t too hyper, it’s just easier that way because they have their own walking styles. We are a couple, so it was easy for us to do. It’s a great neighborhood, peaceful, safe. The house is really nice, new and comfortable, private. There is also a yard where the dogs like to hang out. Thanks Rebecca, Birdie and Bailey, Boudreaux and Bij!
This was our first sit and it was everything we’d hoped for and more. The pets are all brilliant. Both the dogs are relatively young and they are large but that’s no issue at all because they’re impeccably behaved. They walk very well together and you can handle them both by yourself easily. They’re both cuddly, it took Olive a little longer than Geoffrey to become familiar but when she did she loved to cosy up just as much. Both got cute quirks and we loved getting to know them. Sterling is a great character, he’ll stay out of the reach of the dogs but will stay nearby and engage with you whenever you pay him some attention. We enjoyed playing little games with him and he came to us for a few cuddles. He’s a very smart cat and again we enjoyed getting to know him too. The house is very lovely and incredibly spacious. We were very comfortable, slept brilliantly and there’s everything there you could possibly need. Sherri and Rob are great people and a pleasure to sit for, super easy-going and great at communicating. Can’t recommend this sit enough, we had a great time, 100% would sit again!
