I just came from a great stay at Marion's with her wonderful doggies and rabbit. The house is situated in a wonderful spot for the dogs to have great freedom and easy walks into the countryside. They are characters for sure, true snuggle bears. Miss them a lot after having them around only for too short of a period. .Marion is wonderful, I can't say enough really. She let's you know what's happening and gives clear instruction in her manual of what to do if things don't go as planned. You and the animals are setup to succeed and have a great time. The house is wonderful and quiet, beautiful views....
Luna was really lovely and it was so enjoyable to look after her. She would curl up with us in the bed, or join in on the sofa, and loved to play tug. She was really well behaved and never barked but was very sweet and relaxed. We walked her twice a day and played with her and had clear and easy instructions from Joanna:) the house is also really nice with a great kitchen and garden and we could walk in to town easily. Was a great stay :)
This might be our new favorite housesit - definitely a 10/10 from us! Marmite and Vasco are some of the absolute sweetest kitties! They were very playful and affectionate- often running to greet us when we’d walk through the front door and promptly asking for pets! They would snuggle up with us on the couch in the evenings, and Vasco slept many nights in the bed with us. In the mornings we'd be joined by Marmite and her adorable little “good morning” (aka "I'm hungry, feed me") chirps. Whatever we were doing we usually had one of them for company. Nikki and Sundeep were incredibly kind, warm and lighthearted hosts and truly made us feel at ease. We were able to come by the day before their sit started and felt an instant connection. Their house is lovely and very cozy and we had absolutely everything we needed to feel right at home during our stay (including detailed instructions printed and laid out for us when we arrived, which was extremely helpful). We enjoyed staying in such a beautiful and historic building, and they are in a really great location - only 10 minutes walk from the city center but in a very calm and peaceful neighborhood. A perfect launching point for all the Bath sightseeing while getting to rest and cuddle kitties in between. If you are coming to Bath we would highly recommend housesitting for this lovely family!
This sit is a 5-minute walk to parks or fields and footpaths for walking. Zotti is well behaved on walks, takes a treat gently and lives for meal times and snacks. Angie is 100% clear about Zotti's needs in her instructions such as barking to be covered with his blanket or needing the loo once at night. Zotti is a gentle old boy and is really easy company. Victoria (daughter) prepared all Zotti's food and we took it in turns to have him overnight. Scrabble is a fantastic character, just needs the litter tray checking and feeding 2x a day. The chickens are easy to look after. The apartment is large, with huge windows, well equipped kitchen and fantastic ovens. Victoria pops in during the day (M-F) to make lunch, or collect /drop off Zotti. Angie has a housekeeper (Bee) for the apartments & a weekly cleaner. Everyone was friendly, down to earth and helpful. Angie left detailed information, including how to program the hottub 👌🏼
What a beautiful desert retreat! Quiet neighborhood with mountain views straight outside the front door. There's plenty to do with the Green Valley Recreation centers, cycling trips, and a great mountain range for hiking nearby. The pets are great, Miss Gruntle is aptly named (you'll find out why soon enough :)) and Felix is a happy quiet dog. Jennifer and Francis are easy-going, friendly, and have great communication. They left very clear instructions with helpful post-it notes around the house, as well as a detailed Welcome Guide. I can highly recommend this sit if you're looking to slow down and relax for a few weeks somewhere nice :)
I had the BEST time with Fonny. I miss him soo much! Everyday was an adventure and I really had so much fun with him-- he definitly helped cure my annual SAD. He is such a big baby haha in the best, funniest ways. He is playful, super intelligent, CUDDLY, and so in tune with you -- and omg his eyes he KNOWS how to work them!! Terra and Sophia were equally wonderful. Their home is clean, bright, spacious, and so homey. Location was perfect. They set me up with everything I needed and were always available if I had any questions. I would absolutely sit for them again!
