We had an exceptional experience with Shelley who stayed at our house for eight days. Each day, she provided photos of kitty playtime and even sent us videos of them snuggling with her, which truly put our minds at ease. I greatly appreciate her cleanliness and adherence to our house "rules." She was also conscientious about taking the trash out on the correct day and respectfully vacated our home while the housekeeper was present. Her attention to detail and genuine care for our cats were remarkable. We can't thank Shelley enough for not only caring for our home, but for also doing a steller job caring for our two sweet babies. This was our first time using zeewoi and we are so grateful that Shelley was our sitter. We highly recommend her services!
It never ceases to amaze me the wonderful people I get to meet on the Trusted Housesitters platform. Catriona is amongst the nicest, welcoming hosts I’ve come across in 6 years of sitting. She is easy to get to know, warm, friendly, very thoughtful, considerate and immensely flexible . Just an amazing host through and through. I truly enjoyed getting to know her and am ever so grateful for the generosity in letting me have the joy of staying in her lovely home and having the company of darling Rory who was simply a joy to care for. He was easy to look after and very lovable. There are no words to adequately express my heartfelt gratitude to Catriona for going out of her way the moment I arrived to make sure I was settled in and would be okay for the sit. She is incredibly organised and thought of everything under the sun. Catriona offered to personally meet and pick me up from the train station which would help a lot as I don’t drive. But I took Uber instead as I wasn’t too far away in Hemel Hempstead . We had lunch and got to know each other better. I can’t recommend this sit enough. Wonderful homeowner, beautiful home, amazingly well behaved and gorgeous kitty, an idyllic tranquil countryside sit and a peaceful haven. You simply cannot ask or want for more. From the detailed Welcome Guide, brochures of places of interest, you’d have everything you need. The sitter’s annex quarters is exceptionally spacious and very private. Whilst Chalkshire is accessible if you don’t drive, a car is highly recommended. Whilst available, public transport isn’t great. Cabs are not readily available, must be booked in advance and expensive. Having your own car is essential to enhance the sit experience. If you love nature , enjoy rural settings and want a short country break, have a chance to do Catriona’s sit, don’t hesitate to grab this gem of a sit. A car would enhance exploring the area which has much to offer. Icing on the cake for me was the tranquil setting and definitely Rory, Catriona’s endearing and engaging 3 year old kitty. Rory’s very independent but extremely affectionate at the same time. He loves and seeks human companionship, engages in play and responds well to attempts in interacting with him. He was outgoing, very social and took to me immediately when I arrived. Such a delight and a breeze to care for. I enjoyed every moment of my time with him, watching his antics and personality unfold. The grounds, garden and immediate rural setting is a tranquil haven. Trust me, you will enjoy the outdoors as much as the interior of Catriona’s immaculate home. So massive thanks once again Catriona for your hospitality, generosity and friendship. Your attention to detail, delicious homemade shortbread and chocolate cake were immensely appreciated. Your love, devotion & commitment for Rory resonated with me. You are the essence of what the THS platform mantra is all about. 10 stars out of 5 for Catriona and 100 stars for Rory.
Karen invited me the day before they went away so she could go through Poppy's daily injection requirement. It was nice to meet both Karen and Mark. Karen was super helpful in giving me lots of interesting places to go and see. I loved the commuter ferry at Putney Pier into the city, which was very reasonably priced that Karen suggested. Although I thought I would be caring for three cats. Jake, Poppy & Sam. I never got to see Sam. The feeding of the foxes was interesting too. I was amazed at Karen's generosity with her supply of food for them. That was lovely. This was an interesting sit and as Poppy is diabetic she did need twice daily insulin injections but the vet-pen is very easy to administer. She was very relaxed about it all. Jake was super cute and a typical very lazy tomcat. I loved him.
We highly recommend this house sit on Hilton Head. The two dogs and cat were easy to care for and well trained. We enjoyed walking down to the beach with the dogs every evening. Anita and Kent were great hosts, showing us around to some of their favorite spots. Their home is beautiful and we appreciated the upstairs guest suite.
