This was a magnificent house/petsit. Carol and Alan are wonderful people with a gorgeous home and two fun pets. Zoe is a sweet, lovable cat who is easy to care for and Banksy is a cute parakeet that loves to chirp while keeping a close eye on Zoe. The home is situated in a tranquil, hilly, wooded area but is very close to grocery stores, restaurants and shops in San Rafael and San Anselmo. There are fantastic hiking trails close by. It is also not far from San Francisco and wine country. We loved this housesit and highly recommend it!
This was a great location for exploring Fort Collins and the surrounding area. Meghann and Missy’s home is full of all kinds of cute things to look at, and has a lovely deck and garden that was perfect for a relaxing weekend in the spring sunshine. Oscar is very soft but quite nervous - as an elderly dog he was happy just sleeping the day away. Doodle is a confident bundle of energy who wants to be with you all the time - he travelled really well in the car when I went out exploring, just curled up in his bed, but could also be crated for a few hours when I walked into town. He’s still got some house-training issues but will hopefully grow out of those soon. Muffin is a sweetie who held his own against Doodle’s play-fighting - they are about the same size! And the chickens were entertaining to watch. Both Muffin and the chickens had automatic feeders so just needed keeping an eye on - very low maintenance. The only challenge for me was around feeding Oscar his food and medication in the mornings as he sometimes didn’t want to eat or would eat very slowly, and then Doodle and Muffin would try to get his food - from that point of view it would have been easier to have two people just to have more hands! But the rest of the time it was very manageable for one person and nice to have the mixture of pet personalities!
Ollie and Theresa were very welcoming and showed us everything we needed to know about the house and Tiber. The welcome guide was very comprehensive and we felt prepared. Tiber was a dream to look after. He is adorable and very well behaved. He walks well on a lead and we enjoyed walking in the surrounding areas. We'd recommend house sitting here to anyone (single, couple or family)!
The sit for Avni was wonderful.🐾😍😊 I loved staying with Timba, Jazz and Dutch. Avnis home is cozy and I had a perfect time with the furry crew. Timba, such a bright and amazing dog! Jazz, the cuddliest dog I have ever seen, who loves catching a ball, and Dutch(man)… well no words to describe this cat. I love him.😻 Caring for the three was easy and our time together flew by. Homeoffice together was easy, snuggling on the sofa and numerous beach walks made us a perfect team! I miss them already.❤️ I had a perfect room to stay, the sea view was stunning every day and the beach was a short walk away. The communication with Avni was so clear, fast and lovely! Whenever I needed something she was there. I can only recommend this sit, the three (or four) furry companions and Avni! I would love to come back at any time.🥰🥰🥰
What can I say, besides 10 stars? Lovely hosts, little cat who I absolutely adore and lovely location. Carolyn and Gilles were excellent, they were friendly and welcoming and the communication was very easy. Their guide is very complete and they even took their time to record some videos to ensure I had all the information. They are very generous and welcomed me with some gifts and food. They wanted to make sure I settle in easily in their house, they went above and beyond to make me feel as comfortable as possible. They made sure to turn the single bed into a double bed and leave plenty of space for me to place all my things. The room is just perfect. Feeling comfortable in their house was very easy from the beginning. It is very beautiful, filled with books and art and has everything you need. The garden is large and beautiful. I was very fortunate to see it in its different phases. When I arrived, the trees had no leaves, and little by little, the buds started to appear, and the flowers also began to grow. It's lovely to receive visits from different birds that have the routine of stopping by the garden to eat and drink. On sunny days, it's wonderful to eat, read outside or just lying on the grass. The house is very well located. The tube and train stations, buses, shops, and supermarkets are very close by. The neighbors are very kind and respectful. I love Richmond. It' s a beautiful and unique place, It has many parks, and you can feel like you're in the middle of nature. It's a special experience to see the deer in Richmond Park And just a step away, you are in the city with all the shops and restaurants. The walks along the riverside are very beautiful, and the atmosphere on weekends and sunny days is amazing. And the star of the show though has to be Pixie! From the first moment I sat down on the sofa, she came up to me to nuzzle her head against my face. It's her way of showing affection and asking for it. It's the sweetest thing you can imagine. Sometimes hands can scare her, but she's always happy to nuzzle. Personally she's the first cat I've met who does that. And I love it!! ❤️ That's how we greet each other. When we meet, she meows and I bend down and we rub our faces. She likes to receive small doses of affection many times a day. She won't sit on your lap for hours, but she loves cuddles in shorter doses. It's really funny how she talks to you and lets you know it's cuddle time. She will make you laugh when she talks to you, asks for things, and when she runs through the garden. During the day, she likes to sleep, especially when it rains and she loves to curl up under a blanket. On sunny days, she loves being in the garden watching birds or sunbathing. She waited for me every day to go to bed. Before sleeping we had the same routine: cuddles and purrs to say good night and the same to say good morning. So sweet.. Pixie has been my best friend and the best companion these weeks. I love you so much, Pixie. I will miss you. Thank you very much. And thank you very much Carolyn and Gilles ❤️
I already miss Kierra and Lola so much! They were both such sweethearts and a joy to take care of. Moreover, James and Renée were so welcoming or hospitable--their house was cozy and comfortable from top to bottom. I had a lovely time here, especially walking Lola around the neighborhood, with such nice folks to talk to (and top-tier Halloween decorations to admire!). I highly recommend this sit for anyone.
