Sophie lovebug!

Sweet Sophie needs nothing more than a few walks per day, food and cuddles. She’s super low maintenance and an absolute love. She will lay at your feet and gaze at you with those big puppy eyes asking for nothing more than love ❤️ She’s a great walking companion, smart and obedient. She loves other dogs and all people.

Mark and Patty are the loveliest, warmest and most considerate couple you will meet. They offered to fill their immaculate, HGTV-worthy home with all our favorite foods and drinks. They left us their car to take Sophie on adventures if we wanted as well as all manor of beach supplies for us to truly enjoy this gorgeous place.

Sophie stole our hearts within minutes of meeting her and we can’t wait to come back.

I became great friends with Keiko, Lola and Alice May who know the routine from early morning fetching the newspaper to end of evening visit to the garden before bedtime. Their food was well organized and rationed for healthy weight maintenance. Walking the dogs was a daily adventure of ball throwing and greeting their companions of the dog run. The home is surrounded by great facilities, such as yoga, golf, a gym; easy public transportation: bus and train; super walks along the foreshore and into villages; trendy cafes, restos and tea rooms and it is circumscribed by bush and birds and quiet. Great support was organized in the form of friends and neighbours. I had a wonderful time and heartily recommend this housesit.

Nigel
This sit was very short but i accepted Harriet and Nigel's nice invitation with pleasure : i love cats and their home was only 55km away from mine.
I received the welcome guide and more infos on the pets routine a day before my arrival.
I met quickly Harriet and Nigel : the handover lasted only 30 minutes before their departure. But communication remained fine during my stay, when i faced some plumbing issues.
Even if the temperature is nice in Provence at the end of may, the water was too cool to enjoy the small pool.
I did not visit Tarascon, did not go out… i prefered to stay in this lovely home, full of nice paintings, to enjoy the magnificent garden and the 3 felines.
Pushkina, the ginger cat, was friendly at once. Presenting me her belly for a cuddle. Minka & Boy were more shy. I ‘m still not sure who was who as these fluffy black twins looked very similar…
Minka (?) came to see me while i was reading in bed one morning and stayed by my lap. Later on she accept to be brushed. I was pretty scared when she jumped through my bedroom window (on the 1st floor) and vanished in the ivy, but she seemed used to do so.
Boy ( ?), her brother ran away when he saw me the first time. But on the 3rd day i could approach both. They were running after the other a lot together, climbed in palm trees, play hide and seek
The 3 cats could remain often invisible for hours, hid often behind or under bamboos and bushes . They showed up when hungry or thirsty.
All wandered indoors and outdoors, as several sliding doors must be left left half open all times, althoughthere is a catflap.
Not being able to lock all doors of the house (only the garden automatic gate remains closed) before going to sleep may bother anxious sitters who may feel unconfortable at night.
I woke up once, hearing a strange noise ( i imagined somebody was opening a tap…) but it was only the boiler. I slept as a baby afterwards. And did not wake up the followig night.
I came driving but buses stop in the street facing the house so sitters without a car may go easily to the center of Tarascon, which is only 10mn away by bus, 20 on foot.
The wifi did not work well (poor signal) which may be a problem for people who work on line. I could not use my PC, only my mobile with the 4g.
The garden is magnificent and I do recommand this location.
