A month of fun filled days in capricious spring weather just flew by caring for two bright intelligent springer spaniels and two puss cats in a classic upstairs downstairs situation, the cats up, the dogs down and myself keeping the peace in inclement weather with careful and sometimes hilarious management of the wonderful covered patio adjoining the family room. Fortunately, we were able to spend many happy hours burning up excess canine energy with lots of swims in the nearby lake and long walks whenever the clouds took a break. All in all a wonderful sit in a very pleasant family home set in spacious grounds in a warm sunny location.

Heidi
In our pre-sit meeting Heidi went out of her way to insure we were familiar and comfortable caring for her new puppy Kiran and her home while she travelled. As a result of her help and opening her home to us we enjoyed getting to know Kiran and exploring the area. A welcoming gift was much appreciated and will remind us of our first visit to Charleston made memorable by Kiran as much as the 400 years of American history preserved and on display in the city.

Kiran is a wonderfully happy pup who loved retrieving his mini tennis balls as much as napping on our shoulders. At 10 pounds and 10 months of age he was the cutest puppy you could imagine, his sparkling eyes and smiling countenance a joy to greet. Kiran was well behaved and very easy to care for, on the edge of being fully potty trained and very happy to follow an easy feeding, playing, and sleeeping schedule. Although he would wake fairly early he was content to share our bed a little longer if we weren’t quite ready to face the day.

Heidi’s home gave us a cool, comfortable location to retreat from the summer heat and humidity, an eclectic library of books I made use of, board games to play and a spotless kitchen complete with Keurig Coffee maker to meet our every need. She even made extra room in her refrigerator for us which was much appreciated. Our bedroom was comfortable and closet space was opened for our use, and we both enjoyed the dual head open shower. The home is in a residential area and the fenced back yard allowed Kiran to freely run around with us without worries. We would happily return to see how Kiran progresses into full adult doghood as we have great expectations for his future.

Sheila
Sheila's house was indeed gorgeous and in an incredible location. I loved the views of the bay and the hills, especially at sunset when you can see the bridge and sometimes huge boats passing by. As a hiker, I enjoyed easy access to a 6-mile out-and-back that skirts the bay and goes into Benicia, which has plenty of cute shops and a farmer's market.

Sheila was a great communicator from the moment we connected on this platform until I left the stay. Taking care of Luna and the strays was simple and straightforward.

So, great experience overall. Thanks Sheila!

Andrew
Our sit for Jan & Andy was an absolute joy! As soon as we arrived, Jan and Andy made us feel right at home. Their home is beautiful, cozy and spacious and the surrounding field are glorious and teeming with wildlife. We were given a thorough walkthrough, met Vio, the cleaning lady (lovely woman), and communication was excellent, no matter how trivial the questions I asked were. :)

Barney, the dog, is the cutest and sweetest boy you’ll ever meet! He is so handsome and perfectly mannered. Walking him every day, multiple times a day, was the highlight of my stay. He loves a fetch and a run in the fields, but won’t go to far without checking you’re still with him. Around the house he loves to cuddle, have his belly rubbed, and snooze on his bed. His little brother, Ruff the cat, is also a very sweet and snuggly kitty. He loves a good cuddle and will let you brush him, while Barney helps by licking him vigorously on the head. Barney and Ruff have a very cute relationship, and get along great!

Our sit was for 2 weeks, but we definitely wish it was much longer. We enjoyed our time with Barney and Ruff so much, we didn’t want it to end. We would love to sit for Jan and Andy and look after Barney and Ruff again in the future without hesitation!

Thank you, Jan and Andy for welcoming us into your beautiful home and trusting us to look after your beloved Barney and Ruff!

Jordan
What a great location tucked near North Hills center. The home is in a really sweet spot with very tall trees and a neighborhood mix of older and new homes, reflecting the expansion and growth of the area but keeping all the local charm with walkable streets. Amos seemed very excited to spend time with me, and so was I in receiving it from him since he was so sweet and lovable and easy to care for. It was great to have him by my side. The cats were just adorable - so cute looking and they even fit their names perfectly. They loved to roll over for belly rubs whenever they came around. Ashley and Jojo were very easy to communicate with and provided perfect details to make the sit go smoothly. I highly recommend this house sit.

Leticia
House-sitting for Leticia and caring for her three wonderful dogs Clementine, Oliver, Ferdinand, and Omnom (the Tortoise guardian) was amazing. Leticia explained and plained everything very well, she is very friendly, and made us feel like we are part of her family. The dogs are well-behaved and love to cuddle. The Tortoise is very easy to care for. The house is in a great location with a big backyard, easy access to public transportation, and a shopping plaza. We are looking forward to scheduling the next sitting at this house full of love.
