Kara took care of our two dogs and two cats while we were away for three weeks. She sent us pictures and video every few days of our pets, watched over our house and garden, and kept us apprised of what was going on. She walked the dogs several times everyday, which we were thrilled about. When we got home, all was as we left it. What a fun sit. I always wanted to get to know pigs and now I have. Alex and Margaryta are a friendly, warm, and loving couple. Their home is centrally located to most everything Vancouver has to over. However, I enjoyed just hanging out at their home and cuddling with the dogs. I took them on a couple of long walks in parks, and they were so well behaved.
We had a wonderful time at Anna's beautifuĺ home with her lovely pets. Anna made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of information as well as a delicious cake and wine. Slippers and Boots are two adorable Border Terriers. Even though slippers is fairly old he still loves his walks and the occasional game. Boots is much younger and is always ready for a walk or a game. They both love their cuddles. Socks is a friendly, sweet natured cat and also loves to sit on your lap for a stroke. Boots, Slippers and Socks all get on very well together. It was a very enjoyable housesit with two lovely dogs and a adorable cat.
This experience was truly exceptional! Neil and Claire provided a complete guide outlining Tink and Dex's daily routine, care instructions, and house guidelines. We had a meeting a day prior to the sit, during which they gave me a thorough house tour and explained everything about taking care of Tink and Dex. The house is fully equipped with all the essentials and is conveniently located, just a 20-minute walk from the city center. This allowed me to avoid leaving the dogs alone for extended periods. Communication with Neil and Claire was smooth and easy. As agreed, they regularly checked in to ensure both the dogs and I were comfortable. Tink and Dex are a joy to look after, each with their distinct personalities. Getting to know them over the two-week period was incredibly enjoyable. They are full of energy during walks and equally love to unwind at home. I want to express my gratitude to Neil and Clare for welcoming me into their home and entrusting me with the care of their adorable furbabies.
What a nice sit! Ramona and Jean were perfect hosts. Communication was prompt and friendly from the moment I applied until the end of the sit. They welcomed David and I into their lovely Greenwich home the day before the sit was to begin. We walked through the area on a beautiful walk with the super fantastic dog Hailey to learn the lay of the land. What a great area for walking this sweet cavapoo! The house is very close to a nice river walk path along the Thames which we walked every morning with Hailey. The walk winds past many historic sites and leads into town where we could enjoy our morning pastry at one of two excellent bakeries. There is also Greenwich park nearby which is a beautiful large park where Hailey could enjoy the company of other dogs ( she is great with other dogs) and chase squirrels. Hailey was the star of this sit. She is very well behaved, so snuggly, and adopted my partner David and I right away. We fell madly in love and enjoyed hanging out with her on the terrace in the back and in the house, which was a very comfortable and stylish place. We enjoyed Hailey so much we took her everywhere we went. She was so happy to come along and provided us with many laughs and great joy. Greenwich is a vibrant area of London and if you are looking for a great dog and city vibe, I highly recommend this sit. I would not hesitate returning to sit Hailey if our schedules aligned.
Elizabeth and Michael were extremely generous in allowing us to share this sit with my parents. They live in a beautiful part of England with a stunning house and garden. Their Welcome Guide was one of the most comprehensive we have ever received and all communication was seamless and efficient. The chickens are very entertaining and provided some gorgeous eggs too! I had a very comfortable stay here as it's country feel was quite endearing, and reminded me of long summers at a childhood friend's home in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The pets, Sky, Bear, and Calle, were all very well behaved. While Sky is a big dog, he has a gentle demeanor, and is great on the leash. I ranked this stay 5/5 across the board other than the 4/5 on cleanliness, which is partially due to the pets use of the bedroom I stayed in as their den. The morning light in this home is fantastic and the warmly lit evenings in the rustic and comfortable living room had me falling asleep several times on the supremely comfortable leather sofa. There is easy access to nearby hiking, restaurants, and shops, though you will want a car with you during your stay. Also of note, the home is in neighboring Orinda, not Lafayette as the description indicated at the time of my application.
