Susan and Phillip's housesitting assignment was one of our memorable highlights during our 2 month vacation in Ireland! Their beautiful home is very charming with rolling lush pastures to walk their dogs Chester and Poppy. We truly enjoyed their pets , playing and watching them lovingly interact with each other. The adorable cats Oscar and Felix, the dogs best pals, even joined us on long walks and the carrot feeding of Connie, their pony. They are all just one big happy family of pets living the good life with their masters Susan and Phillip. The location of their farm house put us in the heart of the Irish horse countryside within minutes of The Irish National Stud & Gardens. It was a very lovely experience and we are assured any one else fortunate to housesit/petsit for them will feel the same!
We really enjoyed our sit looking after Tigger for Camilla and Keith. We were made very welcome and were provided with all the information needed to ensure a trouble free stay. Their house is gorgeous, clean and so comfortable, and our bedroom and bathroom was perfect. They have a stunning garden in which we were fortunate to be able to have most of our meals because the weather was so good. We certainly would recommend sitting for Camilla and Keith, you won’t be disapointed.
We had a wonderful time in Manchester. Rowan and Sally are amazing people, we had great talks before they left. Bunty and Millsey, the cats are not the cats that jump on your laps instantly, but they are very sweet and easy to take care of. The tortoises are happy as long as you feed them, although I think that they could easily go without food as they have all the greens in the garden : ) But we made sure they had their fresh pumpkin! The house is beautifully decorated, very spacious and located in a trendy part of Manchester full with restaurants and shops! We had fun exploring Manchester in a very relaxt way. I recommend this housesit!
Chris and family made me very welcome to their lovely home, kindly leaving me a few treats and detailed house information and pet care instructions printed out ready for my stay. The house is light, spacious, extremely clean and cosy with a very well equipped kitchen and a comfortable guest room and shower room on the ground floor. I had everything I needed to look after Saffy and Storm, who were both characters. Storm has an indoor and outdoor enclosure and run, plus can be let out to free roam and Saffy is an elderly cat who slept a lot of the time but came down for a fuss in the evenings. They were both relaxed with me as a stranger. The location is perfect for heading out to the Peak District by car or bus and has very good links to the town centre/rail station by bus. Local shops were a 10/15 minute walk away, with a library and the shops, cafes and bars of Ecclesall Road accessible a further walk or bus ride down the hill. I had a really enjoyable stay and would be very happy to recommend them to other sitters, or visit again in future.
