We really can’t overstate what an enjoyable winter housesit we had at Villa Miela, an amazing eco-adventure resort built by Ben and Emma on a Montenegro mountainside. Ben and Emma are easy going, charming, straight-forward hosts who communicated well before and during our two week stay. Koko, the family pooch, is low maintenance, incredibly well behaved and a delightful companion for strolls or just relaxing by the fire. The cats, Wooster and Rosie, were also easy care, liked the occasional cuddle, their meals on time, but were generally self-contained. The guest house where we stayed has heaps of rustic charm, a well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, hot shower and bathtub, and a breathtaking view across Lake Skadar to the distant Mountains. Virpazar, a quaint and colourful lakeside village, is only a few minutes away. It had a well stocked market, cafes, souvenir shops, bars and boat rides. Everything about the housesit went smoothly, including the weather, and we would certainly welcome a return engagement.
I really enjoyed staying at Suzan and Jon's place. We had a delicious dinner together the night before they left for their trip, and communication with them was smooth. The house is absolutely beautiful, well located and with the most amazing garden! Mollie the cat is the cutest thing and very easy to look after. I'd happily do it again :)
April picked me up at the station. We had a chat and tea before she had to leave. I had the pleasure to look after her cat Luna, one of the sweetest cats I met so far. My first evening was spent in front of a warming fire burning in the wood stove. April‘s house opens to her beautiful garden with different options to spend time in. Train service will take you right into the center of Southampton in six minutes. Sitting for April was very pleasant. I would gladly come back.
Mocha is a dream dog. He’s a sweet companion with bursts of excitement peppered throughout the day. Hilary and Matt’s home is comfortable and located in a beautiful neighborhood, perfect for walking Mocha . He’s also an easy passenger who clearly loves the car. We had an adventure to Blackie’s pasture. No issues with other dogs. Aside from many comfy spots to hang with Mocha throughout the day, the views are stupendous. This is a neighborhood to take sunset walks! I’m looking forward to another sit next week. 😊 Hilary is a good communicator and a generous host

I first met with Cindy to meet her and Nero well before the sit as I was in Brussels. Nero and I immediately hit it off, as did Cindy and I. This sit was such a joy. Nero knows his own mind (in a good way) and we got on brilliantly. I updated Cindy daily. The aparment is wonderful - beautifully decorated, close to shops and the metro, and of course, it comes with Nero! What can I say... the whole experience was superb! Highly recommended!
