What a fabulous housesit this was! First of all, Diane is a wonderful person. She was very helpful both before we met and while I was in Carvoeiro. She showed me everything I needed to know and shared her time and home graciously when I was there. She has a beautiful home and two terrific dogs. I can’t say enough about Pepper and Barney. They both have such a kind demeanour and are very easy to be with. Their puppy dog eyes had me from the get-go. In a matter of days we developed a very nice bond. I miss them already. Thank you to Diane for the opportunity to do this housesit. I definitely will be returning to the Algarve area sometime soon and would love the chance to do this again!
Buster was incredibly kind so well trained and is just a lover boy. The home was beautiful, had everything I needed. Will kept good line of communication around picking up of packages, watering plants and informing me about Buster’s needs like food and vet visits. Overall 10/10 sit. Buster is a fan of lizards so he will chase them down if given the chance haha.
An absolute pleasure! Steve and Deb are communicative and considerate pet parents, have a lovely home, and of course, three awesome kitties! I would sit for them anytime.
Martin and Yvonne made feel very welcome in their lovely home, we shared a meal together prior to the sit, we were well informed and equipped to ensure the home and animals would be well cared for. The detailed information, maps and contact via mobile all helped us have a great enjoyable house sit. We enjoyed lots of walks with Inca, visiting the local villages, meeting friendly locals, and and surrounding countryside. We were also well placed to see family and friends. Looking after the 50 sheep, 3 rams, 2 donkeys and 1 chicken gave us a great taste of country life. Thank you!
We had the best time with kitchi❤️ He is just the sweetest boy and we enjoyed every single minute of our stay ! He is such an affectionate and well behaved dog . The house is spacious and clean ! I absolutely fell in love with the sweetest boy in an absolutely beautiful home. I would sit for Rabea and kitchi again , every time 😇
Will and Veronica provided a detailed house guide in advance and I felt set up for success, just about any question a sitter could have was answered in the guide! They were also kind enough to let my mom come with me and we were able to enjoy a belated Mother’s Day celebration this weekend. As the owner of an Irish wolfhound I needed a home from home for her where she was a part of the family. Hamish loves being here. He always comes home as if he’d just had an amazing holiday with many friends. Penny has an amazing way with dogs. We can relax in the knowledge that Hamish is having excellent care and being treated as one of the family.
We are so lucky to discover Penny, we have a Vizsla called Paddy, that loves to be with people and Penny and Steve make him feel very much at home. He loves time spent at Penny’s. There is always something for him to do or other friendly dogs for him to socialise with. Penny’s dog care business is the epitome of a professional canine carer.
My Vizsla Hugo stayed with Penny for a few days to see how he got on before our 2 week holiday at end of the year. I had absolutely nothing to worry about. Penny had 5 more Vizslas visit her through his stay. I received many photos and a videos of him having a lovely time and he came back a very sleepy boy.
We have been taking Abby and Squid to Penny for a few years now and I wouldn't send them anywhere else. It really is a home away from home so that you can relax and know that your dogs are well taken care of while you are busy elsewhere

I've used Jen's dog walking services twice now and she is brilliant. She sends photos of my dog on the walk with an update of how it went. She also has a tracking app which plots the route of the walk and where my dog had any wees or poops to show everything is normal, really impressive. Jenz pets was purrfect. I was in hospital and unable to look after my 3 cats, so my good friends arranged with Jen to feed and spend some time each day with my furry friends, which she did VERY WELL. Zoe has been great for our dogs. She possesses a great love and understanding for dogs and has always been flexible, reliable and trustworthy with our little babies. We would recommend Zoe without hesitation and the dogs would definately give her the paws up.

Over many years of using a variety of dog walkers I am so impressed with Zoe, the Fairy Dogmother. Considerate, flexible and completely reliable, Zoe has cared for our Labradoodle, Bella, and now our puppy, Margot. She has also been a life saver on several occasions when she has cared for our elderly cats, one of whom needs twice daily insulin injections. I can’t really say enough about Zoe and she would be my first recommendation for anyone wanting their pets cared for.

Zoe has been looking after my girl Finn for over a year and I'm really happy with her service. She's practical and sensible with bags of common sense - communication with Zoe works like a dream as I'm not always that reliable! Finn loves her, and is always super-excited to see her. I have no worries when Finn is out with her, and in fact going on walks with other dogs has got rid of her grumpiness around the smaller ones. It's also reassuring that Zoe knows so much about animal health and she's the first to notice if something is off.
It's been a year since we started using Zoe's dog walking services, and can honestly say that she is amazing, our dog isn't the easiest to walk and likes to pull a lot. Zoe has been so nice and understanding during these times. I can't recommend her enough she has been totally exceptional and our dog loves it when he hears her coming in the gate.

My very lively 9 month old cocker spaniel adores her & is beside himself when she arrives! I'd heard about The Fairy Dogmother locally but it wasn't until mid December last year that I contacted Zoe. I was immediately impressed by her open professionalism. She arranged a home visit & took on our pooch pretty much straight away! It is no exaggeration to say that I don't know what I would have done without her these last 2 months, as anyone who has taken on a puppy will know, they can be all consuming. With Zoe's help I can fully appreciate the fun parts of dog ownership. Everyone should have a Zoe!!
I can't recommend Zoe highly enough. My dog adores her. He is always out longer than the hour and since walking with her and the other dogs he is much better socialised around other dogs. Zoe has helped me out by coming in later in the day to feed my dog, if I've had to work late. She is extremely accommodating, has given sound advice on looking after Alf and genuinely cares about him. She takes lots of photo's when out and about so you can see how your dog is enjoying himself.
I first contacted Zoe when I broke my leg and could not walk Dudley my black Labrador. She has been a life saver for me and Dudley, she is great with him and he loves the fantastic walks she takes him on. Zoe has also stepped in at short notice to do additional walks and fed Dudley and my 2 cats when we have been away overnight. I am 100% satisfied with Zoe and the services she provides.
Jessica was an excellent pet sitter for our cats and rabbits. She took great care of them and made time to give them plenty of fuss too. She also messaged us regularly to let us know how they were. Would definitely recommend.

Highly recommend jessicas pet care, I have 3 fur babies and I get extremely worried about leaving them but jessica is reliable and instantly made me feel at ease with leaving them in her care. Amazing place. The care, fun and professional attitude Ali and her staff give to my dogs whilst they are there us second to none. The facilities are stunning and so much better than a traditional boarding kennel. My dogs love it there and I am very confident that no stone is left unturned in making sure that their stay, whether for day care or boarding, is very well supervised.

Carol is brilliant. She works with you and has great attention to detail wanting to know daily routines and patterns so that your pet is completely catered for. I felt at ease being away knowing my dog was being looked after. I even got regular updates and photos. I would never hesitate to use Stellar Pet Care and neither would my dog!

We've always been really pleased to have Nicola as pet sitter for our pets when we have been away on holiday and we know that they have all been looked after very well. She has stayed on several occasions over the past four years and it was only due to her being busy that we could not have her every time. Myself and Rocky really enjoyed our experience with Tracey at Dogwarts K9 Academy. We completed both the beginners and progression sessions and have seen such a big difference in Rocky. I started very anxious with a puppy who was always overexcited and constantly bitting on his lead to a dog who walks so much nicer on the lead and can even remain on his boundary. Calmness is definitely key! Would definitely recommend!
Dogwarts training academy is a paw-some !!Tracy teaches the use of positive reinforcement making it a fun and rewarding experience for both you and your pup. The results are so amazing and can’t believe how the training has made life with a puppy so much easier. Tracy is always on hand to answer any questions as well as providing an online hub for you to refer back too.
We have been taking Arthur, our Cockapoo, to Dogwarts K9 Academy for the last 5 months. Arthur has completed his Wizdogs Apprenticeship (beginners group) and has now moved through to progression sessions. Every single session has been fantastic. The sessions are well planned, always lots of fun (for us and Arthur!) and always build on the skills and games worked on in previous sessions. Alongside this, we have also completed beginners scent work for fun classes. Arthur is now a fully qualified truffle hunter! We can't recommend Dogwarts K9 Academy enough - great classes, great teacher and most importantly, Arthur absolutely loves it :-)
I've been reflecting on our time with the training from dogwarts .for nearly a year we enjoyed our classes and scent workshop .because of an incident whilst scent training we were asked not to take dolly anymore to either classes.although initially Tracy was going to give us.some one to.one training we felt that the attitude towards us eventually rejoing the groups was not 100% clear we have had to find another behaviourist to help us with dolly.we felt really let.down and hung.out.to dry by tracy.which of course she denies those conversationds.its suchca shame as we now have no where to trainmeach.week or other workshops and both dolly and i are very upset we didnt get more support .three are lessons to benlearny from our experience fir both teacy and ourselves.safety for all of us should have been the first exercise.. obviously Tracy will have a different take on this but we are still very upset 12 weeks on and feel angry at the lack of proper support from the beginning. If your dog is a happy well rounded dog you chill gain an awful lot from the classes but if there is a problem it is a different case
Finding the right training system for my dog wasn’t easy till the dog and I met Tracy from dogwarts. It sounded a bit complicated when I first read the blurb but it was such a joy when we went to the class. No big numbers, personal help for me and the dog and some homework to keep us going between classes. We look forward to the next class.
Absolutely brilliant training classes that are unlike any I have attended before as they’re mostly game based - really fun sessions which we enjoy just as much as the dog. We’ve recently completed the first life skills beginners block with our rescue dog Oliver who has been with us for nearly three months, the difference in him is amazing already! Group sizes are small and the activities are customised so you can progress at your own pace. Tracy is a great instructor and the online platform which she updates each week allows you to go back in and review the activities at home, including game cards and instructional videos of what you covered in class. We’re really looking forward to starting the second block this week and realising even more of Oliver’s potential :)
I'm absolutely delighted with the progression that my reactive dog has made in just five weeks with Tracy. She really must be part-wizard! Tracy is always calm, positive, creative in how she works with each dog / owner pair as individuals, and willing to answer even the most inane question. I'd thoroughly recommend her to anybody who wants to learn more about working with their dog in a positive way, in a super-positive environment. Thanks, Tracy! I have seen a huge improvement in Rosies’ behaviour since we started lessons with Tracy. The games and exercises are lots of fun for both dog owner and really effective. We are are looking forward to our next course.
After getting my Jackapoo girl I wanted to start on the right foot, in terms of her training and my training. I was fortunate to come across Tracy's beginners puppy session on Facebook. Tracy is very knowledgeable and is ever so helpful with all my questions. Enjoyed so much the beginner's sessions that I did not hesitate to sign up to the next level up. Looking forward to more game based training and the platform based videos and reading e-books/articles that Tracy shares with us. Excellent way to really bond with your dog 😃💛🐶
Riley and I had such a great experience with Tracy and Steve when attending Dogwarts. Learning by playing games is so much nicer for us and easier at the same time. Classes are small and each dog gets equal time - we love that as Riley doesn't like to be in a big group. Trace was always kind and helpful, asking if we understand everything. We missed one lesson but she was kind enough to move it forward for us. We are continuing for another set of lessons and already looking forward to it! Thank you both! See you soon!
