This is another successful sit under our belt! Eileen and John watched Olive for 10 nights over Christmas. We were able to meet them the night before we left and explain the house and have Olive meet them before we left the next am. Olive was relaxed when we came home (always my benchmark for a good sit!) and the house was clean and perfectly in order. I also give them thumbs up for handling an unfortunate situation where the power went out on 12.24 and then when it came back on the heat didn't work - on one of the coldest days Durham has seen in a long time. We had lots of back and forth communication between NC and Germany, where we were, and it was resolved in about 12 hours. I appreciate their willingness to see the problem through. Not a fun situation on Christmas Eve! But all's well end's well! Thanks, Eileen and John!

If you are looking for a great location with 2 sweet dogs then this is the place. Alex lives right near the Lucca wall to walk anround and it is so convenient to the train station. Kiwi was a spunky little lady and Kenya was a queen who liked to lounge a lot of the day in her older age. They were both so sweet and it was great to have furry companions on my trip. Alex was kind and very clear with instructions and checking in. ❤️

Vlasta
Vlasta and Alain were such great hosts! The hospitality and communication was excellent and Zorro was very easy and fun to care for. The home has a great backyard and is very comfortable to be in with a lot of natural light. I am looking forward to spending time with Zorro in the future!

Matt and Anna's house is gorgeous and in a friendly, nice neighborhood. We loved sitting in front of the gas fireplace, reading and looking at the beautiful snow-capped mountains. And watching movies in their downstairs movie room (complete with huge screen and theater seats) was a treat. Because we were there during a cold, snowy time, it was really nice to be able to park in their garage.

Bun Bun is a sweet little thing and easy to care for. She uses a litter box, which we cleaned daily. She is shy but eventually enjoyed being petted, and she liked being fed leafy greens and carrots. The chickens were chatty when we went into the back yard, and they were happy to be fed their special treats along with their regular food. Every other day we cleaned their coop and collected eggs.

Other responsibilities were minimal, such as bringing in the mail and packages, so we were able to get out and go skiing and snowshoeing.

We were grateful that Matt and Anna were thoughtful about the Covid situation, which was bad when we first arrived--so instead of meeting in person, we did a video tour and communicated often by text. They gave us information about how to get into the house by ourselves, as well as the number of the neighbors should we need help. It all went just fine. And lucky us: we were able to get vaccinated while we were in Utah. All around, a wonderful two-month housesit.

Dorothy
Dorothy's home is so special! The perfect spot for exploring Peekskill, making art and feeling at home. I felt so comfortable taking care of Dorothy's place. Jainey was a delight. A very chill cat who enjoys sleeping on the couch next to you while you work or read etc. I would house sit for Dorothy again in a second.

Maja
The apartment is really cute and the cats are really pretty. Oskar is quite trusting while Mio is quite skeptical. There is a nice balcony in the middle of Hamburg. However, since it is in the middle of Hamburg you should pay attention to the noise level of the street. Things are a little quieter on weekends. But it was very good to look after Oskar and Mio.
