We enjoyed housesitting for Diane and Glenn, their two dogs, Duke and Max, and Manny the cat, along with several sheep. Duke, the German Shepherd is a rambunctious and playful big animal. Max, the springer spaniel is a lovable dog. The two enjoy playing together. They have lots of room to roam on the property and enjoy being inside with us, and outside. The dogs loved to take walks through the bush on their property. They seemed happy to be left alone while we explored the local area. The house is spacious with all the amenities you could wish for. Diane and Glenn welcomed us the night before so we could get to know the animals before they departed for their trip.
Penny and Bruce couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful, we had a lovely dinner together before they left, and they talked me through everything. Their home is absolutely lovely, quiet, and secure, and I was made to feel very much at home. Rosa is THE CUTEST dog! She's extremely friendly, full of energy, and easy going, as well as being well trained with a good routine. Would love to sit again :-)
I had a great time in the apartment with accompany of Bungee and Toro during the Christmas time. The communication with the couple was easy and their reaction was prompt. They explained almost everything clearly. They cared a lot for their boys, which I could understand well. :) I hope I could offer some wonderful care and time for Bungee and Toro :) They are very friendly, easy going and human oriented cats. This was a fantastic sit! Diana and Jonathan are a lovely couple who warmly welcomed us into their home. They were very organized with all key information, even showing us Otto’s favorite walk, and Diana’s delicious dinner was a real treat! Otto was a bundle of joy who can do no wrong! He immediately befriended our little dog, Shay, playing and chasing and sharing his toys. He even put his arm around her when they napped together. When they weren’t playing, he was sweet and affectionate, laying in our laps cuddling. He was great in the car and out exploring beautiful Yorkshire. Winston was very welcoming and accommodating all of our needs. The instructions were very clear on the care for his pets. The dogs are very easy going and sweet. Would definitely return for this sit again.
We looked after the wonderfully affectionate cockerpoo Hamish for Susie in September 2020. We had a very enjoyable stay taking Hamish out in the car with us to the pub, into Cambridge to visit friends, meeting our friend's dogs for walks as well as into Bury St Edmunds to see the sites of the town and visit cafes. Hamish is a friendly little dog and gets on with most other dogs and people. He's very affectionate and likes nothing more than to sit almost on top of you at night and have a lovely cuddle, which was much needed at this time as my father had just died. Thanks to Susie and Hamish for a wonderful, cosy stay in your home and all of your help at this difficult time.
