Carlos & Siobán
I loved this pet-sit. Siobán and Carlos are really nice. I arrived the night before they left. After introducing me to Rosi and Rafi, the adorable bunnies, and showing me their routine, we shared dinner together. Rosi and Rafi are amusing and great company. They get really excited about their food and would come and stand together and watch me prepare their breakfast and supper and then heartily tuck in. They also loved the routine of getting a raisin or two while on the sofa watching the telly at night. : ) It's lovely that they have the big kitchen to run around in and then the garden out the back. They love being outside, it's important to be with them outside and keep a watch as the friendly neighbourhood cat(s) like to come and observe them from the wall out of curiosity. I usually shooed the cat(s) away and they were biddable. Carlos and Siobán were very helpful and organised. The house, neighbours and neighbourhood are really nice and I could walk to the city centre or hop on a bus. I would heartily recommend this pet-sit.

Laurie
With Hurricane Irma approaching, we were prepared to split up to honor our house sitting duties in Charlotte. However, a mandatory county wide evacuation went into effect the day we were to leave. We contacted Laurie to see if we could bring our pets with us, since our house sitter had to delay his arrival a week because of the storm. Not only was Laurie willing to accommodate both us and our pets, she also let us know her trip was cancelled due to weather. Although she was staying put, she was hospitable enough to still offer up her home as a place of refuge for our entire family. Luckily for us, the storm drifted westward and our mandatory evacuation was lifted. Through it all, Laurie was easy to reach and assured us we were welcome in her home in the event we decided to voluntarily evacuate, even following up after the storm had passed to make sure we were okay. Though this was not a standard sit by any means, we thought it would be a helpful to show how multiple house sitters were affected by outside events, yet were able to coordinate effectively to ensure everyone was taken care of and happy with the end result. Hopefully we will have the pleasure of looking after her fur baby when she reschedules her trip.

Catrin
Had such a wonderful time looking after Ludo, he's such a sweet and fun boy who loves playing just as much as cuddling up on the sofa, definitely was hard to say goodbye to him! He could occasionally be quite reactionary to other dogs whilst on the lead, but luckily was easy to control with the halter and was had great recall when I did let him off in the park or on hill walks!

Catrin and Guy were both super lovely, making me feel instantly very settled and welcome and also replied really quick to any questions throughout the duration of the sit. They also have such a dreamy comfortable flat in an incredible location in Dean Village close to the city centre (with free parking!) and the gorgeous sounds of the Water of Leith flowing right outside their window/balcony!

Lucy
We had a lovely stay at Lucy and Greggs huge house, the gardens were amazing and we loved playing ball with Mara and Freya in the grounds. The dogs are adorable and we bonded quickly . The guest room was very comfortable with ample wardrobe space . Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Amanda
It was an absolute pleasure to housesit for Amanda and watch Kenzie. Kenzie had been a very sweet and calm dog during my stay and Amanda gave some amazing tips for the Katoomba area to explore. Thank you for the hospitality and great experience

Rita
Rita and John's house is perfect. The country setting is private with outstanding views of a pond, meadows and Mt. Mansfield that can be enjoyed from indoors or outside on the wrap-around deck. The house is bright and open with high ceilings and warm colors. Comfortable seating in a cozy living room and large dining room table for projects, work or dining.
The tub in the upstairs bathroom is unusual in that it is a large, round wooden tub that one needs to be able to swing a leg over to get into and then sit on the bottom under a shower that can also be used as a hand-held shower.
I stayed there in chilly November and enjoyed the wood stove as the main source of heat even though the back-up heat sources are sufficient.
John and Rita are very nice and easy to communicate with.
It was a very comfortable, cozy stay and I highly recommend it!
