My biggest concern was if my dogs would get the same kind of attention that I give them when I'm home.  I was so happy to discover how attentive Ami was to my dogs, giving lots of love and keeping up on their walks.

Cecelia was great to have stay at my house and care for Artemis. She left the house in good condition and my dog had obviously been well cared for.

During our face time there was a wonderful connection with this family and meeting Buddy, their furry child. They have been very generous from the moment they agreed to pick me up from the local airport, even with the changes which occurred.   Upon arrival they assisted me with my luggage and immediately drove to a large grocery store, his Papa offering to purchase anything I desired.
    Imagine stepping into a beautiful tropical themed 4 level home filled with so much natural Light, graciously offered by the  many windows. It was truly a Joy to live here  for 3 weeks.  Each level has either a terrace or a balcony complete with comfortable patio furniture. You have your choice of sitting at the bar stool dining set as part of the kitchen and next to the den, with an ocean view at a distance.  However, it is the rooftop balcony which invites one to observe the ships and boats or the surfers more easily. This heavenly view is perfect for your morning coffee or tea with comtemplation of your life or the day ahead or anchoring in a stillness, while breathing in the salt water air and listening to the sound of waves.  Several days ago I was lucky to see a set of splashing waves that appeared as if they were jumping into the air, then  I realized they were dolphins.  I would so love to swim with these Healing Marine Beings of Light.  This experience added to the beauty of this mini mansion which is  enhanced by the various large and small verdant plants and the variety of tropical paradise art works.
     As a passionate chef creating various vegan and vegetarian cuisine, I fell in love with the enormous and well equipped kichen.  They offered the contents to me with Love.  You can turn on music from your laptop while cooking your favorite culinary delights or have a snack and complete work on your computer.
     The most important presence is Buddy, a sweet and cuddly 100% Havanese with hair. One must comb his silky curls and long wavy long locks daily.  He doesnt mind until you get closer to his mouth.  Buddy has button brown eyes and a black rubbery looking nose.  Once he feels comfortable with you, he will follow you around the house or sit on his perch outside his parents bedroom, looking at the front door awaiting their homecoming. He loves his walks in the neighborhood, especially when we are near the home of his friends Annie, Harley, Eva and Kingsley. When he wants to cross the street, his eyes set a gaze upon you, „alright I want to go across the street now“.  Sometimes he will not budge until you honor his command. The most enjoyable time of day for Buddy is his daily playtime with his friends, around 4:30 -6:30 pm playtime.  Their Mamas sit in the front terrace facing the street open to all the passerbys, while  chatting with one another. The furry children pounce, chase one another, search for treats in a toy made for hiding them or suddenly jump on a Mama’s lap and say „ Oooh I like it here, do you mind if I rest a spell?“.  
      I AM open to sleeping with the pets and Buddy easily jumped onto the bed ready to sleep; dream; growl or bark if he heard the wind, or perhaps one of the small creatures who have visited many of his friend’s homes.  However, the fences are too high here. (Yeah)
      My guest room was beautiful with an ensuite marble bathroom.  I actually had my choice of 3 guest rooms. Buddy’s Mama has a gift and a passion for designing and making stunning quilts and one is avaialble for the couch in the upstairs den.  Another in orange, pink, yellow and lavender multi-colored is now on decorating my bed for.  My slumber was very easy here, two reasons being that this room has a very special name and of course Buddy choosing to cuddle with me.
       The heated swimming pool; 3 jacuzzis and tennis courts are 3 minutes walking distance. The San Clemente County has a relationship with Lyft and many one way rides within the city cost only $2.00 before  4 pm.  ( there are certain restrictions).  The downtown 
Avenida del Mar has a myriad of boutiques; cafés and restaurants.
       I feel honored to have been invited to this Pet Sit with Buddy and for his Mama and Papa.  If I would change anything it would be warmer Sunnier Weather, which of course begins next Sunday.
