Claire and Kris and the boys could not have been more welcoming, and their home is really lovely, a joy to look after and within walking distance (about 20 mins) of Gent, although there is also a bus and tram really close if you prefer.
The pets were so easy to look after, cosying up with you in the evening (not the chickens or rabbit of course!) and were pretty self sufficient really. There is a lovely park around the corner to take the dogs for a little stroll.
It was great to be able to just park our car and enjoy the area on foot, plus there are a few resturants near by if you want to eat out.
Organising the sit was really easy and Claire couldn't have been more helpful.
We cannot recommend this sit enough and would very happily go back.

What a lovely home and a warm welcome! Jasmine, Sika and Sorrel got on really well with our dog, Tess, they loved heading off for walks in the beautiful countryside nearby, and would all happily settle down together in the evening. The house is in a great location for trips to Fountains Abbey and Study Water Gardens, Harrogate and York. Super sit, super experience. Thank you for the opportunity.

We had the pleasure of housesitting for Terry and Thomas, and must say, their home was an absolute delight! Grace stole our hearts from the moment we met her. She is a very friendly , sweet and noble girl, it’s an absolute joy to be around her. Carlos and I worked during our stay and Grace was very peaceful and easy to care for. Terry and Thomas were very welcoming and made us feel at home. This was a great housesitting experience and we look forward to housesit for them again in the future! 🥰 🙌

If you don't care about staying with a great and generous host in a fantastic chalet, if you don't care about a super well behaved and absolutely adorable dog, if you don't like hiking and a world class surrounding is unimportant to you => hands off this sit! To everyone else: good luck with your application for the next available sit here, but I'm in the running!!!
Thx Caroline, cu Neo <3

That was very unexpected decision to go to Norway, but when I saw these cute pets and this incredible apartment, I couldn't get thoughts about them away, so the next day I contacted Tina and ordered tickets. And in 24 hours I was there! And it was everything I dreamed of and even more. Tina welcomed me, showed me her apartment and most importantly her cats.
Olaf - I read previous feedback and expected he would be the most friendly one, but, unfortunately, that wasn't a case. More precisely until the next day. In one minute he was just napping or chilling on the balcony and on the next one he was the cutest boy that wanted all cuddling of the words. That I more than gladly provided him with.
Athena was really shy but never said no when I petted her, enjoying it. She even tried several times to come to me but was stopped by Elsa.
Elsa. She melted my frozen heart from the first glance. The most energetic cat I have ever seen. And very social! And really tried to control everything that happened in the house. If someone was cuddled - she obviously had to be cuddled too.
But on one day she decided that the day when her mom was not at home and it was raining - that's the perfect time to be courageous and brave and explore the world, jumping from the balcony on the street.
And after I finally found and saved her, she tried to climb on the porch once again, forgetting anything that was 15 minutes before. Little beautiful brave kitten that I will hold dear for all of my life 💙
Apartment was gorgeous. It was really stylish and had everything you need. We really was thinking about begging Tina to let us live with ger. And the view. That view. The only thing I regret is that I couldn't see it in the night because it never gets dark there ;)
Oslo is only in 45 minutes by direct bus from this city, that was really comfortable.
Unfortunately, I couldn't explore this city more because of really bad weather, so I spent time with the cats. So it was still win in the end!

I absolutely loved staying here - the location is great - both surrounded by the beautiful countryside with walks right on the doorstep but also only a 4 minute drive to the nearest town/supermarket. Plus I was able to watch the sunset every evening sitting out in the garden or sometimes whilst having an evening swim - which was really special. Bertie and Blu are great company and very well behaved, I enjoyed taking care of them.
Couldn’t recommend doing this housesit more highly, plus Sian was always quick to respond if I had any questions and made me feel very welcome!
