The cats were 2 of the sweetest little creatures, Peach is a snuggle bug, Tuna is a little more independent. They are easy to care for as they have 24/7 access and are gone most of the time. Emily and Reid left very clear directions, complete with a comprehensive list of phone numbers, should I need anything during my stay. Their home is a very quaint rustic, work in progress, cabin just outside of town. Easy access to Sandpoint, hiking trails, the lake and all it's amenities. Once you're back at their place there is just the sound of nature.
I have just done a 2 1/2 week sit with the cat crew plus rabbit and goldfish. This sit was extended by 3 days as the family's flight from Canada was cancelled and I was able to stay on. The sit was arranged about a year in advance, and we checked in periodically to make sure everything was still OK. Just before the sit, we had a video call, and Kim and Brad took me through everything that I needed to know so I immediately felt at home when I arrived. Kim and I were in regular contact while they were away, and I enjoyed seeing photos from their travels, especially the bear. The house is very clean and comfortable although I did have to hide the various room fragrance products which I am allergic to. I didn't see very much of the cats as the weather was good so they were out and about doing cat stuff. Kim and Brad did warn me beforehand not to leave any bags on the floor as Nermal was likely to pee on them. The kitchen counter was suggested as a safe place - it wasn't! Kim did very kindly reimburse me for the food I had to discard. Bomba also had a territory-marking incident on one of the cushions in the living room, and she loves a game of 'let's knock this off the worktop', be it a mug, a loaf of bread or anything else. The moral of the story is to be extra vigilant in not leaving anything lying around and making sure doors are closed. They're very lovable and loving rogues :) ! The location is fantastic - a very quiet street, within easy reach of Sittingbourne station for trains into London or to the coast. There are also many places to visit within easy driving distance. All in all, this is a highly recommended sit. Thank you to the family, four-legged and two-legged!
I absolutely loved this house sit! Mango is the sweetest dog and a joy to take care of and Luna is chill and cuddly as can be. The house is wonderful and located in a beautiful and quiet part of town. Jessica and Mark were very welcoming and communicative and left a concise welcome guide that made everything a breeze. Their backyard/pool area has a big space where Mango can roam freely. I would highly recommend this housesit and would gladly do it again!
I loved my time at Noelle's! Each kitty has its own character which Noelle explains really well. Fatty mostly kept to herself except for the last night when I got all the love and attention she'd been saving up! Buddha needs some space to adjust at first but after a couple of hours he was playing in the living room and sitting on my lap, such a sweet boy. And the baby, she is one of the coolest characters - when she wasn't doing parkour in the living room she was snuggling on my lap or in the bed, such an affectionate cat! Noelle was such a great host too, she was always available and happy to answer any questions as well as give me suggestions of things to do and see in Basel. She brought back candy from her trip too! And she showed me how to feed the cats and give them their meds, so I felt well prepared for taking care of her family during her holiday. Her house was a nice quiet retreat out of the city with shops nearby for all you need, but it was also really easy to catch the tram into town and back.
I had a lovely stay in Dalston whilst looking after Julia’s adorable cat, Bijou. Pet duties were pretty straightforward. Bijou was a real sweetheart and although she is a little on the shy side, we enjoyed hanging out and having some play/stroke time. The flat itself is located on a quiet residential road but really well located near Buses / Overground stations and a short walk from the main high street. You also get some gorgeous afternoon sun in the lounge/dining area. Julia had also left a detailed list of home amenities and local coffee shops & restaurants to check out which was very thoughtful!
I cared for Chris and Ted's dog, Freya and their 2 foster pets Mia and Leah in May 2024, in Henderson, NV.May 23-June 12. I was coming back to the USA from a long trip in Europe and I couldn't have asked for a better homecoming. I was offered to arrive or depart earlier or later, whatever I needed to accommodate my travel plans. The home was super spacious. I was welcomed with a greeting card and lots of dog kisses. My room, that included a bathroom was clean and comfy. Instructions to. manage the home and pets were crystal clear and we. covered. contingency plans. Chris shared personalities and behaviors for each. dog and I caught. on quickly. The housekeeper kept the place clean once a week. A couple of grocery stores and fast food is nearby. You need a car for a long sit. It is a gated community. The weather was a little too hot to enjoy the outdoors, Since I worked while I sat for the dogs, it was perfect in hang inside. The backyard is big enough to play. fetch and exercise the dogs. Getting to know the pet owners was an experience of mutual respect. and. appreciation of dogs and travel. Chris and Ted are such a sweet couple~fostering dogs for active military, keeping an active lifestyle and pampering their furry kids, is truly what a happy home is all about!
