Ranger and Rocket are the cutest furballs full of love! They loved getting belly rubs and munching on snacks while watching the WNBA and Washington Spirit games with me. Ranger is such a joy to walk and explore the neighborhood which is conveniently close to many fantastic pet-friendly restaurants, bars, historic DC walking trails, and easy mass transit access. The neighbors were all so friendly and welcoming. Yegor, our host, was amazing. His home is cozy and inviting like Ranger and Rocket. He put together a detailed welcome pack for us. He was always available whenever we needed anything via phone or text. Rocket, the sweetie, shared her favorite hiding spots in the house. Their laid-back personalities made the whole experience incredibly enjoyable! I would welcome sitting with them again. Thank you Yegor, Ranger and Rocket.
I truly enjoyed this sit for Lulu & Chris. They are very friendly people & made me feel very welcome in their spacious but cosy home in the very nice area of Llandaf / Cardiff. Lulu introduced me to the 3 amigos. (Flossy & Daisy the dogs & Alf the cat) and ran me through everything that I needed to know. I do not think anyone could find better behaved pets anywhere. They were such a joy to be with & I was sad to say goodbye to them. I really hope that I get to take care of them again in the future. Absolutely loved it. We had such a lovely time caring for Lily and Scooter this past weekend! Sue has a beautiful home in a wonderful area with lots of great parks closeby (as well as the beach very close!) Sue met us prior to the housesit and was very welcoming and kind. The two dogs we got to care for were such lovely company! Lily being my little shadow around the house and Scooter lots of fun on walks! Will miss them!
The other reviewers captured the house, property, and surrounding quite well so we will focus on the pets. Melanie welcomed us into her home and surprised us with a gift basket. She had thorough instructions and was easily available for any questions. We had a lovely time hanging out with: 1. Charlie was like a fluffy ghost who came and out of the shadows. His feeding requires stealth and patience but he seemed to be used to it. He liked to be petted and would let you know when he was ready for attention with his raspy meow. 2. Rudy was the elder statesmen of the dogs. He enjoyed his alone time and surveyed his domain from the back porch. He also liked to be in your lap when watching TV. This was fine until Tucker wanted to join him. 3. Iris was a sweet girl who liked to run with the boys until she got tired and needed a long nap in the bed. She was always happy to see you, show you her toys, and tussle with Tucker. 4. Tucker is a lovable big boy who wants to be near you at all times. If you leave the room, he will show you how much he missed you as soon as you return. He preferred that we pet him instead of the others - he would work his way between us and them whenever he can. He was a real sweetie and we miss him already. Definitely recommend this sit out in the country with these furry friends.
Elena is a lovely and caring host who maintains her new home in the eastern outskirts of Tucson bordering a golf course in a lovely, clean condition. It has everything you need to be comfortable including a great bed and bedroom suite! My only disappointment came from(in part)my choosing to sit her home after reading about her lovely woodsy location with walking trails etc in her past sitters reviews. It turns out that they were actually from her previous home in Washington state and totally different from what I found in the new Tucson house! So although it still turned out to be a lovely home and neighborhood, I feel the need to mention this so the next sitters are aware of the change in state and home! You can see the beauty in her pictures. I had alot of fun with Daisy the dog who grew increasingly trusting of and affectionate with me and loved our long walks out in the desert. She was nervous about being in my car, yet readily jumped in any time I opened the door for her since she understood we were going on another adventure together! She adores sniffing out new places! Be Careful to not let her get near other dogs, especially those bigger than her. She doesn't do well in this situation, which surprised me because she is such a sweet gentle dog at all other tines! She loves to be cuddled and stroked as much as you are willing and gives back her love ever so sweetly. Boo the cat is more self reliant and her favorite activity is sitting outside in the yard in her catio! She was envious of Daisy and I enjoying morning coffee and other times hanging out on the patio until I realized this was a safe way to include her with us! She's a bit of an escape artist which i learned when the front door didn't get fully latched one day (thankfully i was faster than her and she didn't fuss as i picked her up in the yard and carried her back inside!)so you need to be totally sure all doors are fully clicked shut as youi go in and out of the house! After that I made sure she had lots of time lounging in the sun and watching all the birds and feeling the company of Daisy and myself with her! She reminded me everyone needs their time in the sun! Beaker the parrot has a fantastic litany of voices and words..and is a very talkative parrot who likes to be engaged with his humans. However he also let's out very loud sqwauks when he cannot see you for awhile leaving me to find creative ways to let him know that we didn't enjoy those sounds as much as others. I did discover how much he loves crunchy things he can nibble on slowly like tortilla chips and buttered toast crusts cut in long thin pieces and they turned out to be an alternative way to quiet him down in those louder moments! I thoroughly enjoyed preparing fruits and vegies,grains and sprouted seeds for him. And witnessing his eating pleasure! All in all...this sit was a great learning experience for me and gave me the opportunity to learn about a part of tucson I didn't know at all. Thank you Elena! We needed to have our dogs stay in daycare for the day. It was a very warm day, and one of our dogs is very shy. We can’t take him to places with a lot of noise or people. He felt right at home with sweet Randi. Randi took great care of our pups and sent us updates during the day. Randi’s services were very helpful and needed. I would recommend Randi to anyone.
Whether you're a local or just up for the weekend, Randi's Rascals is a great place to board your pooch when your day's itinerary or the hot asphalt calls for it. We took our German shepherd there for the first time in order to keep it off the scorching heat as we played tour guide for family. Randi's has plenty of space for the four-legged buddy to run around. Overall it is a good doggy approved environment and Randi really cares for furry friends. We'll definitely back.

If you are looking for somewhere to bring your fur baby STOP! Look no further! Kamp Kelly is a doggie paradise and Kelly is a dream! We were going out of town for a couple of days and were stressed about where to leave our little guy, Simba. My husband found Kamp Kelly on Google and the reviews truly speak for themselves. I called Kelly and we had a short chat about the itinerary of our trip and a little bit about Simba, then we made a date to do an in person meet up at Kamp. Simba did really well and I knew I was going to have zero issues leaving him with her. Kelly sent me pictures everyday of the little things Simba was doing throughout his stay. My kids really loved that! She has so many areas where the dogs can lay out in the sun or in the house. Little doggie pools to cool off in this desert heat. It’s truly their own little resort! Kelly has great communication and keeps in contact with you even before you drop off just to make sure you are still on for the dates you spoke of. Overall we had the best experience and when the next time comes that we need to go out of town, I will definitely be calling Kelly to watch over our boy! Thank you again for everything, Kelly! I recently left my dog, Coco, at Kamp Kelly while I traveled outside the US to meet my parents for a few weeks. Kelly, who runs the Kamp, was incredibly friendly, cordial, and professional. She sent me daily pictures of Coco, which kept me at ease, knowing my furry friend was happy and well cared for. Kamp Kelly has ample space, and it was a delight to see Coco posing in a new nook every day. Coco had a fantastic time, made some new friends, and made unforgettable memories. I will use Kamp Kelly again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe and beautiful place to leave their dog. Kelly’s attention to detail and genuine care for pets is truly commendable!
We have been leaving our dog (Roo) for stays at Kamp Kelly for the last 3 years and feel very fortunate to be able to do so. Kelly is a crazy dog-lover who has effectively given over and converted her home into a boutique dog hotel with multiple indoor and outdoor spaces that the dogs can explore and play freely, along with a bunch of comfy beds for when they’re exhausted from a long day chasing each other. She’s constantly updating and upgrading to maintain and improve the spaces. Kelly seems to be quite discriminating about the dogs she’ll accept - insisting that the pack comprise of compatible dogs - in terms of both size and temperament. When we arrive at KK, Roo jumps up to affectionately greet Kelly and then runs straight in to meet the other dogs without looking back. We get frequent texts with pix of the dogs playing and sleeping which is comforting (all the attached pix came from Kelly). The most gratifying thing to see is our little darling dog visibly torn between coming home again with us and staying with Kelly. If I was a dog - I’d insist on staying at KK’s boutique resort…..
We were thrilled with the care and treatment our dog, Winston, received during his visit to KampKelly. Kelly’s business was set up in her home and yard with several areas where the dogs could freely go. While we were gone, we received many photos to relieve our separation anxiety. My dogs get excited to go to Kamp Kelly! For them it’s like an extended stay at a dog park. They get to interact w other dogs of similar size and good temperament. And Kelly herself makes sure they have a great time… acting herself as the pack leader. The dogs love and respond well to that interaction. The facility is truly dog heaven! So much to do! So much fun for them. Kelly designed it from a dog’s perspective. That’s why they get excited to go here. No fear! Just excitement. They even get to pick their own cozy place to sleep at night. It’s given me my life back… the ability to travel a bit with peace of mind! I care so much for my two babies that it was otherwise hard to leave them anywhere. Thank you Kelly for that! I just returned from an 8 day vacation out of the country and this is the 2nd time I have used Kamp Kelly. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a safe, non caged place for your fur baby. Her compound is all made for dogs, very clean, little paths, play areas, lots of dog beds and just a fun pet boarding facility. She sends pictures daily of your pet and I am a paranoid pet owner and can’t imagine leaving him in a cage at a kennel. I can tell my dog had a great time when I picked him up. Thank you Kelly for making me have piece of mind while on vacation and I will only use her in the future.

Kelly and Kamp Kelly saved our trip! Family took a last minute trip from LA area to Palm Springs. On the 2.5 hour drive we were 20 minutes away from arriving at our hotel when we discovered we booked the one hotel option that didn’t allow pets. (We were only looking at hotels that allowed pets but somehow decided on JW Marriott, which wasn’t part of our list, last second and didn’t check the pet policy 😬) Started searching for pet boarding and Kamp Kelly came up first. 9pm on a Saturday night we gave her a call and she answered! Said we could bring DJ first thing in the morning. Brought DJ the next morning and he relaxed instantly. DJ is normally clingy and always has his defenses up. He never tried to come back to me or beg to be carried, which he always does when he is someplace unfamiliar. (We had to sneak him into our hotel room for the night and he kept trying to leave the whole night. He couldn’t get settled so leaving him alone there would never have worked.) I knew then he would be okay at Kamp Kelly which made the trip great for us knowing that he was in good hands. Kelly kept us updated the whole time via text message and Instagram photos. We were able to share Kamp Kelly’s Instagram page with some family members and they got to see what a great time DJ was having also. We will use Kamp Kelly from now on. Her love for dogs shines through. As much as we love DJ with us he clearly had a great getaway trip as well. Instead of being in a hotel room alone while we hung at the hotel pool, he got to lounge at Kamp Kelly’s pool with Kelly and his new canine friends. Thank you Kelly for taking such good care of DJ!

Judy is the sweetest lady and takes amazing care of my senior German shepherd mix and has saved me life a few times by being able to come over to my house last minute. She is the only person I trust coming into my house without my permission with my sweet baby! She will make sure your fur baby is well taken care of!

We had a last-minute trip to Palm Springs and our condo didn't accept pets, so Debra came to our rescue. Debra is the kindest and most compassionate floofer caretaker. If you're looking for day care or boarding more akin to leaving your dog with a friend or family member as opposed to a high volume overstimulating kennel, look no further. Our guy runs on the anxious and shy side yet, after a few days of boarding came back happy and well rested which I can confirm is only possible with exceptional care from a true dog lover and great environment. I give this place a 5 star because Debra is really caring for all the dogs. I really appreciate the updates and pictures that she sends. My dog gets pretty anxious sometimes but he doesn't hesitate when I bring him to Debra. I like that they are not in the kennel and free to move about and my dog is used to doing that at home. He always looked like he's having a great time. I brought my dog to her twice already on different occasions and the first time I contacted her it was a last minute and late at night but she was really flexible and she agreed to care for my dog for a couple of nights. We're not from Palm Springs but will definitely keep coming back to Doggie Heaven whenever we're in town. I definitely recommend her to anybody that wants a real loving person to care for their fur babies.
I lost my pet sitter last minute before a 3 night trip to the Palm Springs area. I found Debra off of Yelp and she instantly got back to me. Her texting process for booking a reservation was fantastic. Text threads are the way to go! I am a very nervous pet parent and am always worried about my miniature schnauzer. I have boarded her at larger boarding facilities and she always came back disoriented and not herself. I could tell that is was way too much of a stressful process for her. I went specifically with Debra because it’s a home environment and she only takes smaller dogs. Her place ended up being a GEM! She was very responsive, friendly, and communicative. She gave me an update after my dog’s first night. She posts tons of pictures on Instagram which was so great. It gave me peace of mind. From the second my dog met her to when we were picking her up, you tell she adored Debra. She is my mini’s friend for life now lol. My little doggy had a blast staying here. It was my first time being away from my dog overnight since she came to my life few years ago. Debbie is nothing but amazing when it comes to dog sitting and taking care of our fur babies! This is my first experience leaving Dover at a daycare and at the moment he met Debra I can see he was thrilled by the way he ran up to her. I appreciated the photos she sent all day and when I picked him up he was still wanting to go back and give her kisses. I know he had a great day and was cared for and loved, which is what I want in a day care. Would definitely use her again.
Bruno was the happiest dog during his stay. He had the best time of his live. We got many pictures showing his activities, gourmet food and friendly other dogs were there.
