Eilish
Lovely people in a lovely place. Alvin is a delightful cat, playful and peaceful. You can pick him up a little, even but he mostly likes to be asleep or springing around from fence to fence and terrorising the critters.

Reading has a lot to offer from ruined monasteries to groovy coffee hangouts. There's lots near to the house to entertain you. If inspiration fails you then go walk along the canal toward Kennet and cuddle a swan.

The house is really central, charming and comfortable. Be prepared to go hunting for a while if you want to find a parking space or pay through the nose, but there's parking to be had if you can brave the one-way system. Maybe best to bring a bike.

Suzanne
We had an extremely lovely stay at Suzanne and Ian's house. From the very beginning, they were friendly and organized, communicating with us regularly. Marco is the best kind of dog you'd want to house sit for. He was calm, easy to walk and generally great company. We thought he'd be hard to walk, but he was not fazed by cars, other people, other dogs, the kangaroos we saw...or the pigeon teasing him along the path refusing to fly away. He got into the car where we had his hammock set up no trouble; in fact he was just outstanding in every respect. Kit, a little shy at first, really fired up by the third night...especially at 5am....but was happily smooching us by the end of the stay. The house is lovely, the area they live in is fantastic. Overall, if you are given the opportunity to house sit for Suzanne, Ian, Marco and Kit, jump at the chance. You won't be disappointed.

Janna
Jelly and Janna are absolutely amazing! Jelly is a big ball of love and was such a good boy while I watched over him. He was gentle, does great on walks/hikes, and always followed me around. He's got a golden personality!

Janna and her husband Mike were great to work with. They kept in contact during my stay to ensure I was comfortable and made me feel very welcomed. Their home is a dream. It has everything you'd want to enjoy yourself. It's in a really safe neighborhood and is walking distance to a lot of hiking trails and a lake.

Highly recommend this sit and hope to visit Jelly again soon!

Lawrence
We had the pleasure of looking after Lawrence's cat Angus on three separate occasions, and it was truly an amazing experience. Lawrence provided us with a guide that made it very clear & easy to understand Angus’ needs and routines.

In addition, Lawrence welcomed us with drinks and treats (including an easter egg!) which was such a thoughtful gesture and greatly appreciated. We were grateful for Lawrence's quick responses throughout and general hospitality and kindness. Lawrence’s home is beautiful and in a stunning area which we loved exploring throughout our time there.

Angus was an absolute delight to be around. He is one of the friendliest most loving cats you will ever meet with a great personality. He is such good company and loves a cuddle. We miss him already!

Overall, we had a wonderful experience taking care of Angus and Lawrence’s home. Thank you Lawrence! 🙏🏻 😊

Brigitte
Jack and I had a lovely time housesitting for Brigitte. Brigitte was a fantatsic host, making sure that we were comfortable and had everything needed for the weekend. She left super clear instructions as well so we were confident in caring for Lilly and Thunder.

Speaking of... they were both good as gold and so adorable! Lilly was so well behaved and very sweet - she didn't want constant attention but loved some good pats and enjoyed hanging out with us in the lounge while we worked/relaxed. Thunder is such a cuddly cat, we got lots of cuddles!

The house itself was really cosy and comfortable, and it was great to get out of London and into the countryside, very pretty walks.

Looking forward to coming back in a few weeks!

Marina
We had a wonderful week looking after Bosun and the house. Marina and David provided a very detailed document including all instructions for the house and Bosun. The document was a very useful reference and helped us to complete the house sit smoothly, without any problems. Bosun is very easy to look after, Marina made us completely aware that he wasn't good around other dogs. That being said, we still took Bosun for a few walks across the nearby fields and just made a point of avoiding other dogs. Bosun is also quite content to have a run around the large garden and play with his balls, which can be done in place of walk. The house is very comfortable and spacious and we enjoyed exploring the local area, visiting Blenheim Palace, Oxford and many of the nearby picturesque Cotswold villages. We would higly recommend Marina and David as hosts, great communication and made us feel comfortable about contacting them if we had any problems.
