Laurie and Pat are some of the most wonderful people I have met. So much so, and due to our connection, I hope to be friends with them long after this sit. They are gracious, hospitable, and respectful of my privacy and life as a person and house sitter. Their kitty crew were easy to care for and liked their pets, treats, and food. The house was professionally cleaned before I arrived, and I got to try good food from their pantry. The area is extra safe and beautiful on the golf course setting; I took daily walks on their street by the water fountain and around the golf courses (their are benches to enjoy). Walmart, Publix, and Aldi are all nearby. There is also lots of fun things to do such as Legoland (I didn't go so can't make a comment). I loved Bok Tower, a nature reserve with a strong spiritual quality in my opinion. It was a symbiotic experience that I am grateful for!
Our stay at Magali and Alex's place was fabulous! Poja is quite the little character and we so enjoyed his company. He's extremely personable and very easy to care for. The house is in a fabulous location - 5 min walk to the train station and less than 10 minutes to great stores and cafes. Most days we headed out the door for lovely walks on the common and surrounding areas. We would definitely sit for Poja again.
Thank you for your wonderful hospitality which made us feel we were visiting old friends instead of house sitting. Lula, the sweetest Staffie, is full of love and we could not get enough of her. She was so easy to take care of that we took her everywhere we went! We hope to see all three of you in the future.
I meant to leave feedback here back in December. Scout and Colleen were the best!!! It took Scout a couple hours to come out of the closet, and a few more hours before she let me pet her. By the next day she was on my lap, and the day after that she was under the covers at bedtime. It was an absolute joy to take care of her. There were many easy walks from Colleen's place, including to the ocean - although I more often took to the hills to get an aerobic rate going. Also, every single store I needed was within walking distance and my car remained parked for days at a time. And Colleen could not have been more helpful! Five stars!!!!!
Marina was very informative and left us notes re everything which was great. Peter was very helpful upon arrival too. Pusscat “Magic” is a gentle, easy going boy. A lovely location, just a few minutes walk from the cliff so all ‘n all a very enjoyable Sit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lucy and Andrew's beautiful home and looking after Marmite and Lundy was an absolute pleasure. Lucy and Andrew were so friendly and welcoming when we arrived and provided all the information we needed for the sit. Their home and grounds are wonderful, being situated by the river was fantastic and we spent many hours birdwatching as the tide came and went. There was also easy access from the house onto the Tarka Trail and we were able to take long enjoyable picturesque walks with the dogs, it's such a lovely area with plenty to see and do. Their home had everything we needed for our stay, a lovely large kitchen and dining area where we could just chill out, and the bedroom provided for us to stay in was immaculately clean with a very comfortable bed and lovely linens, we couldn't have asked for more. Marmite and Lundy were lovely, easy to care for and very affectionate, rewarding us with lots of cuddles, they were great company. The chickens were no trouble at all, very friendly and provided us with delicious eggs. This was a superb pet and housesit and we thoroughly recommend it to anyone, indeed, we would love to come back again ourselves.

Our dog Billy absolutely loves going to Bev’s for day care, as he gets to spend the day doing his two favourite things - walking and snoozing! Since going to Bev’s, Billy has become much more confident and playful, and his days at day care have helped him to socialise and make lots of doggy friends! Bev is so kind to all the dogs, and her background as a veterinary nurse gives us complete peace of mind. The dogs go out on exciting and varied walks, and can then relax in her comfortable home. We couldn’t ask for anyone better to care for Billy, and would recommend Bev’s services to everyone!
We are so grateful to Beverley and Flora for making Stan’s first stay with them a comfortable and well cared for one. The daily updates, photos and videos were a great comfort while we were away. My spaniel has a wonderful time with Bev, Flora and the daycare dogs. Bev is very caring and clearly puts time & effort into making sure the dogs are well integrated and happy. She takes them on lovely walks, which my active dog loves. Bev also provides videos and photos to show the happy time they are having in the beautiful countryside of South Somerset. I am very pleased with this special and unique service that ensures my dog is exercised, engaged and has an enriched experience. The dogs are well looked after and safe. He comes home after a good day with his friends, tail wagging and happy!!
Bev has visited our cat for the last 10 months on a regular basis and is absolutely excellent. She cares for our cat impeccably well and keeps us updated with WhatsApp photos/videos on every visit. Bev also ensures our home is secure and locked after each visit. Thankfully our pet has not been unwell whilst we have been away, but I am confident that Bev would address any illness issues of our cat swiftly and keep us informed. Thank you for all you do!
Our dog Bertie has a lovely time at daycare with Happy Pets and Paws. Bev makes sure all of the dogs get on well, they have different walks every day and lots of one on one interaction too as they are never in a big group. We also get lots of updates and videos on their walks. Would highly recommend for any daycare or walking services.

After many years of excellent, caring attention we would highly recommend Bev. We have cats - at times many cats! - and they really do enjoy staying at home rather than going away for their holiday. They were getting stressed being taken away to holiday homes and then again on the return trip. Bev allows them to remain in their own familiar home in stress free surroundings. We have had cats with a wide range of ages and requirements, including some old timers like us requiring medications, but Bev provides all the care they need. As she is a qualified veterinary nurse, this is an obvious bonus because we know that she will spot if something is not right and will be on hand to sort it out. Bev also keeps us updated while we are away and you can hear the love and attention she provides. We have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone who wants a professional, caring and friendly ‘mum’ to keep your pampered ones happy while you are away.
Honey has a fabulous time with Bev and Flora (and the rest of the gang) Bev provides a caring service with excellent communication and is flexible with our working hours. We have used HPP for boarding as well and it is reassuring knowing Honey has so much fun while we are away. We especially like that Bev only accepts well mannered and sociable dogs. Would highly recommend and we intend to continue sending Honey to HPP for many years to come!
Highly qualified, very professional dog Walker and carer. Unhappy that we hadn’t used all of the same commands as she uses, for dog training. Has a very small garden. Own dog and our dog just didn’t click? No idea why. So despite having paid lots of money for a holiday we had to then cancel. When we tried to book again we were rejected. Lots of time wasted as we wanted someone for emergencies and dog free occasions like Weddings . Paid for test visits, and accepted. Then when we needed help we had to start searching all over again. I’m disabled and have limited mobility so this was a big problem.
My dog has been going to Happy Pets & Paws for daycare for about 7 years now, and still absolutely loves it. Bev provides a very high quality service and always puts the dogs and their welfare first, all whilst being extremely professional and totally reliable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her services.
Jan is amazing. I travel from South Devon to leave my dogs with Jan she is so good. I have known her almost 20 years and she has looked after all the dogs I have had in that time - including elderly rescues. I wouldn't go any where else- she is amazing with all dogs and trustworthy - so worth the extra drive to know I will collect a happy, well cared for dog who loves it so much there they don't always want to come home.
We have used Jan at Langport for more than 10 years as we hated putting our Basset Hounds in kennels. She has a several acre field right next to the house where they are exercised frequently. In addition she takes them out for a proper walk each day.All the dogs of every breed sleep in her house and they all seem to love it. She is also very knowledgeable about dogs, horses and other pets. I think she has also just been awarded 5 stars by Defra. When one of our Bassets was ill she actually slept downstairs with her: an amazingly dedicated and kind lady.
Jan is excellent with our dogs. They are always happy there and sadly I feel at times they dont want to come home!
My dog goes here and he always comes home tired. And Jan is a nutter, she will walk the dogs come rain or shine

Barking Mad Taunton found us the perfect host for our two dogs while we had a lovely holiday knowing our dogs were being well cared for. After the distress they suffered after their last time in kennels this is the perfect solution. Will certainly use them again.
My rabbit, Eric, has been enjoying his holidays at Small Paws Lodge for the past five years. The set up is excellent and I know that he is being very well cared for when I am away. I travel 50 minutes each way to drop him off, but I wouldn't take him anywhere else. Thank you Catherine and family!
I've used Small Paws Lodge a few times already and really should have put on a review earlier. They are great ! I have no hesitation in placing my rabbit with them. It is a small setup so the pets receive personal care. I've already booked again for 2 weeks in March.
Absolutely love Small Paws, we have four rabbits and they always receive excellent care when we’re away. They’re more than accommodating of any requests you have, and go out of their way to work around your schedule for drop off/pick ups. Plus we get regular photo updates so we know how happy our buns are. Couldn’t recommend them enough!
