They don’t respond promptly only after several text messages, emails and phone call, did they respond with an answer which sounded like I was bugging them to use their service. They are rude and make you feel guilty for wanting to use them. Also they bill once a year maybe? This is definitely a second or third business!
Young man was very knowledgeable and helpful.
Tonda offers an exceptional service that truly goes above and beyond. Her genuine love for dogs is evident and she goes out of her way to give much more than what is expected. This business provides a level of care and attention that is unmatched, ensuring that every dog feels safe, loved, and happy. I highly recommend this business for their outstanding dedication and the special connections they create with our furry family members.
I wholeheartedly recommend The Professional Dog Mom! Our four month old puppy was terrified of EVERYTHING and Tonda helped us build skills to really work with and meet our dog at her level. It has been a long process, but what we have learned from Tonda has been invaluable to her healthy development toward just being a happy pup. She still has fears, but she has improved exponentially in the last year that we've been with Tonda. And we have improved as empathic pet parents. Our pup is always so excited when she gets to slgo spend time with Tonda. If you are looking for help with your doggo - Tonda is the best there is!
My 3 month old husky mix pup and I just had our much needed first session! Looking forward to having a well-behaved big girl with Tonda’s help :)
Dog training with Professional Dog Mom is just a fabulous experience all around. My pup and I both enjoy going to our sessions...the place is welcoming and friendly, and Tonda is a true professional who is clearly passionate about what she is doing, and cares about your dog's journey. Every dog is different I'm sure, but as for my boy Sam, the results have been amazing! He responds well to all her methods so far; and perhaps more importantly I have learned so much about what makes my dog tick and what I can do to train him myself. I highly recommend some one-on-one sessions with Tonda, they are worth every penny!
Tonda held private trainings at her facility for our 4 month Bernese Mountain Puppy and has been helping with some behavior modification with our 2 year Labrador covid puppy. Overall, it has been a great experience with so much valuable information on puppy training and dog behavior. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and really listens to the owners concerns. Would 100% recommend!
Tonda is AMAZING! She has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to positive reinforcement and training. She provides so much information and insight when it comes to proper pet care and obedience. We have taken several classes with her and couldn't be happier with what we see happening in our home as a result. We have learned so much from her in regards to mindful and lifelong puppy techniques. She truly is a dog professional!
Tonda is WONDERFUL! We boarded our four year old German Shepard Dog, Koda, for the first time while going on a weekend trip to Lake Tahoe. Tonda took the time to get to know him, ask us questions, and went the extra mile to help him and help us be better pawrents! We had access to the doggy cam and were able to check on Koda throughout our time away. We took a training class with Tonda which left us speechless regarding the knowledge and care she has for the dogs. Koda wanted to go back to the site with Tonda because he felt comfortable with her (speaks volume about a what a wonderful experience he had with her). Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better boarding and training experience. We are grateful for Tonda at Professional Dog Mom. THANK YOU!
Tonda was amazing with our 14 year old lab! She’s loving, caring, and so very patient. So happy to have found her.
Tonda does an amazing job taking care of Salem. I never have to worry about him when I’m out of town because Tonda will make him feel at home and Fate will keep him company. Tonda is absolutely Salem’s professional mom. Thank you so much!
I have never met someone as dedicated and empathetic to dogs as Tonda is. We have a 13 year old somewhat dog-aggressive terrier mix and we decided to try out her boarding facility after having bad luck with other sitters. I couldn't believe how happy and relaxed our (usually anxious) dog was when we picked her up!! And she had a chance to SAFELY socialize with other dogs in a way that allowed her to be curious but also set her boundaries. Even after so many years with my dog, I feel like I learned so much about her behaviors through Tonda. She's definitely our first choice anytime we need to board our pup!
I took my 8-month old pup here today for a full day of daycare and I’m pretty sure he loved it! The drop off process was easy and quick (after I fumbled through papers looking for my vacc records; I’m sorry and thank you for your patience!!) and everyone who works there was great. I could tell Bernie was in good hands for the day and he has been snoozing since I picked him up. Bringing him to Doggie Days was such a better option than having him stay home all day while I attended a conference. I would definitely bring him here again!
My doggies have enjoyed their 2 daycare days, and are boarding for a few days soon. The staff is very comforting. We had a tour of the place and they are very organized with belongings. Happy customers so far!
I can’t say enough great things about Doggie Days! I think it says it all when my furry kiddo makes it very clear that she loves it at Doggie Days. She always comes home very happy, clean and with her tail wagging! Everyone at Doggie Days provides outstanding care for all the dogs. How they remember who each dog belongs to and are able to keep names and leashes straight is beyond me! But, it makes a big statement about the care and attention they provide to the dogs. Cleanliness is never an issue and I highly recommend and only recommend Doggie Days to anyone who is seeking daycare or boarding for their furry kiddos. Thanks to you ALL for being such a big and important part of making Jude’s life so wonderful! 🐕🦺🖤🩶
Great place! Our new favorite for boarding our 3 dogs. We came back and they all smell amazing not like they do sometimes after staying in a boarding facility.
As a Veterinarian with 41 yrs practice experience.... I am deeply upset with the care my dog received at DoggieDays. I needed to board my 2yr old lab as I was having knee replacement surgery. Not only did she get discharged with a left front and left hind leg lameness (that the staff minimized and attempted to conceal) but despite having a bath there (I was charged for 2).. she came home stinking of industrial fecal stench. (Likely because they are not properly cleaning their astroturf or bedding). When a dog comes up lame during their stated "supervised" play... the owner should be called right away. Pet should be confined to not worsen the injury. 5 days after leaving the kennel my dog is still lame LF (likely an elbow injury).. seeing a specialist orthopedist next week. Additionally... these people refused to return calls... very unprofessional. Over my many years as a DVM... I have needed to board my pets periodically... this is without a doubt the worst experience my pet and I have ever experienced. The last thing I needed recovering from knee surgery... is now... having to manage a very lame dog... Fair warning... the true sign of a professionally run kennel caring for your pets... is how they deal with issues when they arise. These folks unfortunately don't seem to care... and just hope the public "won't notice" a lameness... Unfortunately...as a lameness Veterinarian working with horses... I did. And I am sure... my situation is not unique. Check your pet carefully... and take a whiff too. Terrible !
Just picked my two boys up after a 10 day stay. They are happy, healthy and exhausted from playing. I did not have experience boarding my dogs in the past. Doggie Days was recommended by a friend and I'm so happy to find a place that loves and cares for my dogs so I don't have to worry. Every staff member I have encountered is professional and seems to really like their job. To me, that says a lot about the business and the owners. I have another trip planned in September and hopefully my boys can enjoy a few more days of Doggie Days summer camp at that time. Thanks so much Tim and Staff.
Doggie days couldn’t be better. We mostly used them for day care but did occasionally board them. They immediately recognized our dogs and called them by name even after months of not going. We have now moved to a new state and realized there is no place like doggie days. My boys will miss this place.
I recently started bringing my ~5 year old rescue with separation anxiety to Doggie Days - and he LOVES it! Doggie Days came highly recommended from a coworker - and they were right - this place is great! My Maxxie is so excited to "commute to work" 1-2 times/week. He comes home with just enough energy for us to play and have a walk, but the destructiveness of separation anxiety has seriously mellowed out since we started going to Doggie Days. His confidence around other dogs has increased and he is more playful with other dogs at the dog park and when visiting friends w/dogs. I absolutely recommend Doggie Days to anyone who is hesitant. **Update** I am now bringing my second dog, Penny, to Doggie Days and she is LOVING it! She has been going off and on for the last two years, and her ears perk up as soon as she figures out where we're going in the mornings! She comes home wagging her tail every time!
We love Doggie Days! They are hands down the best in town. Tim, Kristy, and all the staff are friendly, amazing, and truly love all the pups! Our dogs always have a great time and come home happy. Always a great experience! Thanks Doggie Days!
Doggie Daycare is great!! Staff get to know your fur baby, provide large yards for play & exercise and covered areas with comfortable cots & blankets for naps. Much larger than the old facilities with all new play equipment & climate control kennels for overnight boarding. I have used both day and boarding overnight services and they were awesome. One can view the yard from drone photos (no touring, it would upset the animals to have strangers coming through). Love ❤️ the friendly staff. I won't hesitate to bring my girl for care.
BooBoo's Buddies is the best~ I started bringing my girl, LoLa, there in October for daycare, and I was really nervous at first. LoLa is older and blind, so initially, I worried about leaving her. But now, when I drop her off, Lo doesn't even acknowledge that I'm leaving! She runs right up to the gals and is so excited to "see" them! Everyone is so welcoming, and you know they genuinely care about all the pups.
Had surgery at hospital and took our little jack russell, Antron, to play at boo boo's. He had a ball. The staff was so wonderful. They obviously love their furry friends. We will definitely come back when we visit Carson City next time. We will tell all our family and friends.
My dogs love going to Booboo's Buddies. The place is very nice and clean. I can see my dogs on the cameras. The employees very nice, friendly and helpful. Will bring my dogs there again this Xmas. Thank you for taking a good care of my furrkids. Bless u!
I can't praise Boo Boo's daycare anymore! They are fantastic! We were on a quick trip from Oregon to Nevada, and realized that are dog accommodations when plans we're going to fall through. That's when boo-boos daycare stepped in offered to keep their doors open until we arrived well after there closing time. My dog is not only looks happy on their webcams but they returned to us exhausted! My Great Dane even refused to jump back in the car. Their prices forcare are Beyond reasonable, we pay just about three times this in Oregon. We've noticed that without charging us they trimmed one of our puppies nails. It was just about 4 months past due and babies daycare I can't thank you enough. We will definitely use you again when was is it. I also shared your information with my mom who just built to house in Carson just about a stone's throw away from your office. With much gratitude, and a good appreciated rest from our Mongols I thank you.
My sheepadoodle and I drove from TX, almost 30 hours. He was in need of some play time. The staff was WONDERFUL! Every time I checked the cameras, he was so happy and content. Thank you for his great and much needed break from the truck!
The Girls are awesome. They take great care of my Dog . Cinder loves going for Day care.
They took care of my dog Odin for a couple days. Great service. Love the camera option they have. Super friendly!!!
These people really care about dogs, they also appeared to care about the owners. Extremely professional outfit my dog had a wonderful overnight slumber party. I couldn't recommended this place any higher. The customer service was excellent and very reasonable rates. 10 out if 10 in my book.
There are some outright lies posted on Yelp and here in the reviews about this place. Ex-employees with a grudge because they were not good enough to work there are seeding nothing but completely false info. I've used BooBoo's for over a year exclusively multiple times a week for my dog. I have seen all the facility including back-of-the-house and play areas, I watch the live camera feed, and I have met every employee. I wouldn't trust anyone else to take the level of professional care that they do. They work with dogs individually if they need additional help socializing, they recently rehomed a beautiful dog whose owner abandoned her there. They did additional training with her and cared for her all at their own cost. They weren't going to just take the dog to the shelter. I've known more than one shelter in the N. NV area what will simply surrender the dog to a shelter instead of truly wanting to care for the dog. They are some of the most loving and professional people I've met in my pet-owning life. My dog will continue to go here regularly because they're the only ones I would trust to take care of something that is more important to me than any person. Unless you have the actual facts, which Taylor Burke did not bother to gather, or unless you actually do business with them, you need to keep your half-witted comments to yourself. All you pet owners who can't seem to understand your responsibility for keeping your pet well outside of your home to include knowing your breed's weaknesses and keeping your dog properly vaccinated and trained, you don't deserve your dog. You're simply part of the fundamental problem in the world... lack of personal responsibility and honesty.
The staff has always had great customer services and they love my pitty. My dog always comes home happy and is happy to go. I have a 80 lb AmStaff and these can be difficult dogs, but the staff loves my dog and hes happy to go see his friends and get his exercise!
Pet Sitters Plus takes great care of my animals when I am away. They leave a detailed list of time of arrival and departure as well as what they did while at the house.
Great Service. They are very friendly and thorough. We felt very better leaving our cats at home, rather than having to bring them to a kennel. Pet Sitters even left notes regarding their daily visits to care for them. Highly recommended.
You can tell they love taking care of your pet. The facility is very clean, they are very organized. My dog is very relaxed there. This is the only place I will leave my dog when I go on vacation.
Debbie is the best. Our dog loves her and her staff. I'm never worried about my dog getting the best possible care when I'm out of town.
Always takes great care of my pets, 2 of them are on meds. Appreciate the care Pet Sitters Plus gives them!! Love Pet Sitters Plus
Hands down the best place to board you better within the Carson/Reno/Tahoe area. Staff is beyond amazing!!!
Great place for your dogs to go for their vacation.
Best facilities and top notch personel.
Love Deb at Pet Sitters Plus. ❤
Need your pets looked after this is the place to go
Wonderful place to leave your pet in the Truckee area! Everyone at the Truckee-Tahoe Pet Lodge is so caring, loving and friendly towards the doggies! My dog always comes home happy and exhausted from playing and having a wonderful time! They also have social media and post pictures and videos of the great pet play time!!
Well staffed, clean and flexible hours. First time for my puppers being boarded. Very positive experience, would definitely board her here again.
We called ahead to try and get day accommodations for our two small dogs. No one answered so we left a message inquiring about their services and costs. Amber called us back and left a message, but failed to specify that we NEEDED to fill out an online form as that was the ONLY way to get accommodations. She only mentioned that filling out a form online would help “streamline everything”, not that it was a requirement. We drove 3.5 hours and showed up only to be told it was a requirement and turned us away. She was very unprofessional and refused to talk to us when we explained that she never told us it was a requirement. She took a very defensive posture and began to shoo us away instead of engaging in a conversation about the issue. Very disappointed in her communication skills as a front desk/employee. She only knew how to say “bye!” While we attempted to communicate where the ball was dropped. We just wanted an apology, which was never given…. We travel to truckee several times a year for snow sports and hiking and will not be contacting them for our pet lodging needs. I still have the recorded voicemail where she clearly does not state the mandatory online process for acceptance.
It was the first time we boarded our little chihuahua Wendy at Truckee-Tahoe Pet Lodge and it won't be our last! The staff was wonderful and Wendy was well taken care of. Wendy can be a handful but she got the attention she needed and when we picked her up she was relaxed and happy! We have boarded her at several places in the past and the experience was not nearly as good. Definitely two paws up from Wendy!!
We had to leave town last minute for a funeral and this boarding facility welcomed us with open arms. Their customer service is very friendly and accommodating. Our dog boarded there for about a week. Seemed all well and good til we picked up our pup. 3 concerning things happened during pick-up, 1. Our dog appears to have lost weight during the stay (looks like she lost maybe 5lbs, she is a ~55lb dog) 2. We called to check in on her half way through the stay and were given some reassuring comments about how she was doing. We asked to buy one of the bully sticks from the lobby and give it to her, adding it to our tab - however when we checked out there was no record of this. 3. We left her with a toy, bed, and blanket for her stay - They returned the toy and found the bed after a second look. They could not find the blanket. They called us back after we left and told us she destroyed the blanket during her stay. It seems odd to me that this was not in the notes at the time that we checked out. What additionally is strange is that destroying a blanket is very out of character for our dog - she is only interested in toys that have a squeaker. The blanket was a $100 Pendleton all wool blanket which adds a bit to the suspicion as it would be difficult to destroy and they have no pictures of the destroyed blanket. Might use them again for day care but with regards to boarding we’ll be going back to Rover.
They do a wonderful job of taking care of your pet. We feel confident knowing that our dog will be treated with love and care.
Wonderful Team at this place! Professional and very friendly It was an extraordinary day care for Figaro.our Jack Russel❤️🐶 Definitely another day care or boarding here if we are in this area. Do not hesitate to put your love one here 🙏❤️
I’ve read many good reviews and personally visited the lodge and decided this is a good place to board Koda.. I was gone for a month and wanted to find the best place to board him, on Facebook constantly looking for his pics and emailing staff asking how he is doing. They all said good things and staffs were wonderful when I met them. However, I picked up Koda today, he looked like he lost a huge chunk of weight (6-9 lbs) within a month, I can see his ribs walking and he feels so boney. I was heart broken and when we got home, he was glued to me and would not let me out of his sights. I was charged about $2.4 k for a month and for a good package with 3 playtimes. I really don’t understand why he is so skinny and malnourished…. When I asked the staff why he got so skinny, she just told me that because he has a lot of playtime… I don’t think so.. that makes me uncomfortable. Koda is my baby, it hurts me so much to see him so malnourished, and he would always eat anything and non stop. This is not our first boarding. He has never came home like this. I hope this place would give me a better answer and improve the system. UPDATED 03/28/2023 Cassidy (from the pet lodge) has reached out a day after I posted the review and was willing to pay for Koda’s vet fee and check if he is unwell. Koda’s exam came back perfect other than being underweight (lost 8 lbs in total after the stay) After a lengthy discussion with Cassidy, she was concerned and changed the pet lodge policy for every pet that stays longer than 7 days needs to get a weight check to prevent the same thing from happening again, and afterward I requested some compensation for Koda’s stay and we agreed on refunding $400 out of $2.4K. I’m glad to have talked to Cassidy and she was proactive to make changes to better observation on these long term pet’s nutrition level. I’ve changed my review from one star to four star!
This place was great when I went with my last dog, but now I can’t even get pricing. It’s not on the website, the phone went to voicemail, and my e-mail was responded with my account is not up to date for this dog (the other one died) so I can’t get pricing until I fill out some form and back and forth. Too hard, simple question.
This place is pretty pricey, but I feel so comfortable leaving my pet here. It's worth the money to know she is being cared for. She has stayed here twice and was remembered from the first visit. Staff is very friendly and the facility is clean. Much happier having her close to home rather than having to take her to Reno. Easy pick up and drop off.
I have a very active puppy and Adventure Pet handles her with such professionalism. They separate her from other dogs when she needs a break but is too stubborn to take a break herself! And I’m still told by many workers they think she is such a good sweet puppy. She is happily tired the rest of the day after pick up. So grateful for this place
This is the BEST place for your pets!! I'm not sure who loves Adventure Pet more, me, or our lab, Bodie!! We had an emergency situation arise a few weeks ago, and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Bodie loves to spend the day playing with his doggy pals and pushes through the door upon arrival. What more could we ask for! He's kenneled there as well and is always well taken care of. The exit bath is the best! Thank you Adventure Pet for giving us a safe, clean, and fun place for Bodie to stay. He'll be back soon.
Our dog loves this spot! She runs in and clearly has a blast all day. Love that they get to be outside to play, even if she sometimes comes home a little dirty, totally worth it - the dirtier the more fun they had! Staff is great too.
Will not be using this place anymore considering how many people I have recommended to use this place for boarding. TURNS out they are more of a daycare facility and if your dog has not been there for more than 6 months you have to restart the half day process ALL Over again. DOES NOT SAY THIS ANYWHERE on their website. Great we have 2 weeks to do 2 half days from Carson City NV. It's been maybe 9 months since we were last there and everyone loved my dog. So really it is about the money than anything else. Here we will just throw in more hoops for you to board your dog here. I will be referring other boarding and daycare facilities for now on and telling everyone that talks about adventure pet about this experience. Front staff absolutely no help.
Adventure Pet has been a perfect fit for our not-so easy pup! There’s no where else I trust dropping off our 92 lb. fur baby for day care and boarding. From the moment we walked in, we loved that they do evaluations on dogs to make sure they are a good fit and not a safety issue to any other dogs or people. Our dog can be a bit particular with who he likes and is slow to warm up to people, but Adventure Pet has done a great job getting to know him and is always patient with him. I highly recommend this place for day care or boarding your dog! We wouldn’t go anywhere else in Reno after finding this gem!
There is friendly staff, but every time I take my dog to day camp, he comes home covered in mud and sand. So it ends up being more work having to wash him while I cook dinner and put the baby to bed. I asked the staff if they could rinse his feet upon pick-up, but they were not accommodating. They have grooming, but I shouldn't have to pay extra to groom a dog who comes to daycare clean and gets dirty at the facility. I want to reserve time for my dog to play, not spend hours in a kennel drying and waiting to get picked up. I can only take our dog to this daycare on dry weather mornings when it isn't too hot or cold out.
Adventure Pet is incredible! My dogs get so excited to go, they are at the door at least 5 minutes before I can even hear the van come to get them. They are so professional and careful with our beloved dogs. They always go out of their way to ensure safety and fun is had by all dogs. Sure they come back dirty - but that's how I know they had a great time. I cannot recommend this business enough for your dogs- just make sure you have dogs that come back! Troy and Stephanie are incredible people who also give back to the community constantly. They are raising their daughter the very same way and she is amazing!
I can’t say much for their facility BUTTT, Troy, the owner, was very accommodating when I called. I was in a bind and needed a dog day care for the very next day. He walked me through the application process and times I could bring my pup in to get analyzed and then taken in to be cared for. They even graciously extended my arrival time (I had to get my dog her parvo shot updated) when I did not think I would make it. However I didn’t even make it to the other time because the vet took to long. Overall, I was very impressed by the customer service and would happily try to take my dog there in the future!!
Very professional. Grooming department staff is friendly, timely, and talented. My dog's cut looks great! It only took about 2 hours. Yay!
Adventure pet is amazing. I take my dogs Cocoa and Charlee (who is blind and deaf) to their daycare and my dogs literally wait by my truck to go. The staff is amazing and I know my dogs are being loved on and are safe while they are there. They also do an amazing job with boarding when I'm out of town. I get sick from time to time as I have had two heart transplants and adventure pet never hesitates to step up and help me with my dogs when I need them. I highly recommend having them watch your fur babies . You will not be disappointed
This is the face my dog makes when we pull into the parking lot at Camp Bow Wow. I love the fact that when we leave town we can still keep an eye on Zeus through the cameras on their app. Everyone there is a pleasure to deal with and I feel at ease leaving my boy there.
My pup had his interview at CBW and passed with flying Colors.. it was a surprise that we could leave him there for a few hours.. which we did! And I could track him through the yard cams and he was having great fun making new friends! The care and love he got from the pup lovers there, was amazing! The facility is setup so well.. and happy employees, taking great care of the pups! Definitely going to be back soon! Don’t remember names of all the girls handling the show there, but definitely Ray and Hayley!
Camp Bow Wow is a great place for dogs to socialize and camp (board). I really love the screening process before they accepted my dog. And exam, which is a screening process is free - that right there is a great business model, because it brings me a peace of mind that my dog is happily and safely socializing with other dogs.
We have been coming here for a few months now and our dogs Shamous and Yeardley love it! The staff is so nice and they really care about the animals. I love getting pictures of the enrichment sessions and being able to watch them on the cameras! Definitely the best doggy day care in Reno!
The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. I know my pup is well taken care of and gets so excited as we walk up to Camp Bow Wow. Scheduling is super easy on the app and I love that there are cameras so we can see how much fun he's having playing with ll the other dogs. Couldn't be happier!!
Well we took our dogs here today and unfortunately we will not be back. It was their first time so we watched the cameras to see how they were doing. My dogs were there from 9:45 - 10:30. As we watched the cameras we noticed not once was their human interaction with our pups. The girls in the yard just walked circles in their pj's. My smaller dog which is a frenchy approached her multiple times and nothing. No acknowledgement at all. We noticed another small dog trying to mount her multiple times and no one paid attention. We noticed our baby going to the window multiple times and she seemed to be acting weird. So we decided to go get them. Even they brought our frenchy out she was overheated gasping for air and it sounded like she was having an asthma attack. The second we walked out the front door she puked. We immediately gave her water which she drank immediately like she hasn't had any water. We got her in the car immediately with the air blowing on her and eventually she was ok. Or other pup also had foam all around her mouth and was thirsty as well. They originally wanted us to leave or pups for 3 hours. I honestly feel like if we had she would've been dead or at the vet. Just an hr there was bad enough. I do not recommend.
I LOVE Camp Bow Wow! The animals are treated so well and you can tell they are loved. The indoor and outdoor play areas are a great feature. Being open weekends is just the icing on the cake.
The staff is friendly and helpful. They love my dogs like they were their own. The facility is clean, and the rates are reasonable. I recommend Camp Bow Wow for dog boarding and daycare.
Brought our sweet but very timid dog, Coco, to camp bow wow so that he could socialize with other dogs and get the play he needs while we do our thing and he LOVED it! I’m constantly nervous about him so the cameras to watch him are always super nice! When we picked him up he was tired and seemed very happy. I’m not sure her name, but the lady who checked us in when we dropped him off was super sweet!
great experiences with cap bow wow so far. friendly staff, clean facility and accomidating at short notice. Cameras to watch your pup and lots of friends to hang with all day and night. would definitely recommend if you are in search for a new day care or boarding
Luna and I LOVE the Pet Playhouse!! We’d had an AWFUL experience at another local daycare/boarding facility and then that owner followed up with even worse customer care. But Pet Playhouse is EVERYTHING we were looking for!! Reasonable rates, caring staff who are the same from visit to visit-which gives us both comfort, friendly, warm and consistent communication. This is the place to go if your pet, like mine, is your bestie and deserves the best when you can’t be together!!
My pup literally jumps for joy when she figures out that she's on her way to daycare at Pet Play House. The staff are kind and professional. They often greet my pup by name when we drop in and sometimes send a report card home at the end of the day. I love finding out which friends my dog played with and what enrichment activities she enjoyed. I only wish I got a report card every time! Our experience with boarding has been positive, too. I'm really grateful that I found this place for my dog to socialize and play.
We love sending our boy to doggy daycare and boarding here. They treat him like one of their own and we love the activity sheets that we get everyday. They always have fun events planned for the dogs and Beau always comes home happy and tired!
Our fur babies, Gracie and Gibson love going to the Pet Playhouse for play time and boarding. They get plenty of love and attention and enjoy playing with their fur friends. (They are generally "worn out" when they come home). Always a sign that they had a good time!
He’s been here a few times for day visits and always has fun - even to the point that we’ve dropped him off soley for him to play because he gets excited when we head in. Last night was his first overnight (he has a big anxiety issue whenever he’s not in direct sight of a human for some reason). This anxiety has been an issue as we couldn’t find someone local we trusted to overnight him without trying to lock him in a kennel - which he doesn’t do. We picked him up this morning with his tail wagging and excited to be playing - tells us he had fun and was excited to play again in the morning. 100% recommend this place to care for your pup(s).
If u are boarding your dogs or even leaving them for day care please be aware of this spot. We left both of our dogs here for boarding from 6/12/2024-6/15/2024 on pick up day my dog had noticeable scratch on her nose that wasn’t there when we dropped her off!! They simply said “ we don’t know how she got it?” And then both of my dogs came back with a strong coughing/gagging..have taken them to the vet is diagnosed with kennel cough!! Mind you both dogs are up to date on their vaccines!!! Called pet play house and the only thing they could tell me is “oh well we didn’t see anything weird.” Like what’s that supposed to mean?? OBVIOUSLY there was a dog(s) there that were sick OR they did not disinfect the room properly!!!! Now because of their negligence my poor dogs are sick and I’m making an extra unexpected expense.
This business is wonderful. The staff is friendly and caring towards the animals in their care. They are easy to work with and the website is easy. I'm so pleased that our Bella is happy to go and tired when she returns. I'm impressed with the little report cards my pet comes home with. It's cute. I also am impressed with the services they offer. Thank you all for care you give our girl while in your care.
My fur baby absolutely loves going to “school”. That’s really all I need to know. Every time we exit the freeway onto 4th street she knows exactly where we’re going, and she can’t get out of the car fast enough when we park. Also, I love love love all the cute parties they do around holidays. They cost extra but I’ve always been pleased with what we get out of it. I can tell the girls who work there like the dogs and they seem to know them personally. Another big positive is they have the dogs wear Velcro collars for safety. They are very picky about vaccines, which I appreciate. We love Pet Play House!
July 2020: First review about this place and I may have updates: It is our Beagle's second day here. Our dog has some anxiety/fear toward strangers (he is fine with dogs) and he's going through regular behavior training with Bark Busters (another great company). Before we moved to Reno, NV, we had paid a visit to Pet Play House and explained the situation to them. We travel a lot and need a safe/friendly place where the dog eventually feels comfortable just like where he used to go before we moved to Reno. The entire place seems well maintained including their overnight boarding areas, pet play areas, and common areas. The lobby is inviting, and the staff seems friendly. On my dog's first day there, he was obviously nervous, everything is new to him including the house, surroundings, people, and the daycare. He did bark a bit but it looks like the staff took it slow and eased him into the whole strenuous experience. We took a break next day and took him back there again and he jumped out of the car eager to go in and make friends again. The second time we took him there was better - he greeted the friendly girl who he met last time and it seems to be going okay. To most people, this review will be overly informative, but to those with dogs that are fearful/anxious, let me tell you know incredibly important it is to have such an establishment around. It is a sure shot way to continue to socialize them and tire them out. I continue to look forward to making our pet a part of your amazing play house. My wife and I are forever grateful to you and your staff already :) UPDATED JULY, 2024: This place is still going strong.
Everyone was very kind upon our arrival. My dog seemed very happy when I picked him up and this is the first time he has eaten all his food while being boarded, which is an indicator that he was happy at his temporary home. Furthermore, Pet Play House was very accommodating when the snow storm made us a day late picking up our dog. We will definitely use Pet Play House again for our next boarding session.
If you are looking for trustworthy reliable help with your animals Tony and Tina are top notch. I have used them for about two years now and I can't say enough good things about the services they provide. They care for a very rambunctious German Shepherd and an old pitbul for my family. Tina is fantastic about scheduling and following up with any questions. Tony is awesome with our animals and alway does something a little extra to help around the house. I highly recommend Angel Pet Sitting very pleased with the service and will continue to use them for years to come.
I am new to Reno and so I did not know of anyone who could check up on my cat while I was away. My cat, Lucy, is somewhere between 16 and 18 years old. I do not like to leave her for more than a day. I contacted Angel Pet Sitting through their website. I heard back the next day. We arranged for an initial meet and greet. Tina was on time as was very thorough and professional. We reviewed when I would be gone and what Lucy required. Tina checked on Lucy while I was gone and made sure she had food and water. She even ensured the cat box did not become toxic. When I returned, Lucy was mad at me because I interrupted her nap. Otherwise, everything was great. Next time I need to leave Lucy, I will not hesitate to contact Tina and Angel Pet Sitting.
When we moved to Reno March 2014 we were uncertain what we would do with our dogs while on vacation, in the past my mom would come stay with them or we would take them to a doggy hotel. One dogs does fine at the dog hotel the other one not so much, she is shy and doesn't do well when she is out of her element. I was searching on yelp and came across Angel Pet Sitting. My husband and I decided to give them a try. Tina was very quick to respond, the following weekend she came to our house to meet us, our dogs and get any information that would help them take the best possible care of our dogs. Over the past year Tina and Tony have cared for our dogs a half dozen times, I'm so glad we found them. My husband knows how much I miss our pups when we are gone, he asked Tina to send me a few pictures throughout our vacation just to make me feel better and of course she did. They do everything in their power to make sure the animals and the pet parents are happy. They provide a wonderful service, I would highly recommend Angel Pet Sitting. Wynston, Maggie and Ozzy give them three paws up!!
Tina took great care of my dog! She truly cares about her clients. We got updates every few days about how our dog was doing which made us happy to know she was doing well while on our vacation. I think my dog missed Tina and her husband when we came back home. We will definitely use Angel Pet Sitting again. I know our dog would love to spend time with them!
Tina did a wonderful job watching our two dogs while we were away for 12 days. Our house looked exactly the same as it did when we left after we got back, and both of our dogs were as happy as they were when we left them. One of our dogs decided to wake up at 4:30 am for half the time we were gone and Tina was up right away and took great care of him (sorry again for that Tina!. Definitely much happier with Tina than they have ever been staying at doggy daycare when we are on vacation. I highly recommend and completely trust Angel Pet Sitting. On top of that, they have very reasonable rates. A+!
We found Tina through a recommendation from another pet sitter and I'm delighted we did. She and Tony have been pet sitting for our dog and two cats for almost a year now. It's very evident that she loves animals and when we return from a trip we always find our pets relaxed and happy. I know they like her because we have a very timid cat who hides when other people are in our house - but she doesn't hide from Tina, which is a very good recommendation. When we get home, the litter box is clean and everything is in order. Our dog is elderly and is on medication morning and evening. One of our cats also has to take medication and is on a special diet. Neither are happy to be pilled and Tina is very good at giving them medication without stressing them or using force. She and Tony have also helped out when, due to illness or our our schedules, we can't give our dog his daily walk. They are friendly, accommodating, and do care about animals. I highly recommend Angel Pet Sitting.
I’ve used Angel Pet Sitting for the past 2 years while I lived in Reno, and I am so grateful to Tina and Tony for being able to check in and take care of my two kitties whenever I go on work travel or vacations. Tina is absolutely wonderful at answering or promptly returning phone calls to set up pet sitting dates or to update me on my kitties. I’m glad they do home visits so I didn’t have to board my kitties or take them out of their environment. Definitely recommend this service if you’re looking for quality at home pet care.
We have used Tina and Tony since we arrived in Reno two years ago and they are the best pet sitters. They are wonderful with our pets (two cats and a dog). We recently returned from two weeks out of the country and the pets were happy and not stressed at all and our house was safe and well cared for. We would highly recommend Tina and Tony to anyone wanting quality , reliable, friendly, and professional pet sitting.
Tina and Tony are extremely professional, kind, and conscientious pet sitters. Our rescue pittie is very sweet but does not do well at kennels. Tina and Tony have stayed with our pup about 5 times in the last 6 months - we have never had such peace of mind being away. They are affectionate and engaging with our pup - it's obvious that she enjoys their company by the way she reacts to them. I highly recommend Angel Pet Sitting!
Was so grateful to have Tony and Tina pet sit for me. I got email updates, and were very helpful when I was worried about one of my cats disappearing, ( she was just hiding lol). Very thankful, and would use them again!! Highly recommended
