Ashley was a dream! She was very responsive and communicative. She took great care of my cats and home and left it very neat and tidy for our return. I would definitely recommend her. Her pup is also very sweet.
Due to a sudden family illness, I completed this house sit without my wife. The friends and neighbours of this small village were all very friendly. I enjoyed the local area and even umpired a few cricket games at the local club. The vegie garden was impressive and I enjoyed the produce and the eggs daily. An unusually dry summer meant there was more watering needed than usual. Scarla is a loving and energetic dog. The commitments of the dog and livestock would have made this more suitable for a couple. The house was a classic old miners cottage and very comfortable with all facilities. Martin and Dy were very welcoming and generous.
I had such a wonderful time taking care of Luna, she is such a loving gentle soul, very well behaved and a pleasure to be with. Sara was extremely helpful and kind and the house is a lovely place to be.
I had a wonderful time in beautiful North Wales with Alfie. Liz and Dell's home is contemporary and comfortable. They are in a small hamlet with friendly neighbours and plenty of lovely places to walk. Alfie is affectionate but also independent. He likes to snuggle on the couch, but gives personal space as well. I recommend this sit very highly. I enjoyed meeting with Liz and Dell, who are very kind. I hope we meet again (perhaps at the Gold Coast?).
Such a lovely sit. Oscar was fantastic and great company. Beautiful house and area too. I was made to feel very welcome and would sit again in a heartbeat
The location and terrace were nice, but the apartment itself had a strong cat pee smell, likely from the carpet. The place was cluttered and the bed sheets also smelled bad. Claire presents a very different impression in real life, so I recommend meeting her or at least having a FaceTime call before accepting a sit with her. From the pictures on the walls, it's apparent she's a frequent drinker. I had an accident in her home, which I immediately communicated to her and paid an insurance bill for. She initially wanted me to pay a ridiculous amount, but fortunately, we resolved it through her insurance. She's definitely a nice person but doesn't take good care of herself, leading to her being reactive and negative at times. The day before I was meant to leave, she texted me, saying she was coming home and asked if I could leave early. If not, she mentioned possibly staying with a friend. I replied that I would appreciate it if she stayed with her friend, as it was too last-minute for me to change my plans. While I was out, she informed me she couldn't stay with any friends but was okay sleeping on the floor in the spare room. Out of kindness, I agreed. When I came back, she was watching TV, eating a baguette sandwich and Snickers, and barely said hello, making me feel uncomfortable. I tidied up the kitchen and my things, then went out for dinner alone. While I was out, I was offered to arrive at my next sit a day early. Grateful, I took a taxi and left. Claire was kind just before I left, escorting me to the door and chatting briefly, but I was relieved to go. This was a rare but unpleasant experience with THS. Consider my experience and decide for yourself whether you are okay dealing with this kind of energy.
I knew I would enjoy this sit as soon as I met Sarah and Kevin, as they were so welcoming and thoughtful ... even leaving me a basket of breakfast goodies along with really helpful details about the home and, of course, Cocoa. Despite being 8 months old Cocoa was every inch the playful kitten and SUCH a beautiful cat. (One of my first questions was about her name, but it makes sense when you realise she's a *chocolate* silver tabby.) She would join me in bed for my morning cuppa and proceed to 'snog' me as if I was a great big kitten or possibly her mummy cat. So cute! The home is beautiful too, spotlessly clean and in a fabulous area of Bath. Highly recommended - outstanding, in fact - and I would definitely love to sit here again.
