Although we never met in person, Norah and Robert were extremely easy-going and welcoming hosts (I was generously greeted with a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine upon arriving!) and their garden-level one-bedroom apartment is comfortable and well furnished. It is also (in my humble opinion) in one of the best neighborhoods in Brooklyn, within walking distance of at least 5 subway lines (and Trader Joe’s is less than two blocks away!) Pumpkin’s care was easy – she gets ½ a can of wet food for breakfast and dinner and otherwise free feeds dry food throughout the day, and there is an automatic, self-scooping litter box near the back door that I didn’t have to empty during my entire 10-day stay. Pumpkin herself is a character: she is not shy in the least and mostly fends for herself, wandering outside (which she probably does more of in the warmer months) or lounging on the front windowsill, but she will definitely let you know vocally when she needs attention (for instance, when she wants to explore the basement/laundry area.) Occasionally, she will grace you with her presence on the bed or sofa next to you :) She also doesn’t tolerate being “phubbed” (and who can blame her?) and may swipe at your phone if you are seated in the living room scrolling through it – a reaction I found most endearing. (One small caution: she seemed to enjoy chewing on my spectacles -- when not on my face -- so I advise keeping them out of her immediate reach.) A great sit for a single person or a couple on a vacation or staycation!
This was a great sit. We loved caring for Blue. He is easy going, if a bit shy. He enjoyed playing with his toys and head scratches. The home is lovely and in a great location to explore Boulder. Communication was good. Thank you!
My husband and I enjoyed our house sitting for Jojo and Nick very much. They are a lovely couple and made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable. Their home is very beautiful and contains everything anyone could possibly require for a stay in this beautiful part of the world. The two cats, Clive and Claud, were adorable and very loving. We would recommend this house sit very highly.
Cherie and Brad were welcoming, gracious and generous . Their Cats, Daisy and Jasmine were sweet and affectionate. Be prepared to fall in love with the kitties! Cherie and Brad were also great about communicating via email, nearly daily, so that we could touch base on any cat or home- related questions. They always responded very quickly to any question that I had. The home is beautiful and provides everything that you will need for a comfortable and safe stay. The neighborhood has many beautiful walking opportunities. Several of Cherie and Brad's neighbors treated me with much kindness and generosity. It is truly a lovely neighborhood. The whole area of Kelowna was a pleasant surprise with lake, mountains and orchards. I am very appreciative to have had this opportunity and should you choose to pet sit for Cherie and Brad , you will be very happy that you also have this opportunity. Do not hesitate to apply. It was a great experience and I miss the little kitties already. Nona Seaver ( Pet sitter from March 15-April 7. 2018)
Kitty was very hospitable and has a lovely home as pictured featuring a beautiful extensive garden. Allie and Cookie are very cute and sweet and I enjoyed their company very much! Expect house cleaners and outdoor maintenance workers during your stay if you are staying here long term. All in all, five stars! I am happy to sit again for Kitty at anytime in the future. Thanks Kitty! 🤗💕🏡🐾
It was a pleasure to spent time in the city with Yoda. The location is ideal for little excursions to downtown, Japantown, Chinatown and all the parks. Communication with the owner was spot on. We felt right at home in their apartment. Yoda is super easy and super smart. He loved to be with us and he is small enough to fit in any situation. He also listens really well and loves to play with other dogs. He is highly entertaining and gets you laughing throughout the day. A perfect little vacation away from home. Thank you Hina, Paul, Emile and Yoda for trusting us with your home.
