I had a troubling experience with Victoria that I feel is necessary to share because I believe it’s important for others in this community to be aware of what happened.   Victoria informed me she was leaving day 6 into an 18 day stay with a little more than 12 hours notice while I was 600 miles away with no backup plan for our dog Jackson.    The first few days with Jackson went well. She communicated when I reached out along with pictures of them laying together on the couch and getting along very well.  On day 6 she texted me to say Jackson had growled at her while physically trying to get him up from laying on her.  She said she was frightened and asked if I had anyone else that could watch him.   I immediately called her to try to understand what happened and explained that he was most likely startled rather than wanting to attack her. As I was asking questions about the incident, as I felt I had a right to do, she became extremely defensive and yelled at me on the phone. Admittedly my voice was heightened due to panic but I did not yell. I was simply trying to understand the extreme change in her demeanor from previously texting me she doesn’t easily get flustered, stressed or live in fear to being so frightened she wanted to leave. Knowing my questions upset her I apologized however after ending our call she immediately texted and said she was leaving at 10am.   Despite repeatedly telling her that my son, who lives nearby, was out of town, and that I had no other options, she showed no consideration for my situation. Her decision to simply leave our dog stranded was incredibly distressing. I had to cancel my evening plans to find alternate arrangements for the remainder of our trip, which, happens to be my other son’s wedding.   While there are other details that aren’t directly related to her pet-sitting duties, I believe it’s important to highlight the lack of professionalism and consideration she showed. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision through my experience.

Janis was absolutely terrific with our pets and house. Our three dogs truly adored her. I looked forward to the daily picture and little note of how everything was going. The house was cleaner and in better order when we returned then we had left it. My husband and I were so impressed that we asked if it would be possible to arrange another vacation next year. I highly recommend Janis to care for your pets and home. Thank you so much from The Burns.

Susan
Sue made us feel totally at home, right from the get go. She was very welcoming, cooking us a lovely meal the night before her trip, and communicated the needs of her animals perfectly.
Barley and Bracken are smashing, we absolutely adored them both. Barley is a lovely old lady. She is calm and tolerant, and copes well with Bracken's 'puppiness' in a very adult fashion. Both dogs are loving and affectionate, and are good on and off the lead. Their recall is good, especially if you're holding a biscuit! Very typical labrador. There are places to walk within 5 minutes of the house. The girls have a short walk in the morning, as Barley's joints won't allow a longer one. Bracken has a walk on her own in the afternoon, and loves to stretch her legs and have a good run. They are both well socialised and have lots of doggy friends in the area. In the evening, Bracken loves to snuggle up on the fleecy blanket on the sofa with you and Barley loves having her bed all to herself when this happens. Oxford city centre is a short bus ride away, with plenty to see, do, eat and drink.
Both dogs are absolutely super and we would happily take them home with us at the drop of a hat. We're very much looking forward to caring for them again at the end of the month.

Todd was a very gracious host and was very clear with instructions and communications. The cats were friendly, one very friendly and always hung around for attention, the other two a little reserved but would come out from time to time. We really enjoyed our stay.

This sit was absolutely fantastic!! We had the best time with Toffee & Vanilla, thanks to Ivana & Panos! Communication with them was easy and thorough, to make sure nothing was missed, as we didn't have time to physically meet in person, only over video. They are super sweet and generous, we clicked instantly. They sent us detailed instructions and videos, which made caring for the bunnies such a breeze. They were so very welcoming and made us feel right at home in their beautiful home.

Speaking of their home, it is very modern, spacious and sparkling clean. We loved having the separate office so one of us could work in there with the bunnies napping, while the other was out in the dining room taking in the gorgeous water views. We cooked a lot while there, and they had absolutely everything we could need. Their bed was super comfortable and we just really felt so comfortable there. The location was great, just about a 40 minute walk to the center of town, but we took various routes to see more of the area and loved stopping along the way. There were plenty of grocery stores and restaurants nearby, so if we didn't want to cook, but wanted to stay close to home, we could. We rented bikes just on the street with an app, which made getting around such a breeze, but there's also a bike shop close that you could plan to rent from for a longer duration, with great prices. Public transportation was super easy and near the house, too.

Saving the best for last, Toffee & Vanilla were the sweetest, smartest and most entertaining little loves and we formed a tight bond with them quickly. We loved letting them out of their cages 2-3 times per day, so they could chase, climb and try to find their treats in the living room. We felt honored when they chose our laps to lay on or when they snuggled up close to us. We hadn't taken care of bunnies since we had our own, as kids, so it was even more of a delight to look after these two.

We can't say enough about how awesome this sit was. We hated when the time came to leave Toffee & Vanilla, only hoping we can return one day soon. We would give this sit 10 stars if we could!!!
