Franceska and John were absolutely delightful and I was sorry not to have more time to chat and get to know them. They were wonderfully welcoming and I immediately felt at home in their beautiful and elegantly decorated house. The location for me was absolutely perfect, open countryside and so peaceful. I loved walking up through the woodland at the back to the farm shop and cafe just beyond. Chooey, Socks and Mitsos were absolute sweeties, I spent quite a lot of time just chilling in the kitchen with them (everyone should have reclining chairs in the kitchen! 👌) and had lots of lovely purry lap cuddles 😍. I would have no hesitation in recommending sitting at Franceska and John's place, I hope to be able to return myself, to gaze at the incredible starry skies, cuddle the cats and explore the area a little more.
We had a lovely long weekend in Shrewsbury. Kassi and Cooper are gorgeous Staffies, Cooper very affectionate from the get go and Kassi more independent but easy enough to win over. As pups they can be boisterous with each other and you need to be strong on the lead with Cooper in particular but anyone used to energetic pups will be absolutely fine. Marie and Kaj were in touch throughout the visit and were lovely and generous.
Amy’s pretty house in San Mateo is very clean and comfortable. It’s in a quiet neighborhood and transit is about a 10-15 minute walk away. SF and San Jose are both reachable by Caltrain. The lovely backyard has a small creek running behind it. Mr Magoo is very sweet and social. He was a real character. Lola is shy and takes a bit to warm up. But they both like to play. I recommend this sit close to Silicon Valley.
