He has an expressive personality, loves to talk and will let you know when he would like some attention. Dylan is an absolute gentleman. I had a great experience at Carla’s home. The neighborhood is really nice and safe. The location is accessible by public transport, making it easy to go anywhere in San Francisco. If you're interested in sightseeing, the Golden Gate Park, Castro neighborhood, Presidio, and Painted Ladies are all close by. If you're working remotely, the house has high-speed wifi, an amazing view, and all the amenities you need. The dogs are lovely. Bella takes her time to get to know you, but just a couple of hours and that’s all. She is cute, quiet, and gentle. Blaze enjoys getting all your attention. He is playful and extroverted. Both are easy-going and behaved very well. I'm sure that you'll fall in love with them, just like I did. Sir (guinea pig) is calm all the time. Wasabi (gecko) is hidden most of the time. I miss them so much 😊. I felt like I was at home. Thanks to Carla and her family for trusting me. It was definitely a memorable experience for me, and I'm sure that I would be a pet sitter at Carla’s home again.😊
Carla and Jack are a delightful couple. We met after the sit, due to pressure and Wifi constraints (poor Carla needs a holiday)! Thereafter, Carla kindly drove us to our accommodation. Lilly is the cuddly pussy and Oreo is happier spending time outdoors. They have a cat flap, but funnily, Oreo refuses to return through it, preferring the window or door to be opened. Sweet! Both are very vocal and certainly tell you what and when they would like your attention. A rather intriguing breed, on which Carla happily explained the history. Bus service is good and stops within a few meters either way, from the house. House is on a main road. A tidy and clean house.

Great place to have to drop off your dog for the day. You have to drop off by 11 am or you cannot which it sometimes cumbersome. Half day is $28 for under 6 hours. My dog is not the happiest here due to the room is full of dogs and she is not comfortable like that. My dog just walks around with the staff. They have an awesome set up of a Pup can that you can open the app and see your pup. What a blessing;) to see your dog even if you know she’s a little stressed but safe. But sometimes I need to do things like doctors appointments and need a place for her to be safe. The staff are great and seem to love the doggies.
WOW! I have nothing but positive things to say about this company. Staff, so nice friendly and informative. Pricing is very affordable. They provide the perfect solution for my puppy when I need to take my special needs kids on trips. AND most important my dog loves it there!
A friend of mine suggested I bring my rescue here to help socialize him. He was scared or wary of everyone. It took time and while there is no official training they took special care to help meet his needs. The staff are all wonderful with the animals. Going in to see my boy love on Mandy and the other staff members makes me so happy that he can socialize now with both animals and humans. The staff are so great and so caring your dog is in the best hands possible. Tammy runs a wonderful business and I feel that their attention to me is as wonderful as their caring for the animals. I honestly could not say enough about everyone. I should also mention that the environment is impeccably clean. They have an indoor and outdoor area but are weather conscious so when temps are to high they shut that part down and bring them all into the air conditioning. They do not cage the dogs who are boarding but let them sleep where they want to in their sleep room and staff is there with them all night. Even the grooming is good and they pay special attention to the dog and owners needs. I forgot to mention that they plan fun seasonal events for the dogs and you can peak in on them during the day online with their pup cams. Now my boy has a girlfriend and best play pal. Never thought I would ever see that happen but because of village pup my boy is a happy normal pup.
Best doggy daycare/boarding facility ever!! This is my first time away from my puppy for a long period of time and I just received a check in text with pictures about how my dog is doing! Great in every aspect from accommodations to the people who all love dogs. Our golden retriever is very social and absolutely enjoys her stays here. I can’t say enough about the entire staff as they have been so helpful, provide fantastic communication, and genuinely take an interest in your pup to get to know all about them and what they enjoy.
The owner Lori is exceptionally caring with all of her fur babies! When we went on our 7 day vacation we received humorous and heartfelt video and photo updates every single day. In each photo our dachshund was smiling so big all of his teeth were showing! She is organized, professional and wonderful to work with. We are so relieved that there is a local boarder/day care program that only takes in dogs 20lbs and under! Thank you Lori for being a trustworthy person to leave our family members with! I would recommend to anyone!

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST DOG SITTING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! Seriously... I can't give one complaint. Laurie would message me pictures throughout the day- not a bunch but enough. My dog seemed happy and clean. When I picked him up he was not overheating or thirsty. He didn't rush to me like he needed to he saved. Laurie was responsive to messages, she seems to love dogs and happy with taking them! Her house was clean and smelled great. I mean it's like everything I looked for was done exceptionally well. I will for sure be taking Indy back there!
Lori was absolutely the best person we could have dreamed of to leave our 16 year old miniature Labradoodle Dee Dee with!!! We were in Palm Desert for 12 days and knew we were going to be playing many rounds of golf along with a day trip to Disneyland. We really didn't want to leave Dee Dee in the house we were staying at all alone for 8+ hours a day so my husband did some research ahead of time and found Bonzai's Bark. After reviewing Lori's website, everything LOOKED great, so we arranged for a meet and greet the day before we actually wanted to start leaving Dee Dee with Lori. LOVED her, her backyard and indoors for the pups and her "dog sense" ... she has a total understanding of what they really did need while they were away from their owners ... we felt very comfortable leaving Dee Dee the next day while we played golf. Lori texted us several times, throughout the day, to say Dee Dee was doing fine and even sent pictures! The rest of the trip we continued to use Lori and even had Dee Dee spend the night on the day we drove to Disneyland and back. She was at Lori's a total of 6 times over 12 days ... She did great! Lori is awesome ... we wish we could find someone like her back home here in Federal Way, WA .... thanks again, Lori, for being our dog's best friend!

Lori is amazing!! I had serious anxiety about leaving my 8 month old puppy, but she took all that away. Tbone spent a week with her while we vacationed. Thanks to Lori's loving care we all had a great time, especially Tbone. He came home one happy healthy pup! She taught him how to interact with other dogs, an invaluable lesson. LOVE LOVE LOVE Fetch!!!!!! LOVE Kathleen!!!! we travel between San Diego and Palm Springs a couple times a month. We have a terrier mix and a (freak) labordoodle. Very demanding dog to care for. If you own one then you know what I mean. Put it this way......If the color of the dog food is off...the dog will loose all its hair from stress! haha maybe not that bad but both my dogs love Kathleen. Our cat caregiver is Kathleen and she is great. She sends pictures of our boys from every visit so we know she is taking good care of them. They’re quite shy so initially she had to look for them. Eventually they got to know her and now sometimes even come out to say hi on their own. Scheduling is quick and easy. Fetch was recommend to me by a neighbor and I couldn’t be happier with the service.

My dog walker, Auntie Jane, she’s a member of the family and I would trust nobody more than Jane. Ethel loves Jane as her own buddy. Lauren is awesome, we are lucky we found her for our two dogs. She has been fantastic with both dogs especially our highly anxious one. She has watched them for the day and boarded them over night. They cant wait to get out of the car when we drop them off.
Lauren watched my dog (Bruno) for several weeks. She kept me updated with pictures and text messages on Bruno’s daily activities and overall wellbeing. Bruno looked fantastic when I picked him up, and I will not hesitate to have Lauren watch him again. She is very knowledgeable and genuinely cares about the animals she takes care of.
I have been using Lauren for about 5 years and she is the BEST!! I just love her enthusiasm and joy that she gives to all her dogs. With two previous dogs they would spend the night and also just go to day care. With Peaches - our current Cavapoo - she can't wait to get out of the car and go into Laurens house. We've boarded her but also use the daycare for a day of golf! Wouldn't go anywhere else!!!!

Lauren is fantastic, she goes the extra mile with your special one. Scruffy has emotion needs and has meds and she knows how to make him feel happy. She lets him snuggle on the bed with her which he loves. She understands his needs and I know he is in loving care. She keeps me posted on how he is doing. Which is great. Lauren has taken care of our two rescued mixes for several years ( plus an extended family member’s pup. ). Sometimes it’s just an overnight or a long weekend, but we’ve used her up to a few weeks at times. We feel so comfortable knowing that she is extremely experienced and she is even helpful with solicited advice when they aren’t there and we have a training issue. She has had to give our pups medication and has no problems contacting vets if needed. Our pups might be a little spoiled by the attention they receive when they are in her care. If you were to ask our pups about their experiences, we think they would both give her two paws up!
Lauren is beyond the best! We rescued our dog, Max, as a puppy after spending over a month in a shelter. Lauren not only has given Max a safe and fun place to stay, but also has given us great advice on training him. We know Max loves Lauren as much as we do….he races to her door as soon as we pull up!
We have 2 dogs, both 8 year old Akita mixes. Lauren has been a part of their lives in one way or another since we adopted them when they were puppies. Lauren is extremely reliable, consistent and always goes above & beyond. She’s easy to communicate with and very attentive. She has tons of safety measures, plans and precautions in place to ensure any animal on her care is safe, well cared for and (most importantly) comfortable and loved. Her home and yard is always clean. She’s helped care for our dogs on many occasions, boarding them in her home or doing drop-ins at our home. Even providing behavioral help. And, we’ve witnessed her board and work with many different types of animals over the years. At some point, one of our dogs developed severe allergies. Lauren was instrumental in helping us work with a vet to diagnose the problem, better understand our dog’s illness and even create a long term treatment plan for him. She’s still attentive to his allergies and sensitivities when she cares for him. It’s not just about pet sitting. She’s extremely gifted and truly has such a passion for animals and their overall well-being. We jokingly call her Dr. Doolittle, but she really is so in tune with animals’ needs. Her knowledge and expertise cannot be matched.
Lauren has been taking care of my eighteen month old Boston Terrier twice a seek, since he was 7 months old and she has been wonderful, helping me with training and giving him plenty of play time and exercise. She is always more than happy for a drop in visit, for cats or dogs, and her boarding service is wonderful, as I never have to worry about his care. As I work fulltime, I don't know what I would do without her help and loving care of my active little dog.
We HIGHLY recommend! Lauren is incredibly knowledgeable, caring, and attentive to all of the animals in her care. The boarding facilities are clean, spacious and comfortable, providing a home-like environment with an incredible grass yard that the pups love! We also appreciate receiving updates and photos which bring smiles and peace of mind knowing all is well. The dog walking and pet drop in services are also top-notch, and Lauren always goes above and beyond to ensure our animals receive the attention they need while we are away. We trust Lauren completely with the care of the rescue animals in our care as well as our personal pets and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a safe environment AND a knowledgeable and loving pet sitter.

Hands down the best doggy daycare in the valley. I love this place. The staff are always so professional and super friendly. You can tell everyone who works there truly enjoys it. They take such great care of all the dogs. I love the structure and giving the dogs a safe place to play and socialize. It’s also fun to be able to check them out on the pupcams. I always have a piece of mind knowing that I have a safe place to bring my dog whether it’s for daycare or boarding. I highly recommend them. They also have great training programs that will teach you to better understand your dogs needs and give you the confidence to be a pack leader.
Village pup has been a savior of a place for our sweet Archie. They show so much love and concern for their animals and are a very efficient and well run organization. Few places in the desert do this so well. Staff has all been very friendly and create a very familial atmosphere. We take our dog here for both grooming and daycare, he absolutely loves it here and so do we.
It makes me very disappointed to even write this review, But we made Village Pup in LA Quinta our main spot for any dog grooming needs until this last visit we will never visit again and heres the major reason why. First off I originally scheduled a full grooming and when I got there they said I was scheduled for a best bath which I didn't do. Me not wanting to reschedule another three weeks ahead I asked if they can still do the full grooming I originally asked for. To me, they seemed bothered that I even asked that and were trying to talk me out of it. My dog grows a lot of hair so I wanted to do a trim and a deshed of his first layer of his coat. The groomer who also has her own Pyrenees seemed very bothered and annoyed that I wanted to do the full grooming because it would interfere with her break. She comes out and is also trying to talk me out of the grooming and just to do the best bath, I stayed persistent and insisted that they do the full grooming my dog needed it. After some time they agreed but were really annoyed. The groomer noticed we had tried to give him a trim ourselves and said she would try to even it out to which I agreed and said that that would be great. A couple hours later I pick him up and was completely utterly shocked, instead of trimming him they completely shaved him and charged me almost $200 for it. I shouldn't of payed for it but I did and I even TIPPED THE GROOMER WHO RUINED MY DOGS BEAUTIFUL COAT. I will never use this establishment again for the way they treated me and my dog. My dog will never have the same coat again because of the groomer who took her bad day/frustrations out on my dog. Ever since ive brought him home from his "grooming" he hasnt been playful he just sleeps and looks sad like something valuable has been taken from him. If you take your dog here be cautious because they might do it to you too and double charge you both the best bath and the full groom. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD 100 PERCENT!!!!!! Here are some before and afters of my dog. Go at your own risk.
Barklee has been going since he was able to have his supervised play time- he asks me to go - barking and getting his leash until I take him. He sits upright and knows the route he starts crying as we turn the corner as he know he is going and just gets soo excited. I only wish my kids would have acted this way. Would of made life easier for a working mom🤪🤪🙃 u won’t regret it! And know some dogs r just not up for daycare and that’s ok too😘
I've been taking my dogs here for years and love it! Dog safety 5 🌟 Friendly environment 5 🌟 Grooming 5 🌟 Training 5 🌟 Honestly, I've not seen any other dog daycare/boarding place that offers as much as the pup. The staff are so kind and love each pup that walks through the doors as their own. They do their best to work as a team to make a fun-filled day for the pack.
2 Very Happy pups. This was our first time here for grooming. The staff treated it just like I was leaving my child for daycare. Very thorough with consents and questionnaires. The staff is so friendly and you can tell they all genuinely love the pups and their job. My babies were nervous it being their first time here but when I picked them up I could tell they were treated well and they left very happy 🤍. I would give more than 5 stars if it were an option. I highly recommend Village Pup!!!
Since they don’t make it public knowledge on the website, they don’t board dogs who aren’t already part of their day care crew. If you’re from out of town or you don’t want to spend extra cash on day care, don’t bother. Doesn’t affect me, but they also turn away any pit/mastiff breeds or mixes regardless of temperament.
I LOVE this place because my fur son does. I know he loves it because I get to check in on him on the cameras throughout the day and can see him having a great time. The staff is super friendly and it's always a pleasure interacting with them. Excellent customer service and a safe, fun environment for my pup to socialize. What more could you want?!
Having people you don't know care for your animal is always a nerve wracking experience. This is not the case with everyone at Village Pup. They take the absolute best care of your dog(s). I recently had him bathed and my gosh, did he come back looking as handsome as ever! I love dropping him off there for a day away (he loves it too! I can't keep him out of the pool!)
I'm so anxious to get our pup in there. These people are just wonderful. They gave our girl a chance without us to interact with other pups and she wasn't happy. She just had too much separation anxiety. I really appreciate the fact that they want to make sure our baby girl is comfortable more than getting money. We will be continuing her socialization and we will take her back. I think this facility is absolutely fantastic! It was so welcoming and incredibly CLEAN. Great facility that I am sure I will be part of for years to come.
Barkingham Pet Hotel is the best place for grooming my Yorkie Terrier Charlie Terrones loves it here, Jacqueline Fields is a top notch groomer Charlie and I highly recommend. All the employees are cheerful and gentle with my little dog he fills safe and treated with care when here. I drive 15 miles and worth every mile. Thank you, for so kind to my pet.
I boarded my German Shepherd for 2 nights. I checked on him several times via phone during his stay. They said he was fine just being a little picky about eating. When I picked him up he was so sick I had to take him to the vet that day. Vomiting continuously, diarrhea, very low energy. I will NEVER take or recommend Barkingham "luxury" pet hotel nor use their services again. It took him over 2 weeks to recover.
Our Min Pin/Chihuahua mix loves Barkingham Pet Hotel! And we love it too. Our Autumn gets the best care and lots of time to run around and play time with other dogs her size. I also am very impressed with the security of facility. I don't have to worry about Autumn getting loose and running away.
I was so nervous about leaving my little boy for boarding. Being that he’s never stayed overnight anywhere because he suffers form separation anxiety. But I have to say he had a wonderful time, he played and got lots of love and cuddles. Sabrina sent me updates with cute photos of how he was doing. I so appreciate that she did that, it made me feel so much better about leaving him in their care. I would 100% recommend them for boarding. Thank you everyone for taking such excellent care of Hershey and a special thanks to Sabrina who has always been so kind and sending updates.

We used to love this place, but had a bad experience where a groomer actually clipped the end of our Yorkie’s ear off then tried to arrange the fur so it wouldn’t show. She said she “nicked” it. This was 2 years ago and we’ve never been back. Had another bad experience where their groomer was late for work and they rescheduled us, then when we showed up at the new time they tried to say we were late. Sorry. Bad consumer service and care.
I can’t say enough about Barkingham. I’ve been using them for about 10 years. And always have had a great experience. My dogs can’t wait to get to go inside. And they are always greeted with kisses. And all the incredible people that work there.
My two dogs loved this place. It was so beautiful and clean. The background of the mountains behind them. It’s like dogs playing in paradise! My dogs were running in and When I pick them up they were very happy. The staff was so nice there, i highly recommended Barkingham pet hotel in Palm Springs! When we go back we will definitely bring them every day there. A plus!
I don’t live in the area but I will make the drive to drop off my precious Nyla cause she can’t just go anywhere and she has to feel comfortable with the place. I love that her room had a camera so I can watch her.
We boarded our Maltese here in the past and no issues. He is 12 years old now and they informed us that they will not board him any longer as he is a "senior dog"'. This is an amazingly myopic and mean spirited policy that does not take into account the varying aging process for different breeds, not to mention large versus small breeds and the health of the dog itself. Given what they charge, this is kind of obnoxious and arrogant.
Madiisyn is fantastic for the pet and the owners. She a rare professional that cares, on time and completely trustworthy. When in Coachella my doggie demands that we use Sit, Stay, Relax! I 100% agree!!!
Madyson is terrific! My 10 year old labradoodle is so relaxed when she comes to stay. Lucca is very calm due to her personality and attention to his well being. I never worry about Madyson...my last trip away the power went off in my house...she figured out how to reset everything, and keep his environment normal. She provides me the ability to enjoy my vacations as well knowing my buddy is so happy. She is a 6 out of 5!
I would highly recommend sit, stay, relax! I have used her services multiple times and have a few more trips upcoming. Madisyn has taken wonderful care of my dog and kitten, they always seem happy to see her. She is a warm, caring, responsible person. I have referred her to others who have also had great experiences. Communication is excellent with updates and photos always coming. My house is always immaculate when I return. It is hard to leave my animals at home when I travel but I am confident that they are well taken care of. Her service is stellar!
We have used Madisyn a couple of times and both went great. First time she stayed at our place to look after Sutton, second time he stayed at her place with her two dogs cause they all get along great and had a blast. We had a bad dog sitting experience a few years ago and she renewed our faith in dog sitters! We have already booked her for a few more jobs and look forward to continuing. From the moment we met Madisyn I knew we found our dog sitter. We had some horrible experiences with past dog sitters so were skeptical at first but she proved within seconds that she was reliable and loving towards them, just an automatic ease. Mini had her 1st boarding experience in her 13 years. She was treated like the princess she is with her own room, plenty of other small dogs to visit with the windowed roo off the lobby. She was groomed ($60) and a very happy girl when
Biggie loves The Grand Paw. He comes weekly for daycare and most recently was boarded for over 2 weeks. The staff know him by name and always greet him with excitement. He comes home exhausted from playing with his friends and always looks forward to returning. Thank you to all the staff for all you do.
Our Sasha loves it here and I feel comfortable sending her. They make sure every dog’s vaccines are up to date, even if coming in for grooming only. They also do a temperament test with the new dogs to test how they behave with others. We have been so happy with the level of detail and care.
Pandemic Up Date-The Grand Paw is doing a pretty good job as they work through the issues associated with the COVID Pandemic. They now pick up you dog from the car, you do not go inside at all. They bring your pet out to you in the evening, so it is more-or-less touchless. They also have both masks and sanitizer out in the parking area so that you can sanitize if you like. Good job. But I miss the little shop and talking to the folks while waiting for our dog, Bailey to drag out the poor lad that has to tear him away from his play date. This is the doggy daycare and boarding place in the East Coachella Valley. It has nice facilities and reasonably good hours. They are not real flexible on times and policies. Not a deal as far as pricing goes but seem to take reasonable care of the pets. They have a little pet gift shop, mostly dog oriented full of overpriced things you can’t live without. The grooming function is not the best or least expensive. Ask about purchasing multiple use packages. Tuesday and Thursday they have pool time for Fido if your dog is so inclined. Separate small and large dog areas. They charge $25 bucks to qualify your dog’s behavior before you can bring him. Have all your shot information ready.
What a wonderful staff. I feel so comfortable and trust them to babysit my four legged family member. When leaving pets behind when circumstances require a helping hand - This is the place!
Our dog spent 5 days a this facility and he was bitten, wounds open when we picked him up. We were not told, until we contacted the facility, and replied with a typical template to respond to a complaint. Until today not a curtesy response. Disappointed, and furious, above all the rate charged, you will think your pet will be taken care of.
Brian, Ricky, and the rest of the staff are amazing. My wife and I have a 20 year relationship with this business and Brian and Ricky. We can’t say enough good things about the customer service and how they treat our pups. I wish I could give them 10 stars
Great Facility! We went in a week prior to our pup staying there for a tour and a temperament test, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. When we dropped our pup off for her stay she was excited to be there again. She was happy when we picked her up and quickly fell asleep when we got home. The grand paw is reasonably priced and I highly recommend! Thank you Grand paw for taking care of Cocoa!
I was so happy with The Grand Paw and so were my two kittys. They had a comfy room with plenty of time to play and lounge in. Also they posted pictures of my babies for me to see so I could know 5hey were doing well as I missed them. I will definitely board with them again when I need to in the future.
If you have large dogs this is THE place. Our dogs are bigger and they absolutely love it here. There is plenty of space for them to run around. Any staff we’ve ever encountered is always so friendly and seems to truly love being around dogs! It definitely seems like our dogs’ happy place. Our dogs have never been sick after a boarding and they always come home clean and EXHAUSTED! It is worth every penny. We also love just dropping them off for a play day. Swim days are also awesome. They have an in the ground pool and one of our dogs absolutely loves it!
PawfectTime loves animals and treats them with Kindness. They found my Great Dane and brought him home. This is the type of Groomer and Dog Walker we all need.

Gave them my dog with his service vest and when they returned him the claimed they forgot and tried to swap it for a regular vest saying the other didn’t fit him anyways so here’s this one, then when asked to return the service vest they said they’d bring it back sometime that night or possible even the next day…on their time essentially. So them being dog groomers working with all kinds of dogs, so they should know that a service vest is important to the owner. The fact they did not offer to return it initially and tried to trade it with a standard vest is a red flag and the fact that they want to return it on their own time and not when the owner of the vest asked is also a red flag…bottom line if you work with them don’t leave anything on your animal.
