This was a great sit. James and Loree are the kindest people and their home is lovely and well kept. The chickens, ducks and fish were super easy to care for. The cats were also easy since they don't take medication. Olive has a lot of energy, but there is plenty of room for her to run on the property and when she is tired she behaves pretty well. Loree has her pretty well trained and showed me how to work with her. The area and towns are beautiful. It is very rural so a rental car is needed. Many things were closed for the winter, but Loree gave me a list of places worth seeing which I really enjoyed the ones I visited. Just going into the various small towns to look around and take pictures of the mideval buildings was a lot of fun as well as visiting on market days.
We had a wonderful time staying with Amit and Adina! A word of warning: Amit has a lot of energy!! And after a day full of playing he crushed and slept in our arms, like a baby. Adina's a lot more mature, but she's as playful and affectionate. Both Amit and Adina slept with us every night, and the first few night after the stay we couldn't get used to not hugging two warm pups... Pat and Shmuel's house is an experience by itself! Pat's an architect and she designed her space with a lot of attention and care. We enjoyed it very much, and we both found lots of great books to read during out stay. Pat and Shmuel were very hospitable and offered us to stay one night before (to get to know Amit and Adina, and also make us feel at home in their house) and after our stay. We had a couple of accidents caused by two lightning-fast dogs chasing each other, i.e. a broken model of the house Pat designed, and a ripped off leash, but Pat and Shmuel accepted our apologies with a lot of grace, and made sure we're comfortable during our stay in all the ways possible. We really enjoyed meeting all dogs and humans of this house, and are happy to recommend this stay for all the future housesitters! It goes without saying that we'd be happy to apply for stays with Pat and Shmuel again!
Very welcoming and expectations were easy to meet. Ann and Fish are very easy pups and great listeners! Johanna was responsive to anything I sent. Would definitely recommend!
It was a lovely 2 weeks sitting with Georgie when the temperature dropped drastically. Georgie was one really strong in body language, would lead me to her food plate every night before sleep that some biscuits needed to be placed for her. She's absolutely an adorable and sweet kitty. Gill's home was very conveniently located, and with a Morrisons and Lidl for food shopping close-by. Her home decor showed her taste in art and love of film. The easy communication added more pleasure to a happy sit.
Dom and Lyndy were so amazing at making me feel welcome in their home! They were incredibly friendly when showing me around the house and gave really detailed instructions so it was a really easy sit! Their home and garden are so lovely and comfortable and the house is situated in a such a lovely area of London with lots to do! Topaz is the most amazing, friendly and cuddly cat who loves attention and followed me around chatting to me throughout the whole stay! I couldn't have asked for a better sit! 😊
June and Alan are a lovely couple, really friendly and welcoming from the first time we met. We were able to meet up in person prior to the sit giving us time to talk through the care for dear Willow and Phoebe and their immaculate home. Their home is a large, beautifully designed barn conversion in a quiet, private location and has everything you would ever need to be super comfortable. Located just a short drive into Norwich and with quaint Broadland villages on your doorstep, we couldn't have wished for more. Willow and Phoebe are the sweetest and most beautiful cats. Willow is immediately affectionate and easy to care for. Phoebe is a little shy at first but soon comes out for cuddles. We can't recommend this sit highly enough to our THS colleagues, so be quick if you want to beat us the next time June and Alan want sitters. Thanks so much for inviting us, kind regards Steve and Jo
