We couldn’t possibly say enough good things about Nick and Veerle or our first experience on this site.

They arrived the evening before our trip, so we could give them a “lay of the land”: the dogs’ routines, the house, and some basic landmarks of the neighborhood (stores/shops nearby). They were a delight to meet, with interesting professional and personal experiences, and we now consider them personal friends.

Nick and Veerle are great communicators. They sent updates (both photos and videos) about our dogs at least a couple of times each day. We had no doubts that Nick and Veerle took great care of Toby and Bizkit—the dogs seemed so happy that we’re not even sure they missed us! Beyond the dogs, Nick and Veerle took better care of our home than we do—the house was in better shape when they left than it was when they arrived for their seven-day stay.

From the very first time we met Nick and Veerle, we felt very good about leaving Toby, Bizkit, and the house in their capable hands. They are fun, responsible, and dependable, and they really embrace dog- and house-sitting.

If you’re lucky enough to connect with Nick and Veerle, you’ll indeed be fortunate. We recommend them without reservation, and while they came as strangers, they left as friends. We would welcome them back here anytime—so would the dogs—whether they’re still on their dog-sitting adventure or not.

Houston and Scarlett are amusing and I enjoyed looking after their girls. They were cute and cuddly and I enjoyed being there for them.

Our stay was just special. Sugar is a very cuddly, well-educated and kind dog. He has been a great dog walking around Dresden and also in few trips we took together. Graham and Siobhan are really nice, gentle and easy going people. It was an amazing experience and we will miss Sugar! We’d love to do this again!

During my recent 5 week trip to St. Lucia, and while Kris enjoyed her trip to South Africa, I had the unique pleasure of looking after Mask Man, an Arab stallion pretending to be a somewhat grumpy old man.

I was also thrilled to spend time with Kris's six loving rescue dogs. The dogs showered me with affection every day, making each moment full of sunshine.

A big part of this wonderful experience was thanks to Kris's staff, Marcel, Roy, and Luenda. Their kindness and constant support always brought a smile to my face. Their warm hospitality made me feel like part of their family.

This trip will forever hold a special place in my heart. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and enriching experience.

What a peaceful stay in Bristol! Ziggy was an absolute sweetheart and Sam was incredibly hospitable. We stayed for a week and looked after the most gentle cat. He was always patient when getting his injection (which is incredibly easy to administer) and always happy to dig into his tuna! The home is lovely and so quiet you could hardly tell you were in the city. Plenty of quaint shops pubs and restaurants nearby and lovely walks both urban and in the countryside. We would be more than happy to look after Ziggy again!

My daughter and I had a most enjoyable week with Bodhi who was a delight to look after: very easy and well-behaved.

Midhurst is a lovely market town with a good selection of independent shops and there are many pretty villages and towns close by to explore. Beth’s house is perfectly located: only a few minutes’ walk from the centre, yet extremely quiet and peaceful. There are also many pleasant walks, 5 minutes from the house, on the edge of town.

Although I didn’t manage to meet Beth prior to the sit she was readily available to help, via Whatsapp, when required. She went to a lot of trouble to make us feel welcome and at home… and kindly left some lovely local produce, which we very much enjoyed.

A wonderful sit - would highly recommend.

Thank you Beth!

Sarah
This petsit is a hidden gem on the edge of Newtownards, a bustling market town. Sarah and Tim's house, tucked away on approximately 1.5 acres of natural woodland, is an oasis of peace. It is hard to believe they are so close to main thoroughfares. Griff, Sadie and Ozzy are amazing pets. Griff, the oldest is a dear hound/lurcher and although very laid back indoors, is very speedy when running outdoors in their enclosed woodland pen. Sadie is also a big dog but quite timid until she feels comfortable with strangers and Ozzy is a lively, and very lovable eight month old, small, black terrier. They are all thoroughly chilled when indoors and enjoy romping about in their huge, natural playground when outdoors. They love to be close to their human companions. The hens have an extensive enclosure and are self contained. Their eggs are very tasty.

Newtownards is centrally located at the bottom of Stranford Lough, close to the seaside town of Bangor and to the nearby attractive seaside villages along the Ards Pensinsula, whilst within half an hour from Belfast, where you can enjoy major tourist attractions. We would highly recommend this compact, cosy and comfortable home.
