I have had a really great time at Moira and David’s house. They did everything they could to make me feel welcome. David picked me up from the train station and drove me around to show me the surroundings. In the evening they invited me for dinner in a restaurant and it was great to get to know them this way. The communication with Moira during the house sit was perfect. The house has got everything you need with a beautiful ocean view. The pool is absolute an eye catcher and I liked swimming in it. The cats are very independent but do like a little bit of attention. Charlie drops in now and then during the day and you can find him often under the trees where he likes to get a cuddle. Lola spends her days wondering about and I didn’t se her that much. Watering the plants can take some time in summer because of the heat and the amount of plants, but it’s not difficult. The location of the house is great; you are not far from the beach and Lagos. All in all I have had a relaxed house sit and I can recommend it to anyone!
Absolutely lovely family and wonderful four-legged friends. I do not think I have ever grinned so much with happiness ever. Geoff and I enjoyed taking Dorri and Timo on three walks a day. We had so much fun at Virginia Water. Milo the tortoise had walks (quite fast walks) on the lawn and a strawberry challenge, whilst Minnie and Cheeky (yes, she is) enjoyed being spoilt and played with. We would love to see everyone again. Thank you so much for your kindness and the opportunity to care for your beautiful home and companions.
Really enjoyed my stay with Max and Lois, the loveliest of dogs and great company! Sarah and Simon made me feel very welcome with thoughtful gifts, their home was so warm and comfortable in a beautiful location! Highly recommend!
Tracy, Katie, and Patrick are all super friendly people who greeted me warmly and extended amazing hospitality. Simon and Jackson were the easiest dogs to take care of and are both super sweet. It was extremely easy to take care of the guinea pigs and there was next to no effort needed to care for the fish and the turtles. The house is very clean and tidy in an amazing, beautiful, and quiet neighborhood. The Potomac River is less than 5 minutes away from the house which makes for a great place to watch the sunset or go out and paddle on the kayaks. Since the pets are all well behaved, it allows for a good amount of freedom to explore the surrounding areas on day trips - and the family provided lots of suggestions for things to do/see in the area. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to house/pet sit here and would be thrilled to sit again if I'm back in the area. Prospective sitters would be hard pressed to find a better combination of hosts, pets, house, and location.
Zulu and Inca are very special dogs and well behaved and well trsined. Lucinda always available for help, advice and tips which made our stay very relaxing. Zulu loves long walks and Inca not so much! But we generally walked them together and gave Zulu a long solo walk each day to ensure he was a happy hound. Gorgeous walks from the beautifully situated house and garden, lovely helpful neighbours and would highly recommend to other sitters!
Dayanna and Jared were great host. Easy set up and great communicators! Capri takes a little bit of time to warm up to you but she is so sweet. Kona is your friend in an instant you rub his belly! There are great dogs and I would sit for them again! :)
