I arrived quite late on 12th but Paul gave me a comprehensive tour of the house and handover regarding Socks and Pickle (very sweet mother and daughter), Nova (lovely, lively kitten) and the chickens. Imogen and Paul are kind, generous and I felt very welcome in their spacious home. Pinmore is close to the coast and so during my short stay I visited Girvan shoreline plus the mouth of the River Stinchar at Ballantrae. Ailsa Craig, also makes an impressive sight! I am looking forward to hopefully experiencing the dark sky when I sit again in a few days time. I also had use of a desk with a great view. So all in all, highly recommend!
Our stay at Holydean was very relaxing and enjoyable. An incredible estate with room to roam. Complete with private pond which would inspire Monet. Peanut is rambuncious and will be your shadow. She seems very content to sleep in the kitchen at night. Monkey comes and goes. Very social and vocal when he's there. We also looked after Blue the pony. Mucked out and moved him daily from field to stable. Always glad to see us. Well, the carrot anyway. The home is rambling. We counted 20 rooms. Very well kept and organized. The kitchen is always warm with a full size AGA. Our room and bed were vey comftorable with en suite facilities. Spacious with lots of natural light. We were given a warm, friendly welcome and a good tour of the house and grounds before the family set off. The home and property are truly magnificent. We would definetly go back if they need us again.
Three of our favourite dogs this year, Tilly, Sid and Flora were well behaved and relaxed dogs, they loved their walks and were very chilled relaxing in the house with us. The house is gorgeous with a four poster bed! We had a great time, thank you Mark and Gill

A fantastic sit, 5* +++. Kerry and Elle were perfect hosts, leaving us detailed instructions for everything and were always available by text. We met with Kerry before he left and he introduced us to Jax (Mastiff, a sweet and gentle giant), and Lilly, a cocker spaniel. We adored walking both and they were very well-behaved. The home is gorgeous and pristine, and in a beautiful neighborhood. We enjoyed their pool and outdoor spaces and watching the dogs frolic was so fun. Jax loved his toys and playing tug-o-war poolside. No desire to venture out much. We did take 15 min drive to Vero Beach for great shopping. people watching, and dinner but mostly took advantage of their home and neighborhood to relax. We are hoping to return!
Everything about this sit was well organised and uncomplicated; the instructions were comprehensive and clear and everything went smoothly. The apartment was beautiful, the neighbourhood very nice and I made beautiful cycling and hiking trips in and around Aachen. And then of course there was Pepper with whom I had a lot of fun. He was very easy to care for and gave back a lot of affection. I would definitely like to repeat this housesit again!
