Great place to house sit. Super close to the town. Cathy and Jonathan are lovely. I was given a bike to use which was awesome to venture around Cambridge
After having a really bad experience at my prior visit, I was a little worried going into this one. This sit was great and exceeded my expectations. Rebecca was super friendly when we met and gave me clear guidelines and instructions on how to maintain her home, how to interact with the cats, and what to expect. There were two instances where her cat Richard was puking, but Rebecca was super communicative and helpful in what to do and to make sure he was feeling better. Even though she was across the world, she was always there whether it was a brief check in or any additional questions I had. Richard and Lila are two well-behaved, fun cats and I had a great time with them. I'd be happy to help Rebecca again in the future should she need.
If you like fluffy cats, beautiful nature and peace and quiet, you will really like Lulu's home. I had the pleasure of spending two weeks with the pretty cat lady. Lulu is independent and confident, but also loves the presence of a human being. In the morning she always woke me up purring loudly with lots of kisses and thought it was nicest when we had breakfast at the same time. She always wanted us to go to Alison's beautiful and cozy garden together afterwards, but I had to explain to her every day that I was still waiting for the midday/ afternoon sun. In the end, after our first play session (Lulu is very playful), she went out on her own and I often started the day with great walks in or around Crediton (I recommend the Komoot App or similar). The landscape is beautiful, my trips to Okehampton, Exeter, Exmouth and Dawlish Warren were fantastic. The buses run quite regulary (and very reliably) during the week, but it's a little more difficult on Sundays. I mostly enjoyed the afternoon with Lulu in the garden and a few times she proudly brought me small and somewhat larger gifts. So the sitter has to expect that. In the evening, Lulu often came straight to bed with me and liked to lie down at face level at night, purring, licking my arm and giving kisses. Alison kindly picked me up from the station and we had coffee together the day before the sit. Communication always went very well during the sit. Thank you Alison for the great time with your Princess Lulu. She is adorable!
Dave and I were pleased to be asked to look after Teddy and Flossie in Sharon's beautiful home. Sharon is a warm and generous host and we knew as soon as we met her and the dogs that we would enjoy this sit in one of our favourite places. We defy anyone not to fall in love with big and gentle Teddy and fun-loving Flossie. They are an absolute delight to care for and we always enjoyed our twice-daily walks with them around the the Haven which is a bird watcher's paradise. We also took great delight in feeding the garden birds and the resident hedgehog. Sharon's home is immaculate, warm and comfortable and our bedroom was very well appointed with a huge comfortable bed and ensuite. We thoroughly enjoyed this sit and highly recommend it. Thank you for asking us Sharon, we do hope we have the opportunity to return one day.
Verena was a great host! She provided all the information neccesary to take care of the dogs and cats and to have a great week! She even left food for me and let me ride her bike! Two days after she left I realized how much love the animals have each day by Verena and I felt that love back from them. I couldn´t have had a better first TrustedHouseSitter experience. I would allways be greatful to Verena, her animals and their hospitality!
What a delight it was to take care of Kumi, Jojo and Flynn. We went out everyday for a ball throw down at the park had desert evening walks and they couldn't have been more well behaved. Alisa was a great host and she and her son took a quick 5 day trip back to Wyoming for a family visit. I'd do another sit here in a heartbeat.... Kudos!
