I had the privilege of staying with GG’s and Chris’ dog and cat in their home while they were away. Prior to the housesit, Chris and GG maintained good communication by email. From the moment I arrived, I found them to be warm, friendly, and well organized. Though they have moved from the comfortable home in which I stayed, I imagine their new one to be as welcoming. GG is a fantastic cook, so the kitchen was well set up for culinary aficionados. She even left me some special chutney that she had just made and it was delicious. Little Max is an active and friendly dog. He loved to chase the ball and was just as enthusiastic on the 100th throw as on the first. Bindi Cat was a bit shy but seemed to appreciate my presence, especially at mealtimes. I think if I had been there for a longer period, she would have warmed up to me more. This was a very easy housesit and I would highly recommend them.
Taking care of Montana was a pleasure and James was a perfect host. Truly going to miss spending time with her! The location was excellent too.
Jen was a friendly home-owner who had 2 endearingly beautiful little cats, whom I found it very sad to say goodbye to on leaving. I felt I was looking after 2 little toddlers actually and enjoyed the daily chats and cuddles in particular with Luna. I nicknamed her 'chatty'. Jen had the 'right' attitude as a home-owner to a sitter: she was considerate, genuine and courteous - to be honest I felt like I was looking after a friends' house rather than a strangers'. The house was well-equipped, clean and in a good location - not far from the city centre. I would be more than happy to return in the future, if needed.
I enjoyed my time with Rico, PooDoo, Tootsie, and Leela in Dumbarton. They are very playful cats and the four of them all chasing a string at once is pretty epic. Claire introduced me to the cats and showed me what needed to be done to care for them. Her place was clean, cozy, and in a great location. I took some nice walks in the area and it was a quick walk to shops and public transit.
Kirsten and Diego are super friendly people. They explained us everything in the house, went for a dog walk and some lunch before they was leaving. The house is just in the perfect location. Literally everything is in walking distance, like the beach (for endless beachwalks), groceries shops (Aldi/Lidl/Mercadona/...) Pharmacy, Restaurants, Hairdressers and much more. The mountains are 10 minutes drive away and offer stunning walks and views. Kirsten was easy to talk to, even in advanced she send me pictures of the house and the dog and took time to help me with questions and recommendations for our time at her place. Pearl, the husky girl is just the most amazing and easy going dog ever. She can walk off the leash, loves all the other dogs and humans and gets a lot of attention because of her cuteness. You can go for hours of walks with her , take her to the restaurants with you and she like to come in the car as well. There is a dog flap, so she goes in and out herself day and night. We would definitely come back to this house and dogsit and can highly recommend this place. Thanks a lot Kirsten and Diege, and lots of cuddles to Pearl.
Kate and her family were so kind and welcoming. We had such a wonderful time caring for Dougal and the gerbils. Dougal was very well behaved and was such a sweet dog to care for. The house was lovely and very comfortable and there was plenty to explore. The nature walks nearby were wonderful. Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience and would be happy to sit for Kate and her family again.
