Anne is a wonderful host whose company I really enjoyed. Her home is delightful, beautifully decorated and full of character. It has all the amenities you could wish for, and the lounge/kitchen area are spacious and full of light. Poppy and Picchu have very different characters and were both fun and easy to look after. The house is located on a quiet street, and yet it is close to lots of shops. I highly recommend! Thanks again Anne :-)
I had a very comfortable stay at Helen and Mick’s home which is situated right by the sea and very close to the railway station which affords the chance to visit other small towns and areas of interest. The house is spacious, very clean, and had everything I needed for a good stay. Helen & Mick made me very welcome, and we had plenty time to have an informative handover and general chat as they didn’t leave till the next day. Sid and Eddie were the main event, both dogs are cute, very affectionate and love to cuddle. They get on well with each other and have lots of play together. They really enjoy their walks. I walked on them lead until I could see the area was dog free then allowed free rein, but it was challenging at times as the area is very popular with dog walkers. It is amazing how fast these little fellows can run especially when they caught a scent or spied another dog. Recall was a hit or a miss at these times, akin to being adolescents, but there is nothing better than to watch a dog(s) run free enjoying themselves. I would return but for personal preferences in the Spring or Summer. Thank you, Helen and Mick, for the opportunity to look after your boys.
Ginger is a very sweet and friendly litte guy, easy to take care of. Communication with Kelly was excellent, she provided all the details I needed. Upon arrival I was met by Kelly's husband who showed me around the apartment and explained Ginger's routine. The apartment is beautiful and clean, easy to reach by public transport. I recommend this sit to my fellow sitters.
Housesitting for Colin was really a pleasure. He invited me to come a bit early and hang out, showed me around the city, took me for a float down the river, and had some great conversations. His sweet cat Jenny was very nice and cuddly, and his apartment is really ideal in terms of both location and luxury, with a beautiful balcony with retractable awnings that was an excellent place to hang out. It's right in the middle of historic downtown Luzern, and also a great jumping off point for weekend day trips to alpine destinations in the Jungfrau region. I had a most excellent time here, and even when a minor appliance mishap occurred he was very easygoing about it. On top of all that, he is just an interesting person to meet and talk to, as well! Would most definitely housesit for him again. Thanks again Colin!
My mom and I enjoyed sitting for Sophie. Everything was meticulously laid out as to how to care for Sophie (a breeze btw) and the household in a booklet however he was very accessible by text. The fur machine has the cutest purr and was quite content being by my side as I worked. She allowed me to administer her meds without much hassle as she’s used to it. And also got me for a few more treats than planned 😅 The location of his home is central to everything we wanted to do. Tim so kindly retrieved me from the airport and allowed me to stay the night before the sit to which we were able to do a mini tour and get acquainted. When asked, we couldn’t come up with any suggestions and/or feedback. I would sit for Tim and Sophie if the opportunity came up again!
Had a wonderful week in Geoff and Eileen’s lovely bungalow in Rushden. Woody was great company and very low maintenance.... he enjoyed a cuddle in the evening and lying in the sunshine during the day! The communication with Eileen before and during the housesit was excellent, they were such a welcoming interesting couple. Would willing look after Woody and their home again anytime. Jill and Tony
