Jane and Kees were absolutely fantastic sitters. I think our poodle Maurice was quite sad to see them go and I don't believe he missed us at all! Every day, they sent us pics, videos and updates of Maurice at home and during his many daily walks. We returned to a sparkling clean home, with an apple pie in the oven. Jane and Kees are totally wonderful and friendly people and they will be without a doubt our sitters during our next getaway. Thank you so much, Jane and Kees.
Trenton and Mara just stayed at our house for a week taking care of our golden doodle. I cannot say enough good things! They are very communicative, treated our house like it was theirs, and our pup was happy. We have already book them for another week stay next month.
Michelle and Chuck were wonderful dog sitters . They took great care of my two labs , updated me with photos and took them to the dog park . They were reliable and took very good care of my home as well . I look forward to having them dog sit in the future .
Bobbi and I want to thank Elisa and Ivan for the opportunity to take care of their precious cats and home while they went away for about three weeks to Europe to get married. Both Ivan and Elisa are wonderful and easy to get along with. We met them in advance in their home and they both showed us all the important details related to taking care of Charlie and Ozzy and their home. When we had a couple of questions during the sit, Elisa/Ivan were quick to respond to us. Ivan left us a big box of fruits and vegetables in the fridge so when we arrived we had something to eat. That was very kind of him (Elisa was already in Italy and Ivan flew out and joined her the day we arrived). Charlie has longer fur and was quite shy for the 1st few days. She mostly avoided us until she got used to us, but once she was comfortable, she was warm and cuddly and loved the attention and affection we poured out on her. She would sit beside us when we were watching a movie on the big TV screen in the living room. We loved seeing the relationship between her and Ozzy. They played together, spent time together, and were very affectionate with each other. You could see they were very important to each other. Ozzy was much more curious right from the start and took to us almost right away. The cats were so cute together! Charlie and Ozzy have a water fountain that filters the water and keeps it moving and fresh. We filled it every few days. Their food was free range (kibble) so they were very easy to care for as we only ensured that they had food in their two bowls at all times. They normally eat wet cat food but were not interested in eating it when we took care of them. They joined us on the cat-proof deck at times when we were outside. We had everything we needed. The queen size bed was firm, there was a dishwasher, a very functional kitchen with a gas stove (which was great), an outside deck with a table and umbrella where we ate our dinners, and the laundry in the basement (small units but they worked great). The bathroom had a big claw-foot bathtub which was wonderful. You can also shower in the tub. The water temperature can be very hot! The neighbours on both sides were very friendly and we felt safe in their neighbourhood (it is in the good section of east Hamilton). We left ladders on our little trailer parked on the street and they were always safe and secure. We always found it easy to find street parking across the street opposite the house, even though we had our car and a little trailer. There is good access to both the QEW and the 403 highways and there is a No Frills grocery store with good organic food about 1 km way (easily within walking distance). For those interested in visiting east Hamilton, if you love cats, we would recommend Elisa and Ivan as they are great hosts and their home is very comfortable, safe, and inviting. We want to thank both Elisa and Ivan for their trust in us for what turned out to be a very positive house sitting experience for both Bobbi, me, Charlie, and Ozzy.
