Frances greeted me with warmth and hospitality and took the time to drive me around the area despite my late arrival and her very early AM departure the next day. She also showed me maps and filled me in with lots of useful local information. It was a pleasure to get to know her wonderful friends, especially as the area was very quiet in the off season. They even made sure that I was not alone on thanksgiving and invited me to a wonderful feast! The house was clean and comfortable and the animals were constant entertainment. They each had their own distinct personalities-and each one sweet, gentle and attention loving! I miss them already
We loved our week in Woodbridge. The dogs and Grape were lovely, very friendly and affectionate. We rarely saw the other two cats who seemed very self sufficient... The house and garden are just gorgeous! It's a ten minute walk into the town and there's a lovely walk from the house for the dogs to enjoy. Would definitely recommend a sit here!
I had a wonderful time sitting Smokey for Lucy and Rakan. They are amazing people and Smokey is such a sweet cat with the brightest eyes ever and a bunch of really funny and cute quirks. She is easy to look after and just a real joy to be around. The house, garden and surrounding area are absolutely beautiful and Lucy and Rakan are generous and welcoming hosts and really friendly and genuine people. I can highly recommend sitting Smokey and am very happy to be back soon! Thank you so much :)
Our stay at Jackie and Dave's house was a lot of fun! Mainly because we had the pleasure of not 1, not 2, but 3 beautiful canines to play with! What a delight they were, each with their own unique personalities. It most definitely was a xmas not to forget and we made many happy memories there. Mollie, Masie and Henri are all super loving and cuddly, and easy to look after. They are so good natured, well behaved and very deserving of treats and cuddles. There are lots of stunning walks around Knaresborough too, and although it is small (compared to the city we live in) we didn’t get to see everything we’d hoped to, so there is much to go back there for. Quite a charming and relaxed little part of the UK, if you like the peace and quite and gorgeous traditional pubs then this is the place. Locals are very friendly. The house was spacious, clean and very comfortable. In fact luxurious and from the time we arrived there we were made to feel most welcome, with a home cooked meal and a chance to meet family and neighbours. This really helped us to feel immediately at home there and safe in knowing that there were people to call upon if needed. J&D were easily contactable whilst they were away. So far one of my favorite sits. The house is so much my vibe, vintage and super cozy, really amazingly decorated and I just felt a great energy since I first stepped in! Wesley is very easy going and communication is been very simple and clear since the beginning and throughout my brief stay. I didn’t have the pleasure to meet Kiyome but I’m sure she’s cool too!! And the pets….pffffffff, an army of cuteness and very easy to take care of. I loved taking pictures of them and I just wished for a longer stay. I would definitely do it again and I definitely recommend it!
