Overall, it was a good sit, considering a few events and situations that made it unpleasant for both sides. Nevertheless, beautiful location and plenty of walks all around from the house. I've enjoyed the walks with the two labradors. Pets were all lovely. Thank you for the sit.
We arrived the day before Carrie and Tom’s departure and were marvellously welcomed : they offered us a nice dinner, a generous Xmas tasty present and invited us that first night in the loft, on the ground floor, usually occupied by their Airbnb guests. After Carrie and Tom left, my husband and I stayed in their lovely house, on the 2 top floors : each of us had a bedroom and a bathroom. We both enjoyed nice views on the garden, where we could eat outside in the evening : even at the end of december, the temperature was warm in the north of Spain. Communication was fine : Carrie had filled up partly the welcome guide before our arrival but gave many more details about her 3 pets’routine on our arrival. We went on during our stay via Whatsapp for any further question. After a handover, Carrie and her husband drove us to the village, to show us where to do shopping. A supermarket and a petrol station are close, several good restaurants nearby. They took us also to the different walks we could do with their dog in the mountain nearby or downtown on the local beaches. We had been told Reggie could be left without lead and it was perfectly true : although young, he was perfectly educated, always behaved nicely with other dogs, was very good on the recall. He kept very quiet in the boot of our car. Wally the ginger cat was pretty shy and vanished nearly 2 days, making us anxious, showing up afterwards only to get food. We hardly saw her. Maggie, a greedy fluffy cat who constantly meowed for food, came instantly to me, slept on my bed or my husband’s one. The adorable Riggie shared my couch too so I missed much less my own furry pets. In order to avoid parking problems and trafic jam, we chose to go to Barcelona by train : It is only 24km far. Trains run every quarter of an hour during the day, it takes 36 minutes to reach Plazza Catalunya, in center town. As Reggie could not be left alone more than 3 hours, his owners nicely suggested to call the dog service they often use : a van picked their dog up early in the morning and left him in the garden in the afternoon before our return. Reggie was delighted to spend a day with his canine friends. And us to be able to do some tourism freely without him. During our stay, a couple of paying guests stayed a week in the loft on the ground floor but it was not disturbing at all. The guests had their own keys, their own access to the garden. Again we were invited to stay an extra night in the loft when Carrie, Tom and their 2 kids returned from their holiday : it helped us a lot as we prefered to avoid to drive back to France at night. I do recommend a lot this sit : the pets and their "parents", the house and the garden are a dream.
Pappy is the cutest little love muffin I've ever seen! The apartment was spotless and the views in the area were outstanding. I enjoyed every moment I got to spend with him and was so sad to leave. Hoping to be back to see Pappy!!
I had such a lovely time at Mark and Marion’s home. Huey is so easy to take care of, he loves the outdoors. Managed to get a few cuddles. The home has everything one would need, I spent many an evening in their lovely garden. The setting is peaceful and pretty. The location is great, feels like you are in the middle of the forest yet so close to amenities and motorways. Easy access to shops. I would highly recommend this sit.
I thought I had left feedback for my house sit for Noddle & Tigger. I communicated with Stephanie and felt happy to meet up when I first when I arrived in Sydney while I staying with my sister. Thoroughly enjoyed looking after N&T.
I had a great stay at Bethan and Lizzie’s house! They were brilliant at filling me in on how best to look after Skye and Flint as well as making sure I was welcomed and comfortable in their home. I had a lovely stay in Tetbury and some great walks based on their recommendations. Both dogs are fantastic and great company too - they listen well to recall and are clearly well trained so great to walk with as well as cuddle on the sofa with afterwards! I’d highly recommend this sit to anyone - a beautiful location and wonderful dogs too!
