It was an absolute pleasure to look after Brea and Darcy for a couple of weeks! Suzanne and Richard are wonderful hosts and made me feel incredibly welcome from the moment I stepped in their door. They provided heaps of information about the dogs, house, local amenities and attractions. Their home is lovely with an incredible garden and surrounding fields for the dogs to enjoy. It was a great experience taking the dogs on a walk and passing through fields of sheep, horses and even deer. The dogs themselves are amazing. They are very well trained and incredibly well-behaved. It was very difficult to say goodbye to those loveable girls! Overall this housesit is an absolute dream for anyone wanting to surround themselves in the British countryside and relax with some adorable company.
I am very grateful for the opportunity to housesit for Lauren and Hugh. Tilly and Kev are exceptional and their home is so warm and welcoming in such a convenient location.
Sitting for Karen was an absolute pleasure. The cats are friendly and cuddly and we’re very happy to keep me company while I worked. The chickens, duck and lovely pig were also very easy to care for especially as I was at the farm house for the majority of the time. Karen gave me loads of information on looking after all the animals and pointed me to the local cake place! Karen’s home is beautiful and was a really comfortable place to work from and is nestled in the most beautiful countryside but still close enough to local towns so you don’t feel isolated. As a single female traveler I felt very safe here. Hopefully I can come and sit for this lovely furry and feathered family again soon!
