A wonderful relaxing housesit. Albie was just adorable and very easy to look after. Siri took no time to befriend us. Magnificent view of Dunk Island with lots of privacy surrounded by lush green garden. Were grateful for the pool, and spent a lot of time in it due to the heatwave while we were there. A privilege to see wild cassowary's walk through the garden almost every day. Fishing on the beach just down the road was a bonus for John. It was a pleasure to stay a day longer due to Kerry and Bob unable to get back due to bad weather.
What a delight to meet Robin and her family. I remember our first conference - I could immediately feel her kindness and generosity, even over video. She spelled out responsibilities very clearly and our communication was outstanding throughout the process. Her home is lovely and in a very comfortable neighborhood. Walking distance from coffee and restaurants. Luna and Ellie were incredibly welcoming and I felt like part of the team almost immediately. They have a dog door and a fenced yard, so they could go out freely during the day. They also have a fenced backyard and enjoy that quite a bit in the morning and in the evening. I walk rd them two times per day and they know the route. I just followed their lead. I am already coordinating future dates with Robin and I hope that I will have the privilege of caring for her animals and her home once again.
We had such a wonderful time dog sitting Carmella. She is such a lovable dog who loves walks, attention and nap time. She is an easy dog to take care of. Debra and Denny were great host and made sure we were beyond comfortable. The house and location was absolutely wonderful. The neighborhood was great for walks. We would for sure watch Carmella again!
I am a very sensitive person, so I had a full-on experience with Sherry's little bird. If you are interested in a Jane Goodall time, Pelee is for you to enjoy because she has been raised as a princess. She will want to be on you, all the time you are in the condo. When I was lying down, I found it very relaxing and therapeutic because she fussed over me. She stroked my hair, she gently nibbled on my neck and she strutted about here and there. She will even help you when you type because she will be on your finger watching the screen. Sherry has created a really lovely environment in her home with the artistic use of colour. Her condo is well-situated with a beautiful walking trail and creek at the side and back. Even if you have never interacted with a bird before, compassion and sensitivity will bring you to heights of fulfillment.
This was a wonderful housesit. Debra is in a vibrant neighborhood filled with historic homes and walking distance to vintage shops & downtown life. Her home is filled with gorgeous pieces of blown glass and has all the craftsmanship expected of a well preserved historic home. All the rooms were well decorated and the house was clean & comfy. You can get lost in Debra’s pantries filled with one of kind pottery bowls & plates along with an eclectic collection of glassware. Debra let us use her record player and we would fill the house with music and relax the day away. Dottie is an incredibly well behaved dog. She loved to lay around the house with us and bask in the light filling the home. We are so grateful to have met Debra and Dottie, and look forward to more time together.
We enjoyed sitting for Kelsey and all the cats. She was communicative from start to finish, and they left good instructions. The cats are sweet, and the location was excellent... We enjoyed walking through neighborhoods, downtown and the river. The only complaint I have is the odor from the litter boxes in the basement was so strong and off putting. Otherwise, it was an overall good sit!
