I had a great time sitting for Vinny. He is a wonderful cat and super easy to care for. The house was very clean, and they even left space for my clothes in the closet and drawers, which was very helpful. The location was excellent, with available parking and a safe neighborhood. Communication with the owner was top-notch, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

Lori and Stephen are a spectacular couple, with great taste and a magnificent home. We fell in love with Sheldon, Pippin and the seven chickens. Sheldon is a smart, lovable and well behaved sweetheart. Pippin is one handsome cat who loves to cruse the neighborhood and come back for some yummy cuisine. The seven chickens are pretty talented at slacklining and putting themselves away. This city country lifestyle was an extraordinary experience.

Brooks is an amazing pup - super smart, sweet & affectionate. He has a fairly active schedule that the owners track w a steps app that shares your location w them 24/7. I opted out of the app but was happy to play lots of fetch at the parks & check in w the owners every couple hours. This was the most communication I've ever had with owners & at times their anxiety was a lot to quel despite dozens of daily updates of every activity & expectation. I think their attention to detail is helpful but the communication style might be a bit too much for most sitters. I tried to go above & beyond with notes, calls, & repeated acknowledgement of their precise instructions but unfortunately I don't think it was enough. In the end they knowingly let me put the harness on wrong for days without correction which led to irritation of the pups skin on the final day. It went unnoticed on my end bc their wasn't any whimpering or protest behaviors, but I felt horrible that he was irritated. When I asked for pictures of this they couldn't capture it & then followed up with more critiques on communication & cleanliness despite me sending a video of their prestine place left in excellent condition (for instance I defrosted some fish in the fridge the day before & they were upset they had to throw it out) In the end we were able to be frank with eachother about our differing communication styles & come to an agreement that overall everything went well. Future sitters, I recommend being crystal clear about any misunderstandings, taking lots of videos/screenshots & being as direct as possible.

Had a wonderful long weekend with the cutest of all cats: Thistle 🐈‍⬛
She was very open, wanted to play or just cuddle and sometimes did a few crazy moves around the house. Jenna was very trusting so it was easy taking care of her kitty as well as some small tasks like watering the plants. The home is in a great neighbourhood where you can find good foodtrucks, bakeries and can get easily to downtown by car or bus. Absolutely recommended!

This was my first ‘sit’ on TrustedHousesitters.com. Thank you Erica for allowing me to watch over your pups and your home. This was the quietest and most peaceful 3-days I’ve had in a long time. Your pups are so loving and what a pretty home you have, such a pleasant ‘sit’ all around. Going to miss Oscar & Tig, thanks again for the opportunity!
