Well what an absolute dream sit this was! 🤩 And the dreamiest part of all? Well obviously that would be the SUPER dreamy Rufus! 😍 Clearly you can see that the house is beautiful from the photos but as my Mum will tell you, all I could talk about running up to and during the sit… was Roofy! 💛🐾 And as for Conchita and Jamie… well, I can only say the very BEST things about the both of them too. I had a great initial video call with Conchita and Rufus and immediately had ALL the good vibes from our conversation and was so excited to then be invited to the sit! Both Conchita and Jamie (and Rufus!) made me feel so immediately welcome in their home upon arrival. Oh and Conchita gives the BEST hugs so I’d highly recommend the sit for one of those alone! Rufus certainly will give you his own very special kind of hugs too 🥰🐾 Conchita and Jamie’s communication was excellent throughout my sit and they were fast to respond to any queries. We had a group chat too so that was really helpful and it meant that I could share photos of my adventures with Rufus with the both of them so they could see their boy having the BEST time and being looked after while they were off having a lovely time too ☺️ I arrived the evening before and while Conchita cooked us the most delicious meal, Jamie and Rufus took me for a walk to show me the local area. The both also gave me lots of great recommendations for things that Rufus and I could do and walks we could go on in the local area which was really helpful. It’s always great to have that local inside knowledge. Their home really is so very lovely too. It’s right near to the main shops of Clifton (which is a super cool part of Bristol!) but you wouldn’t know it as you can’t hear the road from their house or even from outside in their beautiful garden. I felt right at home straight away and everything was very straight forward thanks to their tour of the house before they headed off on their adventures. And as for Rufus…. well, he really is the most handsome boy in ALL the land and an absolute sweetheart! He’s such a beautiful bear with a heart of GOLD! 🤩 He of course, LOVES a good walk and will very happily show you where the local park is 😂 and I found him to be as good as gold when off the lead and his recall is excellent for such a young pup. He was also so lovely and friendly with other dogs. I’d highly recommend taking him for a good long explore of Ashton Court estate. We also had a super explore of Bristol city and even had a visit to the Cathedral where he enjoyed topping up on his history and culture 😁 He was great on the bus too 👍🏻 He is such an adorable boy and my favourite time of day was most definitely the evening when he’d give me a BIG snuggle on the couch. He’s the softest and sweetest natured boy who will instantly become your very best pal. I’m not gonna lie, I felt pretty emoshe saying goodbye to him! 💙 So thank you Rufus, Conchita and Jamie for being AMAZING hosts and for making me feel so welcome in your beautiful home 😍 and thank you Rufus for looking after me and being the sweetest companion during our time together ☺️ And above all, thank you Conchita and Jamie for trusting me to look after your handsome boy! I feel like I’ve very much made three fabulous new friends and I can’t wait to see you guys again soon for more adventure with Roofyroooo! 🐾☀️👣 I literally can’t wait! 🥰
Mike and Phil are very nice people and really made us feel welcomed and at home. They have a lovely home and garden full of interest. It is ideally situated for the High street. Leo and Jack, the cats, were no trouble at all. Jack likes to keep to himself, but Leo loves attention, he especially like to be groomed and would sit on my lap while we watched television in the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Atherstone, with its lovely walks along the Coventry canal.
We loved looking after Gaia for Tanya and Jacques. She is an amazingly gentle and calm Collie and we both fell in love with her. Tanya and Jacques were very welcoming, hospitable and justly proud of their home. It is a beautiful place set in a peaceful and picturesque part of southern France. It is a little secluded (which we love) so having your own car is a necessity. We would also recommend meeting Tanya at the bridge over the Ceze as it is a bit hard to find the house the first time . Nearby Goudargues has some great cafes near the canal and we can recommend the Brassiere du Commerce. If the opportunity arose, at the right time, we would very happily return.
