From the moment we arrived, Sophie and Damian welcomed us into their home and lives with Pablo and Blake as if we were all old friends. Communication was seamless, easy, and informative while making plans beforehand and while they were away. Their apartment is gorgeous and spotless and the complex where it’s located includes several pools and a gym with views of the port. There are large grocery stores within walking distance and a bus stop right in from of the building. Although the location is not central per se there are two massive parks with dog runs within a 2-minute walk and the public transportation was super easy to navigate and efficient, dropping us in Marina Bay within 45 mins. As for the dogs, Blake and Pablo both have qualities that make your heart melt. Since Pablo is deaf, his other senses are heightened meaning that you just need to adapt to signals as opposed to sounds, but the way he took to us was truly unconditional. Blake, on the other hand, is a food monster and probably the most flexible teenage-puppy we've ever met, but is as sweet as can be. No matter if we’re back in Singapore to look after them or just to visit, we look forward to seeing Sophie, Damian, Blake, and Pablo again!
We had a lovely stay at Alicia’s with Ona. The apartment was very well located with lots of really cool coffee shops and cafes nearby and the centre of Athens is easily reachable. Alicia gave great local suggestions. Ona is very cute looking and tiny, as Alicia warned us she is poorly and requires regular medication which the sitter would have to be comfortable giving her. Ona was a little scared of us at first but then she became very playful but didn’t like to be petted (also Alicia had told us this). Thank you 🤩
We loved sitting for Pam and her kitty cat, Cali! Pam is hospitable, friendly, generous, and welcoming! Cali can be a little stand-offish but once she gets to know you she turns into a little “purr-bug!” We thoroughly enjoyed sitting for Pam and Cali and would love to do it again! If you get the chance, you should too!
If you’re after a spot with satisfying seclusion, then a sit for J and Z is very much the place to be. Despite not initially meeting Jackie, a quick phone call confirmed arrangements and everything was plain sailing thereafter. The house, splendidly nestled among the Oxfordshire countryside in Steeple Aston, is calm, quiet and quaint with log burners to keep you cozy in the evenings – and a couple of cats to keep you company throughout the day. As seems to be the case with most, Jess and Hamish are contrasting characters with their own endearing quirks. Hamish is arguably the more affectionate of the two, so I was delighted when Jess nipped over for some lap time after accepting a few days of my presence. Jackie was in regular contact throughout, and I’m so glad she was as it meant taking heed of advice to venture into nearby Woodstock and around Blenheim. Lovely surroundings I can highly recommend. And because plans changed on my final day, I was able to stick around and meet both her and Zazi upon their return. An enjoyable end to a thoroughly enjoyable sit.
We had a fabulous time at Heidi’s! Their home is stunning and very comfortable, the neighborhood is fantastic and there was lots to see and do in the area. And these dogs! Oh my, I didn’t want to leave! Easy to walk (Odysseus was a great running buddy), well behaved and great snugglers. Communication before and during the sit was great. Clear instructions were left. Highly recommend and we would love to return ourselves 😊
