Lorena & Thomas have a beautiful flat and 5 amazing pets. I was very happy to spend 10 days with them and take care of their furry babies. Hope to see you soon again!
Richard, together with his three friendly dogs, welcomed us into his beautiful country home the weekend before his departure. We shared a couple of meals together before he left and got to know the routine of all the animals-dogs, goats, alpacas, ducks and hens! All the animals are easy to care for and a delight to interact with and the dogs soon became our constant companions! The weather was not very kind during our winter stay but we enjoyed our walks with the dogs and cosying up with them by the log fire in the evenings. We were given a lovely spacious room with wonderful views of the Devonshire countryside. Contact with Richard was always good and we can recommend this sit.
We had the pleasure of looking after Mabel this year and she is an absolute joy to be with. Mabel gets on well with other dogs and loves to run with them, in particular being chased as she knows that there aren't many that can keep up. She is great at recall and never gave us any reason to worry about her not coming back after an excited run. At home, she either snuggles down in her basket or hops on the sofa for a cuddle. We met Jooles, Pete & Briony a few months before the housesit to meet Mabel, check she was happy with us and get acquainted with the house. Jooles and Family are lovely and couldn't have made us feel any more welcome when we met them and when they left for their holiday they left us some lovely food and drink. They also left us detailed maps of walks in the area, allowed us to use their car to take Mabel to some of the further away places along with their National Trust cards so we could visit the local attractions. The house is beautiful and set back from the road with a garden that backs onto the South Downs. As it was early spring we didn't have to do any gardening so the plants were still alive when they returned! We will be staying in touch with Jooles and Family and have tried to persuade them to go away again soon so we can look after Mabel.
I had the most magical time looking after Luna and Dumi in Heidi and Rej's beautiful home. These cats have such contrasting personalities but are both so fun and affectionate and I miss them already! Luna is the more confident kitty and will give you headbuts and rub your legs, while sweet Dumi takes a little time to overcome his shyness, but is a snuggle bug once he feels comfortable around you, which is so lovely. Their home is spacious, bright, modern and a total oasis in this wonderful central location. I couldn't believe how close it was to the museum district and Brandenburg Gate, and it's safe to say I did a lot of walking and exploring the area. Heidi and Rej were so kind, helpful, reassuring and relaxed and showed me how to work everything in their home before they left. It was such a lovely, warm welcome and they really made me feel at home, and we kept in touch while they were away which was wonderful too. They have so many things in their home to make life easier for you as well, I was amazed by the gadgets and gizmos. I wouldn't hesitate to look after these amazing kitties and their lovely home again <3
Susan and David’s stay was my very first with TPS…and I can’t imagine how it could every possibly be topped! A warm and welcoming climate created by friendly, well-mannered pets and gracious and generous people make one feel at home immediately. Elvis’ and Dave’s laid back temperament make them easy keepers. They are happy lazing on the sofa, playing with each other or going on tandem walks. Accommodations are 5 stars; beautiful, spacious, clean, organized and private. I would visit again in a heartbeat!
We had a wonderful time with Barbie and Brisket in Hong Kong. They have given us a lot of joy and just watching them was so much fun. They are very independent cats and play and cuddle mostly with each other, but they will definitely be happy to keep you company and seek you out when they are ready for a little cuddling. Brisket is more active and cheeky and still loves to scratch the sofa or jump into the curtains in the bedroom, so we had to keep an eye on him :) Barbie is more cuddly, often watching his little pranks and just sometimes daring to follow him. So both very different, but equally adorable. And Ronald and Bron were great, easy hosts who gave us a super written explanation of everything and labeled the most important cupboards in the apartment. The apartment is simply wonderful and in a perfect location in Hong Kong. We felt completely at home and would come back anytime. Thank you both for having us!
