If you’re reading this as a potential host: Book these sitters! Our pets loved them and they left our house spotless. Would love to have them back anytime!
An amazing space in a lovely part of the country. Angus was really helpful and the dogs are the most brilliant boys.
If you're looking for Paradise, look no further! Top notch location, amenities & views plus the sweetest felines to cuddle with. Kate & Kara are both exceedingly kind & communicative as well. Would return in a heartbeat.
Short: We had the possibility to sit for Evi and would do so again whenever it fits with our traveling plans! A cosy home with cuddly dogs in nice surroundings 🙂 Long: As we were earlier done with our sit before Evi invited us to come to her house right after it, so we had some days together before she left for her trip. It was a very welcoming arrival with a delicious meal awaiting and interesting talks. Bela was happy to see us and ran to us for cuddles as soon as the door opens. We were curious how the time will be for Alfie because he is an anxious dog, but it turned out pretty well for all of us. Alfie took his time to look at us and see what we're up to. After a couple of hours he liked to be cuddled and during the next day he was onto our laps for his cuddle time. The kids adored him and Bela! Bela loved her brushing sessions, playtime and belly rubs and during our walks she was up for every possibility to catch her beloved stick and sprang into the water as soon as she was sure to find a way out again. Walking them was easy, as a really beautiful walk is right out the gardengate where Bela can run free (or on the lead with her harness). We took Alfie on the lead with his harness (because we wanted to be sure to be prepared when the anxiety shows up) what came in handy when we were meeting other dogs. He gets barky most of the time then, but turning another way and/or shorten the long lead did the trick for this short moment. Bela defends her stick but otherwise was comfortable with meeting other dogs. We loved our walks with them and enjoyed the surroundings very much! The house is warm and the beds cosy. The kitchen has everything I could think of to need for cooking or baking. All in all I was happy to do this sit! We already miss them all and hope to find the possibility to come back some time!
All 3 fur babies are so well behaved and easy to take care of. Indiana is definitely the most playful one of the lot and she’s so fun! It was great taking care of them and playing with Indiana! Melissa and Evan made us a great welcome guide which made the petsit hassle free! The location was great, with easy access to all amenities and quite central. We would definitely recommend petsitting for Melissa and Evan!
one of the great pleasures of house sitting is meeting lovely people and visiting fascininating places. Nowhere was that more true than our housesit in Patzcuaro. Dara and Gar are so hospitable and we were very happy to be able to spend some time with them both before they left and with Dara upon her return. They have an absolutely lovely home full of artisan craftwork of all types. A true oasis to spend restorative time in. Dara and Gar thoughtfully took us to dinner where we met several of their friends and even when Dara and Gar were gone this became an enjoyable weekly ritual. Dara filled out a comprehensive Welcome Guide and there were additional names provided on arrival of helpful friends and useful craftspeople. Patzcuaro itself is truly a Pueblo Magico. Dar and Gar's house is very close to the public market and we were able to walk through there daily and spot different stalls every time. Also close to two plazas where there was always something going on - great places to sit with an icecream and people watch. A true highlight for us was being in the area during Day of the Dead. We we able to visit several villages each one celebrating in a slightly different way. Fascinating! Before we arrived Dara asked if we could stay on an extra week and we are so glad we were able to do so. It meant we were able to spend more time with Dara as well as more time in Patzcuaro. We are so grateful we got the opportunity to spend time in Patzcuaro and doubly grateful for the good friends we have made in Dara and Gar. We can wholeheartedly recommend this sit.
