Milly was such a great sitter! My dog (also Millie) is a rescue who can be a bit fearful at times, but she adored Milly (the human) and they had a total ball, with lots of fun walks and sofa cuddles. Milly sent plenty of updates and pics, looked after the flat as well as the dog and even left a super-cute personalised card behind. (Which we'll keep for my Millie to stare lovingly at!) 100% recommended, a real gem of a sitter. Thank you!
Had a lovely stay taking care of bluebell! A very friendly cat in a beautiful home in a good location. Alasdair and Claire were very responsive to any questions, would stay again :)
These pets are so sweet! Kronos is an elderly gentleman of a bulldog. Absolutely adorable. He is just happy to just be near you. If you sit on the floor he'll come sit next to you for cuddles and a kiss on his head. He's so patient in receiving his eye meds. It was very hot during my visit, so for potty, we did a lap or two around the backyard and came back inside. Maia is a very sweet, charming cat with the softest fur! She minds her own business most of the day but comes over to get pets if you're sitting still. Diana and Tom's home is very tidy and I loved the decor. The bedroom is very relaxing, with a very comfortable bed, and a desk, plus an adjoining bathroom. The kitchen was plenty big enough for me to teach my cooking classes over video. I'm grateful that Diana and Tom chose me for this sit, and I'm eager to come back again in a couple of months! Highly recommended!
Vicki was very laid back and was a pleasure to sit for. I really enjoyed my stay at her home and her friendly cats were so sweet. It was funny to watch them as they both squeezed into the same bowl of their cat tree and people watched out the front window. I felt very safe here and would be back in a heartbeat!
Mathieu and his home were perfect. He introduced me carefully to his rescue dog, and Kepler and I got along well. He also gave me some contact people in case of emergencies, and they were very kind indeed. One actually took me out into the Peaks twice to see the sights and hike around a bit. The maps and pamphlets that Mathieu has available for his airbnb guests were also quite helpful. Macclesfield is a pleasant place, and most of the places are walkable. Another time I might want to rent a car to visit those places not on bus lines. I appreciated being picked up at the station and taken to some nearby shops. But mainly, I enjoyed the comfort of the home. I spent a lot of time writing and reading. The wifi was excellent.
