Kerstin
Kingsley, Kerstin and her home were lovely! Kingsley is a gem of a dog.
Kerstin gave me room to hang my clothes and a drawer, which I really appreciate.
She was quick to respond and so kind and gracious. I loved sitting for Kerstin and Kingsley!

Sue
Sue, Steve and their daughter Billie are all lovely, super welcoming :) Bosley the dog follows a strict routine due to his guarding tendencies which if not managed correctly can cause him to become aggressive, which can be challenging for the person looking after him. Sue gave us a thorough handover and notes of how to manage him, which we were grateful for. He loves big walks, the beach and other dogs and is a big softie when hes behaving himself. Roxy is a beautiful little cat that just wants to sit on your lap and sleep on you and let's you know when she needs more biscuits. Sue and Steve's house is in a lovely area, super close to all amenities and we felt super comfortable there. Thank you for having us :)

Alison
Alison & Stephen are a pleasure to sit for. They made us feel very comfortable in their amazing house. Comms were great before and during the sit, and over lunch, they told us all the information we needed for a stress-free sit and took us around the village to show us the various walks.
The location is fabulous and their village is beautiful. There are plenty of places to see and visit nearby, including the amazing Milton Abbey. There's a litle farm shop nearby which was nice to visit, we even had a cup of tea there.
A car is essential for supermarket shopping in Dorchester or Blandford, though there are a few convenience stores dotted about nearby. There are a few pubs not too far away selling pub grub, one of which is in the interesting thatched town of Milton Abbas, but I enjoyed cooking in Alison's well equipped and fab kitchen alot.
However, Iggy & Fenn are the real stars of the show. They are lovely dogs who do everything you ask, as both are really well trained and no problem off lead. Their recall is 1st class. Iggy is the oldest, Fenn the youngest, and they get on very well together. They are a pleasure to be with, and we spent alot of time in the garden with them, as well as the many walks we went on. It was great to see them enjoying themselves in the fields behind the house, which became our favourite, as so enjoyable for us too. These two really are typical Labs, lots of fun, easy going, and made us laugh alot. They are well behaved indoors too, which is always a plus, Fenn actually lets you know when she wants to go to bed!
A first class sit, with first class owners and dogs, I wish I could give more than 5 stars as the sit was exceptional.
Thanks for having us Alison & Stephen, we hope to see you all again some time. We'd be back in a heart beat!

Jan
I got to spend a week at Jan's place with Sheba and Shebar right after I had finished a long 10 days of working on site and about 10 hour days. It was such a nice respite and place to relax. I enjoyed the company of mostly Sheba as Shebar was really shy and hardly ever made an appearance. I did find that she somehow would snake into the caibnet underneat the sink and then jump out when I opened it. Jan had clear instructions and I had met with her ahead of time to make sure I understood everything. It was a super easy sit in a nice suburban location. I had my car so that made it easy to get around. I did however see a bus line one block away as well. I would definitely sit for Jan and the girls again- and hopefully Shebar would remember me and warm up to me.

Amber
Sitting in this lovely home on an amazing piece of land on the river, with the happiest of chickens and the sweetest of cats was one of my absolute favorite places I have ever been in my 57 years. I highly recommend this sit.

With their many years of experience as housesitters themselves, Amber and Gregg are incredibly thoughtful about being such great and supportive hosts. They thought of everything and made sure my stay was as comfortable as could be. It feels like a resort there. At the end, Amber even asked if I had any suggestions to make it better. I really had to rack my brain to come up with one little suggestion to add to the already thorough instructions. And, she was grateful for the feedback.

Basil is amazing as he is very adventurous outdoors, loves to roam the big yard, follow you down to the river, and also visits the neighbors on a super quiet road. After a couple of days, he became quite affectionate, and cuddly, and spent more time indoors connecting with me. The chickens have the backyard as their own and are very easy to care for. Their humans absolutely love and are incredibly thoughtful about their fur and feather babies. My kind of peeps!

Lori
My stay in Vancouver, Washington, with Lori and Mike was enlightening. I enjoyed all the cats, Olive, Jimmy, Jack and Milo. Spooky, the outdoor feral cat, kept me amused. I did not have the opportunity to entertain the outdoor pet racoons. I learned a lot from Mike and Lori as they are very community oriented. I had the opportunity to be shown around town apropos particular social projects that are underway in their city. I came away from Vancouver enlightened and with great ideas. 'Milo' was a "star" as evidently each evening before bedtime she sits on Lori's lap and sucks on her favourite green blanket. Thank you for a great visit!
