Carole and Ron looked after our kitten Boomer, our home and garden for 2.5 weeks this summer while we were in Europe. It was our first experience with house sitters, and we would not hesitate to recommend them to others! They asked thorough and thoughtful questions ahead of time, were great communicators during our trip, and left the house absolutely spotless upon return. Boomer thrived on their company and our garden was very well cared for. Respectful and trustworthy house sitters that we would love to host again.
Bill, Sam, and their daughter Olivia are truly wonderful people who greeted us warmly and gave us clear and easy to follow instructions for looking after Oscar, Wally, Smudge and their home. We felt welcomed and comfortable with them immediately. Oscar and Wally are both sweet, affectionate, good listeners and easy going boys. When we weren't walking or playing with them they were laying near us while we worked remotely from our computers. They are also okay alone for a few hours per day so it allowed us time to go and explore a bit of the region. Many of the highlights of our visit come from the time spent with the boys. Their home is just steps away from quiet country roads that run through vineyards. It was so peaceful to walk through these roads with the dogs, admire the grapes, pick wild figs and berries, and take in views the of horizon. Smudge likes to spend a lot of time outdoors so we didn't get to know her as well. But she is was very sweet and enjoyed a good chin scratch when she came in to eat and sleep. It has been a real pleasure to get to know the whole family. We miss our walks and snuggles with the boys already. We look forward to staying in contact.
It's been several days since the end of this sit & I still miss Bailey & Ollie! They are independent doggies who can chill on their own, go out to use the restroom through the door flap, know their sleep routine, & LOVE a walk! Miss Bailey is a diva who loves to pose in the window & will charm you into giving her allll the treats! Mr Ollie is the sweetest boy who initially needed to see if he trusted me, but then quickly warmed up & became my little shadow. Loved taking naps & reading with these cozy pups! As I don't have a car, I hesitated to apply for this sit, but then I realized I wanted a break from the hustle & bustle of a big city. Literally 2min in to my zoom call with Chelsea & I knew this little family was special & I had to meet them in person! Their house is in between 2 adorable small towns & there is a bus stop right in front to take you to Dorking for £2. The walks I took in the forest with the doggies were MAGICAL! I am by no means a hiker & I was obsessed with all the walks available! Chelsea & Clint's clean house was the perfect blend of cozy & modern & cooking in that kitchen was a dream. I was floored by the generosity of these hosts! As a solo female traveler, it is so heart-warming to arrive to a place where you feel safe, cared for, & can also have someone fun to chat with & get local recommendations from. I truly loved looking after Bailey & Ollie & meeting Chelsea & Clint! Don't miss the opportunity do a dogsit here 😍
My sit went amazing due to Shannon's instructions and communication. I knew exactly what to do and she was available for questions. Her home was welcoming, clean, and very comfortable for my stay. It was easy to settle in and I'd be happy to return. They live in a wonderful neighborhood within walking distance of some great restaurants, Angelo's is known for their fantastic pizzas. Their street is quiet and the neighborhood is safe to explore. Bella is a fantastic companion. She has a great personality that shines through and is playful. She is well trained and easy to care for. She cooperates with you at meal and potty times and takes her pills with no issues. If you are working from their home, she is quiet during meetings and allows you to do your work. It was a pleasure to share the long weekend with Bella and I look forward to doing it again!
Nelle is such a darling!! It was so nice to spend some time with her, she's a sweet and cuddly (and VERY well behaved!) companion. Rebecca and Steve's home is nearly as dreamy as Nelle - a comfortable oasis in a quiet and charming neighbourhood. The whole family was so welcoming, the house felt like a home, and even the neighbours made me feel like I was a fixture in the area (hi JB!). The communication was easy and smooth, and Rebecca and Steve were great, warm hosts to receive me and help me get settled. It would be a pleasure to spend time with Nelle any time she would have me, and I recommend any sweet sitters with love to give to come and stay with her.
Cute, cuddly, dogs, beautiful home, and Kim is great! She is very communicative and responds quickly…she is very kind, too! Both Roxy and Betty are very sweet and love to be cuddled! I recommend this home for anyone interested. Thanks for a great stay, Kim😃
I had the most incredible time in Kas with April and Brownie. I am missing them so much. They were just the best company - full of character and so chilled - loving their walks throughout the day. Huge thanks to Caner and Eline for having me to stay whilst they were away. It was so lovely to meet their gorgeous girl Helen who is full of giggles and fun. She is just full of joy. I arrived the day before Caner, Eline and Helen set off on their trip. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet with them in advance, get to know April and Browne and their routine, etc, as well as general stuff around the house and neighbourhood. We also spent some lovely hours that day in Kas, getting to know the lay of the land, for the bits and pieces I would need during the week. The location of the sit was perfect, with incredible views of the mediterranean, a quick walk down the hill to the nearest beach for swims (definitely longer coming back up lol) and about 25 mins walk into Kas itself. (A really lovely scenic walk). Kas is a lovely town, great vibe, so picturesque. When Caner, Eline and Helen got back from their trip, I stayed on a few more days at their generous invitation. This was wonderful as we got to hang out and they took me to see the Lycian rock-cut tombs of Myra and also St. Nicholas Church in Demre. (And yes, there was in the shop across the road - a large outdoor Santa!!!). I am so appreciative of the kindness and welcome from Caner and Eline. I loved getting to know them and we had some great chats. Through their thoughts and reflections, I got to understand more about Anatolia, heritage, politics, etc. Caner and Eline are such gentle and congenial people and both April and Brownie reflect this with their lovely calm and chilled energy. I would love to have the opportunity to come back again to this fantastic family with their fab dogs.

Betsy and Amelia with Bowser’s Best Buddy are a cut above the rest. I see how much genuine love and care they show my pup, while offering positive and consistent training. My dog Otis attends their day program and has truly blossomed, from an excitable 1 year old adolescent to a well rounded, friendly, obedient member of their pack. Betsy has offered such valuable recommendations on how I could continue the training approach at home to keep advancing his knowledge. I found Betsy as I looked for a day program that wasn’t a larger scale “daycare” space. Betsy did a careful screening to make sure Otis would fit well with the other dogs and slowly folded Otis into the mix. Now that Otis is a “regular,” it gives me peace of mind that any newcomers to the program will be similarly vetted and introduced. A year into attending the day program, Otis is thriving and I am so grateful for the Bowser’s team (Finn, the elder pup, included!)

We have been taking our girl to Bowser’s since she was a puppy. Tuesday’s are her favorite day of the week. Betsy treats Pimm like her own and it’s such a relief to not have to worry about her while I’m working. I get pic and video updates during the day, like this gem. We love working with Betsy. Betsy is a gem! We have two cats, and when we leave to go out of town, we go in peace, because we know they are always so well cared for and loved by Betsy. We feel so fortunate to have found her. Her daily updates, photos, and videos are wonderful to receive and make us feel so close to our kitties, even when we are far away. Whenever I’m leaving town, I rely on Betsy to take great care of my furbaby. I feel like she treats my dog as her own and that gives me piece of mind. We found Betsy about a year ago - and think she is fantastic!! Our three dogs love her as well....she comes for mid day visits when we are out of town. She never fails to send us photos and a detailed review of the visit - and also takes the time to make sure things in the house and yard are in order. Mary Ellen takes the best care of my dogs, so much that the youngest would happily stay there forever. Great pick up/drop off process. Excellent communication and scheduling is easy, daycare or boarding. So glad to have stumbled across her place years ago!
My husband, myself and our pup just moved to the SE area and we were stressing on finding a doggy daycare. We both work all day and didn’t want our pup to be home alone; he has a lot of anxiety & especially separation anxiety. We found Mary Ellen’s daycare and immediately she sounded like a good fit. We’ve been taking our pup to her for about a month now and it’s been going great! We were really concerned that his anxiety would be an issue and that maybe it’d be a bit much for Mary Ellen, but she quickly dispelled those fears. She’s been working with our pup and helping him adjust to the new routine and has been incredibly kind and patient. We’re so grateful to have found Mary Ellen ☺️☺️☺️
We LOVE Wag Along! Our pup has been going there for a while for daycare and comes home happy and exhausted. We've also boarded her there and had a great experience. Mary Ellen is knowledgeable, flexible and reliable, and it is such a great spot for our pup to spend some time each week! Our girl can be a little nervous to leave us (she grew up during pandemic stay-home orders), but warmed right up to going! I know how much she loves it by her excitement when we pull in for drop off & at the end of the day, she usually doesn't want to leave! We consider Wag Along her second family and highly recommend them for boarding or daycare :)
I feel grateful to have found this day care/boarding location for my pup! I’ve brought my pup there for day care and I’ve boarded her for as long as 5 days. My dog always leaves happy and tired from playing with all the other wonderful dogs. I trust that Mary Ellen keeps a watchful eye over all of the dogs while they are under her care. Mary Ellen is excellent at communicating with me and I feel 100% comfortable leaving my puppy there. I would highly recommend!
Mary Ellen is the best. We always leave our dog with her when we're away and have been doing so since 2016. As soon as we pull up outside her house, she starts whimpering to get out and join her friends. Mary Ellen has two dogs of her own, Margaux and Rou, both wonderful golden retrievers who our dog adores. They're kind of like benevolent older siblings to her. I often think our dog has a better time than we do — home away from home!
I took my anxious 1 year old puppy to Wag Along to try to help with her separation anxiety and socialization. Mary Ellen took extra good care of her and within a few weeks Bootsy was more confident and well behaved and she loves going to see Mary Ellen and to play with the other dogs. I appreciate how very easy drop off and pick up is, and that my pup is still clean at the end of the day. Mary Ellen is kind, responsible and the price is right.
We’ve taken our energetic 1.5 year old heeler Sylvie here since the beginning of the year, been a very positive experience. Space-wise it’s essentially a house & yard, rather than the typical warehouse type areas of other doggy daycares. We appreciate the fact that the owner, Mary Ellen, has been doing this a long time and is very hands-on – it’s good to know our pup’s with someone experienced & who really cares about both the animals & how things are run. She’s flexible and the whole process has been super easy. Price is pretty standard. Our dog is fairly high strung and at first she had a lot of anxiety about being left there. But after a little while she got over it, now it’s fun to watch her excitedly run to Mary Ellen & all her doggy friends in the morning. I think the daycare has actually helped out her maturation process. Mary Ellen sends video clips and/or photos during the day showing them playing & lounging around, which is fun for a doting dog parent like me. The pup comes home happy & tired. We just do part-time right now - to socialize Sylvie & keep her company while the humans work, also to create a familiarity in case we ever have to board her there sometime for travel. Highly recommended.
We love having our Sully with Mary Ellen. We never worry about him when he’s there. We use daycare and board with her when we are out of town. He is always excited to see her and she takes such good care of the pups in her care. Recommend her 110%.
Mary Ellen takes such good care of my baby, I never worry at all when she’s there. My dog was super timid before she started going about a year ago and now she’s so happy to go see her friends each time. Mary Ellen watches a nice variety of sizes and breeds, so she’s exposed to all kinds of dogs, which is helpful for the real world. I literally don’t know what I would do without her. We love Wag Along!
Mary Ellen is amazing, I’ve been trusting her with my dog for a while now. I recently used her for boarding, and she went above and beyond when taking care of my dog. I had to drop off my dog right after being injured and Marry Ellen took her with out hesitating. She gave her her meds and cared for her like I would have. She even sent me frequent updates and pictures to help ease my anxiety. I truly don’t think you will find a more caring pet sitter in the Portland area!
I love the free day opportunity. It is understandable sense my dog has been training through severe separation anxiety for a couple months after his previous owners kenneled him until he was 5 months. He's a quick study and the man that lead him into his dog daycare was the 1st my dog has ever gone with without pulling and the man saw that he was better the next day. Phew! I recommend this place. Check out the savings on the buying options. The price is right. Also feels like a good and happy neighborhood dog daycare. My dog came back tired and ready to eat. They have great prices on meals but I just feed him so he has a routine.
My beloved, healthy mini schnauzer DIED in their care from horrific injuries. Your dog is not safe with them. I trusted them with my sweet little pup and he never came back home.
I called to speak with someone about boarding my dog and they were so rude! I said, "Happy Friday! How are you?" To which they scoffed and replied, "What do you need?" I said I was thinking of boarding my dog, but not when they spoke to me like that. The person laughed and said, "That's fine." And hung up. if this is how they treat the humans, I worry how they treat the animals. No thanks.
This place is awesome!!! My dogs love coming here, and they are always so tired when I pick them up, which is great because a lot of the time during the work week, I do not have time to play with them. Cheaper than any other place in the PDX area as they have package deals for weeks/months. More days you buy, cheaper it is overall. Pickup/drop off process is quick and efficient. The sweet lady that works here is a hoot and always making me laugh. Thank you, Safe Journey!
I just gotta say, I absolutely love this place! The staff and environment are incredibly friendly and welcoming. my two rotties always have such a good time there. I know my boys can be difficult at times, but they are very patient with them and they always come home happy and healthy wiggle butts! <3

I have nothing negative to say about them. Only thing is that i wish they were closer to Troutdale. I absolutely love bringing my dog here. He always comes home very very tired. You can tell that the staff here is very knowledgeable about what they're doing as well. I drop him off before work or a trip and i leave with a peace of mind. i appreciate how they try to accommodate my schedule as well. I also love how they don't kennel their dogs. My dog has terrible separation anxiety and a kennel would not be a good time for him. I really appreciate this business, and the staff that can make it all happen. I will be recommending them to anyone who needs a great doggy day care.
This place holds one of the worst experiences I have ever had. This happened 1 year ago. I took my sweet old pup there for a few day care trials in anticipation of a potential 10 day stay. He seemed to liked it so I went ahead and book his long stay. Conin was at Safe Journey a total of 5 days and he died. They emailed me while I was abroad to tell me my dog had not eaten in 3 days and that he was in poor health. 3 days! I immediately had a family friend go pick him up and 24 hours later he was dead. Not only this has been dramatic and absolutely devastating, but I also had to deal with the complete and utter lack of responsibility Safe Journey decided to take regarding this after I arrived back in the US. I received long emails from them with just excuses. I strongly believed that my dog was left in isolation, not fed and not cared for at all. He was so dehydrated when my friend picked him up, that even after 24 in intensive care they could not revive him. This place is extremely dodgy, they thrive themself as specialized in "difficult dogs", and so i trusted these people with my 15 year old mutt. He was a healthy old pup, and within 5 days he became ill and died. They took no responsibility, they did not offer to reimburse me for the days he did not spend in there, there was zero care, only a bunch of excuses. The recent number of horrible review have encouraged me to speak up. At the time, I reported them to the better business bureau. I strongly encourage you to do the same if you had a poor experience there. Below is a photo of Conin on August 24th (the day I dropped him off) and the photo of him 6 days after. Bless him.
We love Safe Journey so much! Craig and the team care so much about our pup and make sure he’s having a good time- whether he feels like relaxing alone or playing with others. My dogs love this place! Kennels can be anxiety inducing, especially for resuce dogs. At Safe Journey, they get to socialize freely, making it more natural for all the dogs. In addition to our dogs being happy, they have very flexible availability and fair pricing, a must for last-minute travelers like myself.
My fur child is so incredibly happy the second we pull into the parking lot!!! The staff are welcoming, warm and engaging. I was just using this service as a fill in activity for travel but my little buddy can not live without the Scooby crew on a regular schedule. Can not say enough about how fabulous this has been! Great pricing and the A’ la cart services are awsome too!

Nyxie loves her plays and stays at Scooby Shack. She's made some good buddies (dogs and humans!), and she "sings" all the way to the Scooby Shack once she knows we're headed that way. The staff takes such good care of our girl. When she stays there, the staff is happy to give updates and pictures. (We know Nyxie is having a ball so this is really to make her parents feel better.) Thank you Scooby Shack for taking such great care of our girl!
Extremely disappointed with this place. We used to bring our dog here exclusively for grooming and daycare but never again. We brought our dog in to get groomed after several years of grooming here and only when I went to pay was I told that the prices increased, over $100 MORE! We'd always brought our dog in the morning to play with the other dogs and then his grooming appointment would be in the afternoon. We've done this for years and not once have they charged us for day care when bringing him in the morning If we also got him groomed. It was only when I came to pick him up that they told me they increased their prices for grooming and charged me for the morning. I understand raising prices as needed but this was a very dishonest way to go about that. They should have let their customers know before they leave their dogs there that they increased their prices by so much instead of waiting until after the service is over. Not to mention the groomer did not even trim some areas we'd requested like around his booty so now I have to do it myself. We will never be coming back and will be telling our friends and family who also go there about this experience.
I'm so excited, Scooby Shack has a new groomer (Hannah), and she is fantastic. I have a Yorkshire Terrier and a Bernese Mountain Dog and I've been through more than my fair share of not so good grooming experiences. Leah really listened to me and did exactly what I asked her to. My dogs look great, and you can tell she really enjoys grooming dogs. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her!
I’ve posted before and after pictures of our mini Aussiepoo. As you can see, he had a full head of cute, curly hair that the groomer at Scooby Shack has managed to shave off haphazardly twice. When we picked him up this time, we were in tears; she’d cut his whiskers off, shaved his entire body and only left his ears and tail alone. She said it was because we didn’t brush him enough, but we brushed him every day. I am so disappointed and upset by this groomer. How can you work with animals and do this to them? Do not take your dog to this woman, she clearly doesn’t care about the work she is doing or how her customers feel.
I have taken my dogs to Scooby Shack since 2011. Trulli loves going to Scooby Shack so she can play with her doggie friends and with Todd. I am very happy with the care Trulli receives and have no reservations taking her for daycare and boarding Trulli at Scooby Shack.
Very impressed with this daycare and boarding facility . Very clean and communication is topnotch. They Have staff with the pups at all times -24 hrs. Experienced staff watching and they understand animal behavior. As I’m Watching pups come and go-The pups are so happy waggin their tails , hopping on their feet -such a sight to see. That tells me they had a good time. What great way to socialize a pup in a pack environment. 🤩 They even have a cat condo. Super Clean and have wall climbing area for them. I got to see a cat scratching on a post didn’t even seem scared. Relaxed and strutting his stuff across the room. 🤩
Our dog loves Scooby Shack. He is excited when we take him here, and when he comes home, it is obvious he has played all day long and enjoyed his day. Staff are super friendly and nice.

Everyone has a great attitude and welcoming smile. I totally trust them to provide a safe and secure place where my dog can run around with his pals. I never have to worry when he is there. We go to LexiDog for Krissy. She is the best groomer and cares so much for our dogs. We have 2 Bernese mountain dogs and a leonberger and they always come out floofy and happy.
Krissy does a fabulous job grooming Wonton and Porter. She cuts their ears to the leather so they don't get wet from the water bowl, and they always smell great! So handsome!
My dog loves coming for daycare and we love the daily report card. Grooming services are reasonably priced and earns our pup lots of compliments at the park.
I have been taking my dog to Lexidog for eight years and highly recommend them. I use daycare, grooming and boarding and have never had anything but good experiences during all this time. My dog loves it there. The attendants and groomers are so loving and skillful in working with the dogs. Your dog will have to pass an assessment to assure compatibility with the current canines. I’m retired now and don’t really need to take Elsa in very often but do anyway several times weekly, because the exercise and socialization are so good for her.

Misty is AMAZING! My daughter has a Pomeranian who has anxiety attacks around people he doesn't know well. She's been able to cut right on through his little walls. :) Thank you for being Amazing, Misty :) By the way - Chaz died a couple months ago. We are still sad about it but he's in a better place and Misty made him feel better toward the end of life and we appreciate her.
LexiDog in Lake Oswego is one of the best doggie daycare, boarding, and grooming facilities we have ever taken our chocolate lab too. When we first moved to the Portland area we needed to find a regular place for daycare, grooming and boarding for our pup. LexiDog has been amazing, caring, and accommodating to our pup every time. All of their staff are truly amazing and love all the dogs.
They took 3 hours to groom our dog and when we came back we saw the daycare guy on video making rounds spraying dogs in the face. The front desk said the spraying was to get the dogs to stop barking but his presence seemed to be causing barking. Everything I know about face spraying is it is cruel. I wouldn’t trust them with my dog again.
This is such an awesome place to take your dogs to! I love the staff and I feel comfortable leaving my puppy there for training/play time. Amanda is a great trainer and I can tell that she really cares about the dogs there. I don’t know everyone else’s name, but the rest of staff is friendly and super knowledgeable! Calcifer LOVES being there and looks forward to his Monday visits.
Cute place that's super clean, an amazing little store full of dog related products! Super friendly groomers and what a great job! Fun in the doggy daycare includes both an exciting play side and a calm side for older or smaller more cuddly dogs ❤
When we board our dogs with Nature's Acres we can travel with peace of mind that our pups are taken care of. We have a dog that can't be in the same space with other dogs- they have special kennels that actually provide better socialization than what I can do. The staff take special care to follow prescriptions and feeding instructions. We've used both overnight boarding and daycare when we travel or night our dogs out of the house. If there is ever a problem they call to follow up. We trust them with our babies. These are truly dog people. Big thanks to the staff on behalf of Rose & Dexter
5/5 Stars! Highly recommended!! Quite the gem located in Damascus. We've been taking our lg English lab here for many years and have always had the most excellent experiences! The staff is always friendly, professional, and experienced. Very well-priced, especially for the quality of services received. They offer over night kenneling as well as day care and baths too! This time we took our shy/timid 1st time boarder, our small border collie mix for an overnight stay as well, and we weren't sure how she would do. The staff there went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and at-home. Both of our family companions enjoyed their stay there, and will definitely be returning! Thank you Natures Acres!!
I recently boarded my 2 dogs with Nature's Acres for 10 days. I was very impressed with how friendly and attentive the staff was. I was pleased with the facilities as well. I felt like my dogs were being well taken care of while we were on vacation. Thank you!
I had never used a boarding service before this. I had to, very last minute, find boarding for my young Doberman. Luckily they had a cancellation and were able to fit us in. I was extremely impressed with the facilities and the staff. The staff were all very kind and knowledgeable. They seemed to actually enjoy working there and genuinely love the dogs. The facilities were incredible!! It was a huge area completely fenced in and I loved that the dogs were all free of collars and leashes. They had a very detailed form to get to know the pup and how to handle him, it was fantastic as he has dietary restrictions. I will 100% use them again.

Our four dogs love coming here! We're pretty sure our husky-pyrenees mixes would move-in fulltime if we let them. We have a unique perspective, because Natures Acres boarded our large dogs for two consecutive months when we first relocated to PDX from NC. We visited our dogs every weekend and they always looked perfectly happy and healthy. Since then, they have kept our whole pack two more times, including for a recent two-week stint. All of the employees here are so kind and genuinely dog-lovers, which means the quality of care is top-notch. And every time we visited, we noticed there were constantly people cleaning thorough-out the facility. We felt confident leaving our pups in their care and Leela, Bo, Bandit, & Ernie are looking forward to their next visit!
Super nice and smart dog people run this place. Affordable and conscientious. Our german shepherd is good dog, but also a handful and she was loved by the staff. We did learn our dog can jump 7' fences (twice) so they moved here to a more secure kennel. Highly recommended!
Natures Acres has always been nice and very accommodating. Easy to work with and a great staff. Monty is a high energy cattle dog and they have no problems taking care of him. On our most recent stay our flight was delayed and we couldn't pick Monty up as scheduled. The staff at Natures Acres was nice enough to let us pick him up the next day, on a holiday when they were closed. Thanks for your help!

Terrific place to take your dog and am beyond appreciative for how the staff takes care of and interacts with our German Shepherd Oakley as he can be a little difficult. The staffs attention to detail and how well they take care of the animals and facility is top notch. Would recommend this kennel to anyone!! My wife and I LOVE taking our dog to RDR West Linn. They do such a good job of taking care of Daisy, and offer wonderful perks and activities each month (we especially love the photo shoots) that make it so special to come here. The staff is always friendly and professional and maintain excellent communication if any questions or concerns come up on our part.
Reynolds takes very good care of my dog who has special needs sometimes. They seem like they truly care and listen to my directions for her carefully highly recommend them. This is the Reynolds in West Linn.
Someone recently recommended this location, specifically, for doggy day care & boarding - this location & the Tualatin location are really close to each other, but the West Linn location has an outdoor play area with artificial turf (no/less dirt/mudd/mess when the rains hit). My 1 1/2 year old pup has gone 3 times for daycare, loves it, staff is GREAT, & pup sleeps SO GOOD nights after going! Definitely recommend!
Kodiak has been going to Reynolds since she was 4 months old! She loves it and they love her, it’s been a match made in heaven for the past year and a half and we’ll continue to go here in the future! They even take cute pictures on holidays with the pups :)
Yesterday was Phoebe and Gus Gus first daycare visit. The staff was friendly and professional. All though phoebe didn’t acknowledge me the whole way back home I know she will adjust. Clearly she’s use to being with mom all day. Thanks covid. I can’t wait for our second visit next week. I know the dogs will love daycare once they get in the routine.
The employees care deeply about my dogs. They were quick and efficient even during a rush when I came to pick up my dogs. I appreciate them managing my dogs and will definitely be bringing them again.
What happened?!?! Service is WAY down in this location. it's a 15-20 min wait to drop off and pick up my dog now, when before it was in and out in 2 mins. Familiar faces are gone, there are far fewer people out front and they always look stressed and overworked. I suspect new management and cost cutting which is terrible for customers.
First time we use pet boarding in the US as we just could not be happier, great place to bring your dog, we even got an update with picture. Gijs had a great time will definitely bring him more often
Trustworthy boarding and daycare facility. The girls are always so sweet and you can tell they care about all of the dogs that come through. My german shepherd was always anxious while boarding until I found Reynolds Dog Resort. He now comes home happy and tired and has a blast playing with the dogs and in the water there. Highly recommend.

I LOVE this place! The little welcoming area doesn't even begin to allow you to understand just how great it is. I took my 1year old Frenchie who has never been in this type of environment. For $5 i get an update each day to see how she was playing, anything information important to know and the report card is just such an incredible offer. The humans who work there are so attentive and supportive to the pups. They are very kind when you engage with them in any form. The prices are beyond reasonable. The place is so much bigger for the dogs and has so many little offerings you can purchase. The boarding is free roam no crates. My girl comes home so pooped out and happy that she has a place to play and board if I go out of town. I have zero complaints and highly recommend!!
We've been taking our 9 month old puppy here for a few months now and we love it (and so does he!). The staff is super friendly and very clearly care a LOT about the dogs that go to them. I love love love the daily Instagram posts, I get more excited to see what he's doing at daycare than I think I ever was about my human kids at daycare (kidding. Or am I?). Webster gets SO excited when we get there, and I can tell that he loves it and loves the humans there. Also their hours are so convenient, and love that they offer kennel-free boarding.
Wooftastic is one of the best things to happen to us since moving here. Our girl has a lot of energy and this place has made a home for her there when she needs time to run around and be a crazy little lady. We always feel that she is so well taken care of, we love their no crate boarding, which is what she was used to. Everyone is kind and attentive and we would recommend this place to anyone who has a doggy that needs daycare or boarding.
Fern loves going to daycare. The way they run scheduling, pick up and drop off, and payment makes everything super smooth. Staff is very friendly and always makes sure to ask if he has food with him and reminds me to grab his container at the end of the day. Also love the convenient hours 6am-9pm, 7 days a week as well as a good price point. They post all of the dogs everyday so you can check in on your pup they also offer extras like treats and walks and do fun activities like bubbles, aromatherapy, nose balm. Overall great place definitely would recommend.
We've been lucky enough to send our precious dog Georgia to Wooftastic for the past 8 months. They've always been so nice and welcoming when we pick and drop her off. They have great hours and rates. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in search of a good doggy daycare.
I am so happy and grateful to have found Woof-Tastic for my pup, Maya! I have been SO impressed with the kindness of the staff, their communication, and care. The environment is bright and fun and just matches what you read and see online. And I can tell Maya, although still a little timid and shy, is warming up, feeling safe, and having a great time! I feel so relieved and can not reccomend Woof-Tastic enough! <3
My sweet Ruby is always so excited to go to daycare. The team there takes such good care of her and I never have to worry while I’m away. She comes home happy & exhausted. 10/10 would recommend!
I’ll let my dog’s smile speak for itself. I’m so happy we found Woof-Tastic! The flexible booking system is easy, and I feel my dog is safe with them which is important. My girl got so excited to go on her 2nd day that she couldn’t wait to say goodbye and go see her friends. The rates are more than fair, which is a big plus. 10/10.
We absolutely LOVE Wooftastic Playhouse! Our dog has so much fun there. He is safe and well loved. They post pictures of all the dogs to their Instagram each day, which I love! There's no other place that I've felt as confident boarding my pup. I highly recommend them!!!

I am so thrilled with BarkZone! I don’t normally do reviews, but they are just so amazing that I have to give them a shout out. My dog loves going there! The things I appreciate most about them are the drop-in availability (so convenient!!), ability to board my dog at the same place he goes for day services, the extra services like grooming or add-ons (brushing and treats for example) during boarding, being able to occasionally spy on him when I’m missing him via the live cameras on the website, and the friendly staff! I am so appreciate of your business model and services. My dog always comes home happy (and tired) when he spends time at BarkZone Thank you for being a place my sweet pup loves to go!
My dog loves it here. He typically does two days during the work week to break up the week. He's usually pretty chill the days following his visits after playing all day. I appreciate that I can check in via the cameras and see him playing and having fun with the friends he has made. We haven't done summer days yet and I have not been able to watch them play outside, so I'm reserving a star. Overall, it's a nice option to have. I appreciate they do the temperament tests and seem to keep a pretty good eye on the dynamics with the dogs present. Would recommend.
Barkzone was so good with my little mini Schnauzer as she was a little timid being new kid on the block. The staff was sensitive and attentive to her care and were patient with her need to ease into the scene. I love being able to see her on the web cams, and anytime I had a question they are quick to respond!!! Plus, she got a wonderfully grooming from Sergio (mobile groomer) Thank you Barkzone!!!🐾🐾
We have been taking our pooches here for a while now, and it’s def our top choice! Staff is caring, understanding, and responsive; they also have webcams available. My cowboy corgi, Ivy Mae, is almost 3yrs old. She has been a regular at the Montavilla BarkZone for the last 2 years. I drop her off approx 8am and pick her up at 4:00 pm, 1-2 x a week. All I have to say is “wanna go to Barkzone?” and she can barely wait to get together with her extended family of staff and other “kids” spending time there. She LOVES BZ and the staff has been exceptionally kind & supportive & because of that, Ivy is people and dog socialized. I’m so glad to have found my way to Barkzone, Maddie and her EXCELLENT staff. Thanks BZ! (She’s the one in the middle of the room on her back)
Great people, great value. Cameras so you can check in on your sweet doggies! My super hyperactive puppy gets socialization and the perfect amount of activity to allow him to relax with us in the evenings. We could not be happier with these wonderful people!
Our princess Romy is almost 3 years old, and has been a regular at Barkzone Montavilla for the past 2 years. She is all tail wags when we drop her off at BZ. The team always welcomes her with love and care and it’s clear my girl loves to be there. At pickup, we enjoy hearing about the new friends made that day. It’s incredibly reassuring to know that we have a place to take our baby girl and know that she will be in such great hands. I’ve been taking my beloved Sunbeam to be groomed at BarkZone for a few years. She is almost 16 years old and I wouldn’t trust anyone but Jessica to groom her. Jessica shows such love and care. She is amazing ❤️
I enjoy coming to work each day and seeing all the happy dog smiles! It really makes my day when a client tells me they are happy to see their dog loves us and loves coming to daycare. A day full of dog kisses is always a plus!
Drop off was great and they l listened to information about my dog and what I was looking for. Sweetie is very old, a little nervous and almost deaf and blind. They treated her with care, and Sweetie looked great and seemed happy when I picked her up. Checkout was quick and they gave a short report of how she did. Price was reasonable. Thank you so much! My dog Pilot has been coming to the Raleigh Hills location for about 2 months. He is a rescue dog and I think he is afraid I am abandoning him when I leave him somewhere new. We started slow and the staff were wonderful making him feel comfortable. Now he loves coming to play and starts freaking out when we pull into the parking lot. I think Pilot enjoys the staff more than the dogs and I appreciate how much they cuddle and love on him. Highly recommend for daycare.
Our dog is a little shy but has always had good experiences at Original Bark. The workers seem to really like dogs. There are a couple of rooms so the dogs have room to spread out if they need a little less stimulation. We also love the webcam so we can check in on our dog during the day. We've never had problems with aggressive dogs. The hours are very convenient for what we need. Would recommend Original Bark to people looking for a relatively relaxed place to bring your dog during the day.
Just left our scheduled temperament check. Extremely disappointed with the service and overall experience. 1st we were punched in the face by an overwhelming dog urine and feces smell. After that, the person behind the counter said hello and acknowledged they received our records. From there he stood up and started walking towards the back, and so we followed. He had to stop us and tell us it would be just him for this part. There was no introduction, there was no formalities, no run-through of what to expect. After we were stopped from entering the back room, I had to ask for him to explain how things worked. Again, there was no introduction to us, no intro to the dog, no mood check in or anything, just straight to the back with a stranger. So of course, our 8 mo old dog didn’t do so hot in the high stress environment. And we were all happy to go our separate ways. Here’s my takeaway, I get hiring people is tough. But there are certain positions that just require a tiny bit more than the bare minimum. Had a good introduction been made and this person spent time to say hello and make our dog comfortable BEFORE dumping all that stress on her, things probably would have gone different. I don’t recommend anyone bringing their dogs here based on the amount of care and attention we received for 12 min. Can’t imagine leaving something I care about there for any longer.
As a Canadian who often travels to Portland to visit family and friends, I couldn’t be happier to have found Original Bark! The staff at Original Bark were beyond helpful with answering all of my questions and helped assure me that their facility would take great care of my pup while he was there. The staff are so caring, friendly, and kind, the facility is clean and spacious, and access to the webcams to check in with your pup was easy to navigate and use. I will definitely be using Original Bark again the next time I visit Portland and would definitely recommend them!
Original Bark is the best boarding facility we’ve ever used. We’ve taken our dogs now for multiple years, and this last time our dog had some health complications and they went above and beyond taking her to normal vet multiples and making sure she felt loved and was well taken care of. We could not ask for more and are so thankful to have the Original Bark team to take care of our dogs while we travel. We are especially thankful to Gabi who kept us in the loop.
I am so impressed with this place. I had to board my dog unexpectedly after just relocating to the area. My dog is super anxious so I was hesitant to board her at a new place without first acclimating her. I didn't see her on the webcam much the first day or two, so I checked in with the staff there. They quickly responded with a long and thoughtful message about behavior patterns they had observed with my dog, and all the things they were doing to make her more comfortable. I didn't ask for this, but they continued to send me updates throughout her stay. I also began to see my dog warm up to the staff and go up to them for pets. This really says a lot because it takes her a long time to trust people and feel safe in new environments. I didn't feel that she was just doing "okay" there, but actually thriving. I can't recommend Original Bark enough!
Original Bark Oleson Rd is the best. Wonderfully tolerant staff for my rambunctious Lab who is a complete clown, flexible drop off and pick up times, fair rates, and even personalized invites to pool parties. He falls asleep in the car on the way home every time.
My high energy terrier had a great experience at Original Bark. They do a temperment assessment to ensure the dog will socialize and play with with the other dogs. Fortunately my dog passed and spent a fun afternoon getting tired out in daycare. They also provide a short report at the end of the day and have nest video cams if you want to check in on the action. Will be going back from time to time and boarding in October for a couple days. It's not cheap by any stretch, but on par with other higher rated day care and kennels in the Beaverton, Hillsboro, Portland area.
My dog is shy, but because of this dog community, he is so much better dealing with other dogs. Thank you:)
Original Bark has been a lifesaver while working from home. The staff seem to truly love dogs. 4 stars because I wish there was an outside area to pee and I wish more was done to encourage active play. My dog seems to just sniff butts and nap.
