Rohan and Theresa’s house is a lovely brand new house with all the facilities you could need, only about a 10 minute walk to a beautiful swimming beach and cafes and restaurants at the marina.
Cora is a bundle of energy who loves to play all day and have a big cuddle in the morning.

Christophe and Chrystele, and of course Nilla were all very welcoming and great hosts! Nilla is the sweetest girl...and crazy smart. She was also very sweet with my little dachshund Zinny that travels with me.

Like most border collies she is playful and loves to play. Walks with the two dogs were a highlight and on more than one occasion people in the neighborhood stopped us when she was either recognized by neighbors or someone just had something nice to say about Nilla.

The cutest thing ever was when I went inside to take a call and left Nilla in the yard with her frisbee. I look up and see the frisbee flying over the neighbors yard back to Nillas yard. I assumed somehow she pushed the frisbee under the fence.....but no, it was the neighbors playing frisbee with Nilla over the fence.

It was my first time in Boston but the house proved to be in a great and convenient location. Great walks were had along the river and past some of the charming neighborhood shops.

The house itself was absolutely beautiful. I loved staying there. Every time I walked into the bathroom I felt like I was in a beautiful hotel...and the kitchen was divine. I could live there.

It was a fun sit, if brief, and I think anyone would enjoy staying in this great house with this great dog.

Amazing waterfront location, beautiful home, loving dogs and very nice owner.
For those looking for a quiet, rural. waterfront, unique setting this place is it!
Kayaks, kindly available for use, take you (and the dogs if you choose) to some great Chesapeake Bay beaches. You have views of the Rappahanock River and we felt we could see right out to the Atlantic Ocean - but that would be too far!
Some fun parks nearby and the dogs love going to them!
Great dogs, who listen well - Bruce has a e-collar and you can see he is well trained!
House has all the amenities!
We'd love to come back during months when swimming is more feasible, although I did take a brief polar dip
thanks for having us Sara!

We have just finished the most wonderful housesit for Alan and Susie. From the very start they made us feel so welcome and they looked after us very well. Ozzy, their much loved labrador, was a joy to look after. He is very well trained and loves his routine.

It was great to spend an evening settling in before Alan and Susie set off on holiday. They are very well organised and left detailed notes to cover any eventuality.

The cottage itself is absolutely lovely - hundreds of years old but beautifully renovated and extended. It is set in the heart of the countryside (deer scatter as you walk through the woods in the morning) yet close enough to quintessential English towns and villages. It was a warm and cosy haven after a wet and windy walk.

There are lots of lovely walks that you can do straight from the cottage but Ozzy is also great in the car which allowed us to get out and about and explore areas further afield. Ozzy is fine both on and off the lead and we enjoyed some great walks with him.

We would highly recommend Alan and Susie ... and of course Ozzy.

We had a truly enjoyable sit for Tonks, I have never met a better behaved dog! He loves company and he loves his walks! He was never a minutes trouble. The house is lovely and if you’re into cooking it’s a chefs delight! The neighborhood is very walker friendly and everything you might need is within walking distance. On top of that, the best Philly cheese steaks are just over a mile away!
