Maureen and Solenn and two more guests (agreed on beforehand) stayed at my place while I was away for a week to look after my cats. For the most part it went well but I did have some spots where they dropped the ball. I requested contact once per day to make sure everything was ok. That didn't happen although they did respond when I reached out but only with one line stating everything was fine. I left cleaning expectations such as vacuuming and cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms prior to them leaving. They state they cleaned before they left. I’m just going to have to say we have different definitions of clean. They did have clean sheets on the beds for my return which was the most important. A glass was broken and they killed at least 3 plants and a few more probably won't make it. A heads up would have been nice about that and an apology. True I didn't state don't open the windows with the plants on the windowsill in -10 degrees Celsius, so I learned I will need to add that to my welcome guide. The garbages were not taken out on garbage day as requested. They were allowed to use my car and they returned it in the same state I left it so that was appreciated. Pet care: that was well done with no concerns that I am aware of. None of these are make or break deals but there was a lot of them so I can't in all honesty give a great review. I’ve had each incident happen in prior sits but not all of these issues in one sit.

Allen stayed for a fortnight in April 2023, doing the sit single-handed. At the outset, we established a very good contact from the initial skype meeting and then Allen stayed with us for a couple of days before the sit was to commence. This gave us time to get to know each other and Christian, Lily and I very much enjoyed his relaxed and friendly company. During this time, Allen asked all the relevant questions, took very thorough notes, and gradually took over the daily tasks with the hens, horses and dogs. All animals have their little ways, and Allen made sure he understood the dynamics with the dogs, their particular needs and idiosyncracies, so that he was able to make decisions when necessary.
The sit went swimmingly
, allowing us to relax and enjoy our break. We received daily updates, photos and videos, and on our return, the place was immaculately clean and tidy. Everything was done in an extremely conscientious manner, above and beyond duty! We would love to have him and Leslie back at any time.
We therefore recommend Allen 100%, as he is an exemplary pet and house sitter!

Where to begin? We couldn't recommend staying with Anita and Gerry enough. Genuine and caring encounters like theirs are rare! We first met them virtually, then in person some time later, where we shared an incredible meal! They took the time to write down all the things to do near their place and recommended the best places to eat.

Odie is fantastic, a well-behaved dog who listens, stays by your side when asked, and is very kind to other dogs, very playful (the dog park is one of the best times with Odie, he loves having all the balls to himself!). He's just as kind to humans, of course. He may seem imposing at first glance, but it's all love! The woods next to the house are beautiful in every season. Odie loves playing in the snow, he's as delighted to see it as a child on Christmas Eve, which is just adorable. He also loves playing with big sticks as big as himself, he'll make you laugh and run around.

The house is perfect, it has everything you need. Decorated with great taste and care, you'll spend the best days indoors. You're in a town remote enough to be peaceful, yet close enough by car to shops and activities.

We could never thank Gerry and Anita enough for their hospitality. You can meet them with your eyes closed. Odie leaves a big void, we'll think of him every time the snow falls.❄️

Benji was great. He loved getting up early and going for long walks. Our kids loved him, as he was good with them. Richard and Anne made time to meet us before this sit and were in constant communication.

Wonderful experience ! Peaches and Maddy are just a delight to spend time with, absolutely sweet and fun. The surrounding area is beautiful, tucked in the mountains, but easy accessibility to whatever one needs, grocery, restaurants, etc. Amazing !

I had the pleasure of looking after Devi and Munch recently. Devi is an energetic puppy who is curious about the world about her. She loves her walks and playing fetch/tug in the backyard. Being a puppy, her shenanigans do require supervision at this stage in her puppyhood to keep her safe; i.e., digging holes under the fence, picking up things in her mouth off the sidewalk. Devi is a beautiful puppy with gorgeous eyes and a velvety coat. We would often get people wanting to say hi to her on our walks. She's a bit shy with strangers but quickly warms up with calming encouragement. And after our walks, Devi would curl up on the couch with me and have a long siesta until dinner when she was raring to go all over again.

Munch is one of the friendliest cats I've ever met. And while Munch is happy just to hang out downstairs, every night like clockwork, Munch would come upstairs for a cuddle after I put Devi to bed in her crate. He would come visit me on the couch, sit on my lap and put his paws on my shoulders and nuzzle me. He's just the sweetest old boy.

And of course the fur parents, Eddie and Bex are great hosts. They are a lovely young couple with a beautiful home who genuinely wanted to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. They care deeply for their pets and their well being and it shows. Thank you Eddie and Bex for inviting me into your home to care for your little tribe. I look forward to watching Devi grow up on IG.

We loved sitting Cruz and this housesit! Billy and Ruben are just the nicest humans and are so welcoming. Their home has everything you could need. It is tidy, clean, and so comfortable. It also was nice having the backyard for quick takeouts, as well as the tree-lined street for daily walks with Cruz!

Cruz is the sweetest boy! He is clearly so loved and he is so well behaved- it is truly impressive for being a younger pup. His personality came out just within a few hours and he warmed up to us quickly! It was great meeting with Billy, Ruben, and Cruz beforehand so they could show us around and we could meet Cruz. We would happily housesit for them again and spend time with Cruz! We highly recommend this housesit for anyone looking for a sweet pup and wonderful communicative hosts!
