You can know a loving household by the love each member of that household exhibits, and that is what we felt from each member here. In particular we had the pleasure of sharing time with the animal ambassadors of this family, who are so fully loved and well taken care of by Karen, Matt, and their son Thomas. Dogs: Molly and Rufus; Cats: Clover, Limestone and Felix; Rabbit: Rosie; Goats: eight of them, Chickens: one rooster and ten hens; all with a unique personality that was able to shine once you get to know them. All the animals brought us such joy with their abundant happiness, which is a testament to the family that cares for them. Karen and Matt have built a home and a farm that works like a perfectly performing orchestra, where every part runs like the sweet sound of music and all the animals are like joyful musicians playing their part with freedom and cheer. When we arrived we were welcomed to the house with a beautiful meal Karen had prepared, and we were walked through the expectations and routine with ease and clarity. They opened their home to us with trust and welcome and it inspired us to do the best job we could of maintaining the love, order, and happiness that ran deep through the home and the animal family. With delightful conversation and warm lessons of how to maintain and improve all aspects of the farm we truly respect Karen, Matt and Thomas and are honoured to have made such great friends. Thank you Karen, Matt and Thomas. -Kathe and Phil
I had a lovely few days by the beach at Bernie's with the boys! So peaceful and relaxing. Bernie made me feel very welcome from the first conversation. Her home is very clean and overlooks the beach. You can hear the waves ... She is very easy to communicate with and even picked me up from the LIRR station, which the commute from Manhatton is only 55min. The cats are lovely! All three boys have their own personality and love their food! Reggie looks shy but is super cuddly when you know him. Snuggles lives up to his name. Midnight is a ball of cat mischief 🙂 I hope you do the sit and get some much-needed R&R in Long Beach. Thank you, Bernie!
No causan ningún problema. Fer y Dami
If you’re considering applying to sit for Kathy and Babak, I encourage you to do so! Kathy & Babak (& Luna) were amazing to connect with for one, and they provided clear instructions upon settling in. If I had any questions, they were prompt in getting back to me and were a joy to engage with! Their peaceful, modern-chic home provided the quiet space I needed to work and write! It also had the best views. Many times I found myself gazing out of their tall windows to see snowcapped mountains reflecting brilliant pinks and purples as the day ended. I loved reading just next to the fire, watching the snow fall, and spending time in the home. I am also just so grateful for their home, as it gave me the sanctuary I was looking for. Their darling cat, Luna, was affectionate, sweet, and fun to be around. I’ll miss cuddling with her and having her has my little accountabili-buddy for my long work days. She was very low maintenance, and if she needed a pet, would gently paw at my feet. If you’re looking for a tranquil space and a sweet cat to keep you company, I highly recommend Kathy and Babak’s home. I’d gladly sit here again should the times align.
Embarking on an incredible 9-day adventure with Debra and her two delightful fur companions, Jesse and Jake, was an experience beyond words. From the moment I stepped foot into their Brisbane/Cleveland home, I knew I was in for something special. Debra's warm hospitality and the genuine affection of her furry duo immediately made me feel right at home. It was evident from the start that Debra wasn't just a host, but a true friend who cared deeply about my comfort and enjoyment during my stay. Communication with Debra was seamless, from our initial video chat to the moment I arrived a day earlier than planned, greeted with open arms at the Cleveland train station. Walking into her picturesque paradise, I was met with the serene beauty of her home and the joyful wagging tails of Jesse and Jake, who were clearly eager to welcome me into their pack.Debra's thorough instructions for caring for the house and her beloved boys made everything a breeze, allowing me to quickly establish a bond with them that felt like it had been years in the making. Our time together was filled with moments of laughter, relaxation, and genuine connection, making it incredibly difficult to say goodbye when the time came to depart Australia. The last couple of days with my new friends, including her brother, was Very nice. I wholeheartedly recommend Debra and her Cleveland sit to anyone seeking a truly unforgettable experience. Until we meet again, may blessings and happiness continue to surround you, my dear friend. You're in good hands, with God watching over you. With heartfelt gratitude and fond memories, Trish from Wisconsin.
We had a great time looking after Lucy, Manny and Harry at Barb's beautiful home in Ottawa. The cats are all very sweet. Manny is quite shy and mostly avoided us apart from at meal times! Harry comes and goes, preferring to be outside and to greet you for a cuddle out in the garden. The boys are both super easy. Lucy is the one who will be your best friend, enjoying a periodic cuddle several times a day and then going to sleep in her bed by the front door. As an elderly cat, she needs careful loving care. We let her come on the bed with us at night if she wanted to because she would sometimes struggle to relax if left alone. As long as she's kept company and fed regularly, she's no problem. We felt very comfortable in the house and enjoyed feeding the squirrels in the garden. You can bike anywhere you like straight out of the house, but central Ottawa is also very easy to access by car. Thank you for having us!
