Ann & Marc are so warm and welcoming! Having arrived to Cushendall before our sit was scheduled to start, Ann provided a wonderful tour of the village, the surrounding area and introduced us to a couple of family members who live in town. We also enjoyed getting to know both Ann and Marc while enjoying dinner at Harry’s, a local restaurant. We stayed with them the night before they left on their trip. It was great to have Ann and Marc walk us through their beautiful home and share Vadie’s routines. In addition, Ann provided a house guide which was easy to understand, had thorough instructions, and local contact information printed and ready for us! They ensured that we were completely comfortable and not in need of anything for our sit. Vadie is such a sweetheart with the most expressive eyes. She is easy to love and care for. While age has limited the length and duration of her walks, she still enjoys a leisurely game of “fetch” in the back garden and playing with water from the hose. She is terrific at communicating her needs. A gentle paw on the leg to let you know that she needs to go out or if it is time for dinner and rolling onto her back to let you know she is in need of some belly rubs. We would gladly sit for Vadie again – miss her already! Even off season Cushendall is a wonderful place to stay. The people are warm and friendly, the town itself completely walkable, and sites both within and in the surround that are full of nature’s beauty and history. We highly recommend!
Had a great time with Wapi! He was easy to take care of and we became best friends right away. The hosts were super welcoming and accommodating. The place was cozy and relaxing. It was not hard to visit Geneva by bus. Thank you Logan and Helen!
What a perfect sit! With great communication from the outset to the end of our sit, between the lovely Serena and Terry, Both of whom were friendly, welcoming and, as they stated, a laid back couple. The location was perfect, with the small villages of Dournazac and Châlus both 10-15 mins drive away. The house although in renovation mode had really comfortable living areas and a fabulous, well equipped, super-organised kitchen. The 4.5 acres of land, complete with a beautiful lake, chestnut trees galore and adjacent to the woods was just incredible. We had the added bonus of being there just as the trees and foliage were showing off their autumn colours. The real star of this sit though was the most gorgeous, loving, affectionate and playful Bonnie. Our hearts had already melted from the photo on the THS site but she had grabbed our heartstrings before the sit began (we arrived the night before when we were met by Bonnie wagging her tail and bounding towards us) Bonnie loved her ball and would happily play throw and fetch ALL day and all night. We did actually play ALL day with her ball and it was never out of her mouth! She was beautifully behaved, with excellent recall and good on and off the lead. The 5 hens and 1 cockerel were really easy to look after. They each had their individual personalities and kept us company in the mornings when sitting by the lake. Clucking around us and feeding corn out of our hands. The 10 chicks were just as entertaining too with the the littlest one, Baby, the most gorgeous and cuddliest of them all. She would follow us around and was never far from us, clucking quietly to herself. The ducks. All 6 of them… well, what can we say? They were the noisiest and most vocal ducks we’ve ever met! They were no trouble and let us know when they wanted to be let out for their loud quacks, stretches and wing flapping in the mornings. We adored each and every one of them. EVEN when they decided to go on a late night out, returning to their beds when the other hens and chicks were already tucked up and sleeping ;) (it made us like this cheeky lot even more!) We admit to shedding a tear when we had to leave. But we would absolutely recommend this sit to anyone who adores the outdoors life, and want to be surrounded by nature. Thank you both for entrusting us with your crew and your home. We had a fabulous time.
Dodie is a very dedicated cat-rescue pet owner with excellent responsiveness and communication that facilitated a smooth sit. The home is very clean and tastefully decorated with some amazing wood furniture crafted by Dodie. The bed and the linens are very comfortable and nice. I slept really well here. Dodie kindly shared lemons from her prolific lemon tree. Buck is an active and inquisitive young cat who enjoys going in and out during the day, playing with her feather wand, the laser pointer, rope, and getting into treats. Buck enjoys curling up in her cat bed especially in the evening after playing. She’s not super cuddly but will be friendly rubbing against legs especially around feeding times, and allowing light petting on her terms. She will usually come if you need to call her when you shake the bag of treats.
We had a great time house sitting and looking after Nova. David is a welcoming host, he provided us with all the information needed. The house is an oasis of calm, especially if you are coming from San Francisco. It is located close to grocery shopping, restaurants and hiking trails - we did not need a car while staying at David's house. Nova was a pure delight to take care of. She was mostly calm, with bursts of playfulness that we enjoyed. Our sit was short and memorable, highly recommended.
A truly unique experience to care for Curtis and Margo’s pets. My favorite were the horses of course. I was able to experience the beauty of the countryside and experience living on a barn and caring for farm animals. The views from their house windows were so good! I’m looking forward to seeing Harley and Border Run again and maybe the shy cats I never saw! ;-)

We are new to the area and were anxious to let someone watch our dog while we were gone. Elizabeth and the team at Loving Care Pet Sitting made the process very simple and comfortable. We know our dog is well taken care of while we are out of town. Elizabeth communicates with is while we are away to ease our nerves of leaving our dog. We have used them 3+ times now and will continue to use them! Thank you Loving Care Pet Sitting! -Sarah, Michael, and Bubs
