Joanne
Alan and I had a great stay in Madrid with the girls, Roca and Chuli! The apartment was in a great location with convenient parks nearby that are dog friendly to take both Roca and Chuli. They are great dogs, very loving, and adjusted quickly to the both of us! Joanne was also very accommodating to the both of us and considerate of our travel dates/plans! We would happily sit for her again in the future! We miss the girls already!

Carey
I had the wonderful opportunity to house and pet sit for Carey, Rudy, Lexi and their terrific cats Issa and Sarah. From the start, it was easy to communicate with Carey, as she promptly answered any questions that I had and sent me a welcome guide far in advance of the sit. Meeting her and her charming daughter Lexi before the sit enabled me to get all the additional information that I needed for my stay.

Their large and comfortable apartment is in an active community with many restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance, and a nearby markthalle stuffed with terrific eating places, bakeries, and vegetable markets. It is a short walk to two U-Bahn stations and public buses are a few hundred meters away, making it easy to get anywhere in the city. The apartment has balconies overlooking the intersection of two nice streets. Kreuzberg is a fantastic part of the city and everything else in Berlin is within easy reach.

Then there is the city itself, clearly one of the most fantastic cities in Europe and a mecca for vegans and vegetarians. There is so much to do in Berlin that one would struggle to be bored here.

And finally there are the adorable cats, Sarah and Issa. Though one (I won’t say which) was described as taking a while to warm up to people, I found them both to be friendly, approachable, and fun. However, don’t let those sweet faces fool you. They do not get fed every time you move. Are you leaving? What about a treat first? You’re back? It’s time to eat. You’re having a snack? Where’s mine? They were always ready to eat and one (again I won’t say which) can fit inside the kibble container while you are holding it in midair trying to get some out. Such talented girls. Despite their charms, however, it would be best to follow Carey’s feeding schedule.

I can highly recommend this housesit and will envy your time there.
